Amare Stoudemire played 17 minutes and had six points, one rebound and one block in his season debut on Tuesday after knee surgery.

It's going to be a slow roll with Amare as the Knicks work him back into the mix, but he did say his knee felt "phenomenal" after the game, for what it's worth.

Michael Malone said that he believes the Nuggets can build around Nikola Jokic.

Jokic exploded onto the scene during the second-half of the 2014-15 season, putting up top-50 value in 9-cat leagues despite earning just 24.8 minutes a night with averages of 10.8 points, 9.0 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steal and 0.8 blocks per game on 48.9 percent shooting. Jokic proved that he's capable of offering solid value in limited minutes, so while he will have a bit more competition for playing time in a healthy Jusuf Nurkic next year, he still makes sense as an early mid-round target.

Marc Gasol (foot) will not play in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Gasol's foot still hasn't healed from the injury that cut short his 2015-16 season and he will not be able to join Team Spain in Brazil. While it's not time to hit the panic button just yet, Gasol's fantasy stock for the 2016-17 season will take a hit if we don't get more positive news closer to draft day.

Denzel Valentine hit a game-winning jumper at the overtime buzzer to propel the Bulls to a Las Vegas Summer League title, finishing with five points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, four turnovers and one 3-pointer.

He actually had a terrible game up until the last minute of the fourth quarter and didn't even score in the first three quarters. On the stat sheet, Valentine had a somewhat disappointing trip to Las Vegas, averaging 12.3 points, 6.5 boards and 2.7 assists in his previous Vegas games. He'll be coming off the bench and could be someone to watch if Dwyane Wade needs to miss time.

The Thunder have rescinded their qualifying offer to Dion Waiters.

That makes him an unrestricted free agent, which means the Thunder won't be able to match an offer sheet from another team. However, they do still have his Bird rights and they could still re-sign him at some point. Waiters would have some decent value in OKC, but he could wind up with the 76ers or Nets.

LeBron James has informed the Cavaliers that he will re-sign with Cleveland this summer.

Coming off an emotional championship victory, James was never expected to entertain offers from other teams. He's in no rush to sign a deal and still needs to meet with his agent to survey his contract options -- in all likelihood he'll sign a deal that includes a player option next summer, to maximize his long-term salary. In the meantime, the Cavs are still working to retain unrestricted free agent J.R. Smith.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey suggested that lottery pick Jakob Poeltl could spend time in the D-League this season.

"I’m projecting [Poeltl and Pascal Siakam] to grow in the year with us, maybe down with the [D-League affiliate] 905," Casey said. "It’s going to be huge for them to be able to play games, but I project that they at some point [help the Raptors]." Toronto doesn't have much depth at center, so we're likely to see Poeltl in the rotation as the season progresses, but Casey's statements do nothing to improve the rookie's fantasy outlook.

The Bucks and Miles Plumlee have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $52 million deal.

Plumlee had multiple suitors but the Bucks were able to retain him without matching an offer sheet, offering an average annual salary of $13 million. He'd be an intriguing fantasy option if Greg Monroe is traded, with per-36-minute averages of 11.2 points, 10.6 boards, 1.0 steals and 1.8 blocks, but for now he's only worth a look in deep formats.

Jahlil Okafor (knee) will be limited to non-contact drills with the U.S. Men's Select Team in Las Vegas.

Okafor will train with the Olympic team from July 18-21 but the Sixers feel that he's "simply not in the kind of basketball condition required to compete at this level," according to team president Bryan Colangelo. His surgically-repaired knee has healed and he's expected to be ready for training camp, though his fantasy outlook is clouded by trade rumors and uncertainty about the Sixers' frontcourt rotation.
Jul 18 - 9:25 AM

The Thunder will reportedly sign 2013 draft pick Alex Abrines this summer.

Abrines won the EuroLeague 'Rising Star' award last season, and the 22-year-old shooting guard will jump to the NBA thanks to a buyout clause in his contract with Barcelona -- OKC will reportedly pay him $18 million over three years. He's an excellent perimeter shooter, going 41.7 percent from deep last year, and his arrival could be a sign that OKC won't retain Dion Waiters. Abrines could crack the rotation but he's unlikely to make a fantasy impact as a rookie.

Wolves guard Tyus Jones has been named the Las Vegas Summer League MVP.

The Wolves were seeded 24th out of 24 teams in the Vegas tournament, but they'll play in the "Finals" on Monday thanks in part to Jones' efforts -- the second-year guard has averaged 19.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.3 steals through seven games. The Summer League First Team is rounded out by Jordan McRae (CLE), Ben Simmons (PHI), Bobby Portis (CHI) and Alan Williams (PHX). The Second Team consists of Tyler Ulis (PHX), Norman Powell (TOR), Kelly Oubre (WAS), Jaylen Brown (BOS) and Thon Maker (MIL).

Kay Felder scored 22 points with five assists, four rebounds and three blocks on Sunday, making 8-of-14 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs in the Cavs' final Summer League game.

Felder was terrific in Vegas and already looks like a steal for the Cavs, who spent more than $2 million to land him with a second-round pick. He hit 2-of-5 shots from downtown tonight and deep-league owners should keep him in mind on draft day, though he's unlikely to have much value while Kyrie Irving.
