Jameer Nelson scored 21 points on 7-of-21 shooting (2-of-11 from beyond the arc, 5-of-6 from the foul line) with three rebounds, 12 assists, and one steal in the Magic's overtime loss to the Blazers.

Nelson overtook Scott Skiles as the Magic's all-time assists leader, which was extremely coincidental considering Skiles was in the news for parting ways with the Bucks tonight.

Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Joel Embiid will start against the Thunder on Friday.

Covington is back and he's been expected to play all day. He'll probably have his hands full today as he may have to guard Paul George or at least Carmelo Anthony. Covington was in a serious groove before his back injury as he fell into the stands on Saturday, so get him rolling.
Dec 15 - 6:51 PM

Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Tyler Zeller will start against the Raptors on Friday.

The Nets will indeed just upgrade their first unit players with their primary second unit guys. Harris should still be looking at minutes in the upper 20s, but he is probably going to have to share with Nik Stauskas. Harris is still worth a look as a DFS play and has value in deep leagues until at least D'Angelo Russell gets back.
Dec 15 - 6:39 PM

Jahlil Okafor and Nik Stauskas are expected to play against the Raptors on Friday.

The Nets are missing a lot of their depth, so maybe coach Kenny Atkinson does go with more two-center lineups. Jarrett Allen has been used as a power forward before, so maybe he gets minutes next to Jah. Of course, Okafor's minutes are not a lock today and he's still more of a stash.
Dec 15 - 6:17 PM

Updating a previous report, Sindarius Thornwell is starting alongside Lou Williams.

A report from the Washington side of things had C.J. Williams in the starting lineup, but that has since been corrected. It has also been confirmed by Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times. In six starts this season, Thornwell has averaged 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.2 triples.
Dec 15 - 6:14 PM

Allen Crabbe (left knee soreness) will not play against the Raptors on Friday.

The Nets called up Isaiah Whitehead today, so they were prepared for Crabbe not to be out there. With him out, there's a good chance Caris LeVert gets the start as he looks to build off his strong week as the backup point guard. On the bench, it could be time for Nik Stauskas, or we see more Whitehead or Joe Harris.

Aaron Gordon won't have a minutes limit in his return against the Blazers on Friday.

He was close to playing on Wednesday, but the team held him out. Gordon has said he had a history of concussions from his earlier football days and he even had a severe one in middle school. His fantasy owners should happily put him back in their lineups and can have high hopes right out of the gate. He could have low ownership in DFS and is an option.
Dec 15 - 5:56 PM

Delon Wright (shoulder) is available to play against the Nets on Friday.

This is awesome news for the Raptors after it looked like Wright was going to need surgery on his shoulder for the second time. The Raptors second-unit defense has been one of the best in league, and Wright will be seeing minutes at two positions. His return means it's probably time to drop Fred VanVleet and Norm Powell while Wright is worth a look in deeper leagues.
Dec 15 - 5:51 PM

Austin Rivers (concussion) will not play Friday or Saturday.

He is going to be re-evaluated after tonight's game against the Wizards, but he simply won't be far along enough in the protocol to play. In other words, the team doesn't know if he's symptom-free yet, so he still has too many steps to go through before he gets cleared. With him out, we'll see C.J. Williams probably start while Sindarius Thornwell and Jawun Evans figure to get in the rotation.
Dec 15 - 5:49 PM

Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Aron Baynes and Al Horford will start against the Jazz on Friday.

The Celtics will go with their usual lineup against the size of the Jazz. Horford got Wednesday off against the Nuggets, but it was scheduled rest to get him ready for the upcoming games. He needs to be in all lineups despite how he could have a tough matchup against Gobert.
Dec 15 - 5:41 PM

Avery Bradley (right adductor) will not play against the Pacers on Friday and Luke Kennard will start in his place.

It's a new injury for Bradley and it didn't seem to bother him too much during his 27-minute, 18-point game against the Hawks. Hopefully, he's only day-to-day and this is just a precaution in a back-to-back set. With him out, Kennard should be getting around 20 minutes while Langston Galloway also has a chance to get hot and play over 20 minutes off the bench.
Dec 15 - 5:37 PM

Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will start against the Magic and will have a minutes limit.

He's been doing some on-court work since at least Monday, so Nurkic should be somewhat ready for his return. With him back, it'll be interesting to see if Zach Collins' strong play has helped him get minutes from Ed Davis or Meyers Leonard. Nurkic is still worth starting in season-long leagues, but he's a very risky play in DFS.
