J.J. Barea won't play Wednesday night against the Thunder due to a back injury.

With Malcolm Lee and Brandon Roy both sidelined by knee injuries and Ricky Rubio on a minutes limit, Barea's back ailment is poorly timed to say the least. Expect to see a lot of Luke Ridnour and Alexey Shved on Wednesday. Lazar Hayward will likely get some time, as well.

Bradley Beal moved back into the starting lineup on Tuesday and responded with 26 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals, a block and five 3-pointers on 8-of-14 shooting.

His line will likely get lost in the shadows of John Wall's big night, but Beal was pretty spectacular. He'd been coming off the bench since returning from his leg injury (as well as a concussion and broken nose) in mid-January but returned to his rightful place in the starting five tonight. He's rolling right now too, averaging 21.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.4 3-pointers on 55 percent shooting over his last five, making him worth the wait.
Feb 9 - 11:12 PM

Greg Monroe came off the bench in a win over the Celtics on Tuesday, but he thrived with a season-high 29 points, 12 boards, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes.

The Bucks had lost their five previous games, so coach Jason Kidd changed his lineup looking for a spark. "I talked to [Monroe] after practice and for [Monroe], it's about the team," Kidd said. "I think he's all for the team and he understands what we're trying to do." Kidd added that Monroe's minutes would remain intact and he closed out the game tonight, so his owners really shouldn't be too concerned. Starting center Miles Plumlee played just 18 minutes.
Feb 9 - 10:34 PM

Hassan Whiteside was ejected from Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs for a flagrant 2 foul.

The ejection was warranted as Whiteside threw an obvious elbow into Boban Marjanovic. Whiteside has been in trouble with the league before for similar reasons, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he received a suspension. He finished with 14 points, six boards and two blocks in 25 minutes.
Feb 9 - 10:17 PM

According to Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace, Brandan Wright (knee) is progressing well.

Wright has been recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery that he had in mid-December, but Wallace added that he is expecting to have the big man back after the All-Star break. Marc Gasol was diagnosed with a broken right foot on Tuesday and is out indefinitely, so Wright could potentially have a significant role once he gets his legs under him. He's worth a speculative add if you're in need of a big.
Feb 9 - 9:23 PM

Hassan Whiteside (ankle) will be available to play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

He tweaked his ankle during Sunday's game, but he made it through tonight's warmups and is ready to give it a go. Whiteside's minutes are still being held in check by coach Erik Spoelstra, but he's still a must-start player in season-long leagues.
Feb 9 - 8:11 PM

Miles Plumlee will start over Greg Monroe for Tuesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Jason Kidd said that Plumlee has been a "plus" for the Bucks while on the floor this season and that he needs to "find time to get [Miles] more minutes," so perhaps he's set to earn more playing time in Kidd's wonky rotations. However, with Greg Monroe fully healthy, Plumlee is unlikely to earn enough minutes to make a difference in standard leagues, and owners in most settings can use a wait-and-see approach here.
Feb 9 - 7:01 PM

O.J. Mayo (hamstring) will start Tuesday vs. the Celtics, sending Michael Carter-Williams to the bench.

The Bucks will roll out a starting five of Mayo, Kris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker and Miles Plumlee for Tuesday's game with MCW and Greg Monroe coming off the bench. It'll be interesting to see how many minutes Jason Kidd gives Mayo given that O.J. has spent the past 11 games on the sidelines, but Carter-Williams' playing time looks ready to take a hit with both Mayo and Jerryd Bayless active.
Feb 9 - 6:45 PM

Greg Monroe will come off the bench behind Miles Plumlee for Tuesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Well this is about the most Jason Kidd move of all time. Kidd did say that Monroe will see just as many minutes as he usually does, "if not more," coming off the bench so owners shouldn't hesitate to fire him up for tonight's matchup with the Celtics. Plumlee isn't much of a stat sheet stuffer, so owners in most leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with the four-year veteran.
Feb 9 - 6:44 PM

Nene (calf) and Kris Humphries (knee) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Knicks.

Nene isn't really capable of playing much more than 20 minutes, which isn't enough time for him to produce reliable fantasy value in most settings. Humphries will likely be eased back into the rotation following a month long absence, and he isn't worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 9 - 6:41 PM

Jae Crowder (ankle) will play Tuesday vs. the Bucks.

"This is the most opportunity he's ever gotten," said Brad Stevens on Crowder. "He's a versatile player." He'll continue to fight through the pain, and is safe to activate in all leagues.
Feb 9 - 6:40 PM

Luol Deng (illness) and Udonis Haslem (illness) will "give it a go" Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

Deng sat out Tuesday morning's shootaround with the illness, but that won't stop him from missing tonight's game against San Antonio. He has a horrible matchup, so Deng isn't a great DFS target.
