Roy Hibbert suffered back spasms in the first half, returned to the game in the third quarter and then aggravated his back in the fourth quarter.

He blocked Tyson Chandler at the rim and he went down in agonizing pain. Hibbert was stretching his back near the bench, then headed to the locker room. We wouldn't expect him to return and his status will be up in the air for Saturday's game against the Bobcats. Ian Mahinmi would start in his place with Jeff Pendergraph getting extra minutes off the bench. Hibbert finished with four points, three rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes.

Carmelo Anthony (back spasms) said he hopes to return soon, but won't play with back spasms.

Anthony said he could barely walk before sitting out Wednesday's game against the Mavericks and later said that he was still sore and stiff. "I don’t think it will be too long,’’ Anthony said. "I think the spasms will go away. But I’m not going to play with spasms." Melo will travel with the Knicks to Oklahoma for Friday's game against the Thunder, but his owners may want to plan on being without him for at least another game. If Anthony is unable to suit up Friday, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith would be the biggest fantasy beneficiaries.

Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman reports there is a growing belief around the Thunder that Kevin Durant (foot) could return as soon as Friday against the Knicks.

Mayberry cites the Thunder's decision to release Sebastian Telfair as a reason Durant may be closer to a return and writes that, "The Thunder’s decision to waive Telfair as opposed to apply for a third 10-day stint on Smith serves as confirmation that the team is confident that either Durant, [Russell] Westbrook or rookie forward Mitch McGary will be available at some point over the next three games." If Durant doesn't return on Friday, he'll have two chances over the following week as the Thunder visit the Pelicans and 76ers.

Gerald Green scored 24 points against the Nuggets during a 120-112 win on Wednesday, adding three rebounds, two assists and six 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

When he's on, he's on. Green has been very busy in the fourth quarter when he plays and he's racked up a whopping 13 triples over his last three games. Isaiah Thomas (ankle) did not play tonight and it's pretty clear Green will see a massive bump in production when Thomas, Eric Bledsoe or Goran Dragic need to miss game action. He is still going to be inconsistent, but feel free to give him a look until IT3 is back.
Nov 27 - 3:19 AM

Markieff Morris was all over the court against the Nuggets on Wednesday, posting a monster line of 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and three steals in 37 minutes.

He made the Manimal look like a pedestrian tonight and had a highlight-reel block in transition. Morris is filling it up like few others in his last five, averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 blocks, 1.8 steals and 0.2 treys on 50.8 percent from the field and 92.3 percent from the line. He's a fantasy star and he's going to do this all year.
Nov 27 - 3:03 AM

Timofey Mozgov scored 18 points with 13 boards, three steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer against the Suns on Wednesday.

That triple is not a misprint and it was his the fifth of his career and first of the season. Mozgov's role is solidified with JaVale McGee (leg) out and Jusuf Nurkic not getting minutes. He should be a top-100 player for the foreseeable future and should be owned in standard leagues.
Nov 27 - 2:46 AM

Manu Ginobili hit 10-of-18 shots, two 3-pointers and 6-of-7 free throws for a season-high 28 points, four rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win over the Pacers.

There was no way to see this one coming, as he had totaled just 19 points over his last four games and hasn't scored more than 28 points in a game since last February. He ruined Danny Green tonight, but it's nice to know he can still produce on occasion. He's not trustworthy enough to be owned in most leagues, but is worth keeping an eye on.
Nov 27 - 2:33 AM

Larry Sanders was the 2012-13 version of himself against the Wolves on Wednesday with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, five blocks and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

He made 7-of-10 from the field and only committed three fouls in his best game of the year. Sanders was coming off a nice 12-point, nine-board game, so it's going to be awfully hard to leave him on the wire considering his upside in blocks. If you have anything on your team you're not too attached to, go get him before someone else does.
Nov 27 - 1:49 AM

Donatas Motiejunas scored a career-high 21 points against the Kings on Wednesday with six rebounds, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer on 10-of-15 from the field.

This is his third effective game in a row with an average of 13.5 points per game in his previous two. He's also seen a major bump in minutes with 35.7 per game over his last three. The Rockets won't get Terrence Jones (leg) back any time soon and Dwight Howard (knee) is out, so Motiejunas is worth a look in all standard leagues now that he seems to have figured it out.
Nov 27 - 1:29 AM

Isaiah Canaan scored a career-high 24 points against the Kings on Wednesday with six rebounds, four assists, four steals and six 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

He was open all night in easily his best game as a pro. Canaan was coming in with no momentum with only 15 points combined in his previous four games and Jason Terry was actually gaining ground on him. Considering how Patrick Beverley (hamstring) is out for a bit, Canaan is worth a look. Although, he has a bad matchup against Chris Paul on Friday.
Nov 27 - 1:24 AM

DeMarcus Cousins suffered a leg injury against the Rockets on Wednesday and did not miss time, finishing with 29 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and seven turnovers in 37 minutes.

After the game, he said his knee is sore, but he will be fine for Friday against the Spurs. Cousins has put the team on his back over his last seven and has a usage of at least 36 percent in five of those games, which led to averages of 25.0 points, 14.3 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.9 blocks on 52.4 percent from the field and 83.3 from the line. He is a monster and is basically unstoppable.
Nov 27 - 12:58 AM

Lou Williams may have had a revenge game against the Hawks on Wednesday during a win, making 6-of-11 from the field for 22 points with two assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

He's so hot right now. Perhaps no bench player is performing at his level, averaging 24.3 points, 1.8 boards, 2.3 steals, 3.5 treys and 0.5 turnovers on 50.0 percent from the field and 96.4 percent from the line in his last four. We'd be lying if we said we saw this coming, but he's just too hot to leave on the wire right now.
