Mo Williams underwent right thumb surgery Friday.

Per the Jazz, the surgery on Williams' shooting thumb "went according to plan." He will be limited to weightlifting and conditioning work for the next six weeks and will then be reevaluated. In nine starts this season, Jamaal Tinsley has averaged 7.0 points, 6.6 assists, 1.3 3-pointers and 1.1 steals. He's worth an add for deep-leaguers in need of dimes.

Pau Gasol had his left knee wrapped after Sunday's game, though he said it was "nothing serious."

Gasol appeared to tweak his knee during the game and although he dismissed concerns, the Spurs will obviously err on the side of caution here. San Antonio only plays twice this week, beginning Wednesday vs. the visiting Pelicans, so maybe the two days of rest will be enough for Pau to fully recover. Check back for updates in the next 48 hours.

The Spurs' four-game losing streak ended on Sunday behind LaMarcus Aldridge's 27 points (9-of-20 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, three assists and one block in 37 minutes.

Aldridge missed a few games prior to the break with knee soreness, and it looks like the extended rest did the trick -- in the past two games he's averaged 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. His efforts helped the Spurs avoid their first five-game losing skid since 2010-11, and moved them into a virtual tie with the Timberwolves for the No. 3 seed in the West. That playoff-seeding battle should help Aldridge avoid onerous restrictions and DNPs down the stretch.
Feb 25 - 7:06 PM

Danny Green returned to action on Sunday with 22 points, three rebounds, one steal and one block in 23 minutes, making 6-of-11 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs.

Green tied his season-high with five 3-pointers and he fell just shy of his high for scoring (24 points on Nov. 7). This was his first game as a reserve since 2014 and the early results were encouraging -- with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out indefinitely, he could still carve out 24-26 minutes if he sticks in a bench role. He's still just a fringe option better suited to roto leagues.
Feb 25 - 6:53 PM

Jrue Holiday helped lead the Pelicans to victory on Sunday, popping off for 36 points, nine boards, six dimes, two triples, one steal, one block and two turnovers in 42 minutes of action.

Holiday really struggled through the first half of action, but he dominated the second half and overtime, scoring 26 of his 36 points while rocking a ridiculous 44.6 usage rate. This was Holiday's fifth straight 20+ point performance, and the sixth time this season he had 30 points or more, which accounts for the most 30-point games he's had in a single season. After struggling with injuries and various restrictions over the past four seasons, he's finally healthy and having himself a career-year.
Feb 25 - 6:49 PM

Eric Gordon (illness) and Nene (rest) will both sit out Sunday's game vs. Denver.

Gordon didn't practice on Saturday and was considered doubtful for his game, so owners should have already been prepared for his absence. Joe Johnson should pick up most of the slack as an accomplished playmaker off Houston's bench.
Feb 25 - 6:33 PM

Paul Millsap (wrist) could return in 1-2 weeks, according to coach Mike Malone.

Millsap is trending in the right direction and this moves up his return date slightly, compared to the 2-4 week window mentioned on Feb. 21. Even if there's some initial rust when he returns, Millsap is too good to leave floating on your waiver wire.
Feb 25 - 6:32 PM

Khris Middleton scored a team-high 25 points in Sunday's overtime loss to the Pelicans, adding one 3-pointer, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three turnovers in 38 minutes.

Middleton hit a huge, step-back jumper over E'Twaun Moore with under a minute left to tie up the game for Milwaukee, and he was the lead dog during the overtime period, posting a crazy 50.0 usage rate. Unfortunately, he went iso against Nikola Mirotic on one of the Bucks' final few possessions, which ended with him getting swatted and Milwaukee went on to lose the game.
Feb 25 - 6:26 PM

Tyreke Evans (right ribs) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. Boston.

Evans was due to have an MRI on Sunday and owners should sit tight while we await the results. He was reportedly feeling good on Saturday and this could be a simple precaution, as Memphis has zero incentive to play Evans -- they're headed to the draft lottery and he's headed to unrestricted free agency. Andrew Harrison and Mario Chalmers stand to benefit with more ball-handling duties, and Jarell Martin could earn another start if Memphis opts to go big.
Feb 25 - 6:22 PM

Once Ersan Ilyasova's buyout is completed with Atlanta, he's expected to sign a deal with Philadelphia.

Ilyasova spent time in Philly last year, so he's familiar with Brett Brown's system, and he'll help add some depth and 3-point shooting to the 76ers' frontcourt. However, it's unlikely he'll earn enough minutes with the 76ers to make a meaningful impact in fantasy hoops, so he's safe to leave on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Feb 25 - 5:03 PM

Nicolas Batum did a little bit of everything during Sunday's easy win over the Pistons, tallying 15 points, four triples, five boards, nine dimes, three steals, one block and one turnover in 29 minutes.

Batum had a nice two-man game going with Dwight Howard, throwing him numerous alley-oops, and overall, he did an excellent job of running the floor racking up six dimes by halftime. He also went 5-of-10 from the field and 1-of-1 from the stripe to give him an elite 71.8 true shooting percentage on the evening, and he probably would have had an even juicier stat line if the game weren't such a blowout.
Feb 25 - 4:17 PM

Patty Mills will remain in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cavs.

Danny Green (illness) will be coming off the bench in his return from a one-game absence, so while Mills will remain a starter, he likely won't play quite as many minutes with Green available. Joining Mills in the starting five will be Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson, LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol.
