Kevin Durant had his second 40-point game in his last three contests against the Suns on Monday, scoring 41 points with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 43 minutes.

He won Western Conference Player of the Week for last week's performance and justifiably so. Durant shot 15-of-30 from the field and hasn't shot below 47 percent in any of his eight 2013 games. He should be considered as the frontrunner for MVP at this point.

Brandon Ingram struggled in a start at PG on Sunday, going 2-of-12 from the field and 2-of-3 from the line on his way to six points, one board, one steal, three turnovers and zero assists in 36 minutes.

Ingram air-balled his first shot, and just never really got things going after that, but he wasn't the only guy to struggle today as only two Lakers (Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams) managed to crack double-digits in the scoring department. Nick Young finished with nine points, two boards, one triple and one assist, and Julius Randle put up nine points, six boards, four assists, one steal and three turnovers in the blowout. The Lakers lost by 49 points today, their worst loss in franchise history.

Wesley Matthews (right hip strain) is expected to play vs. the Knicks on Wednesday, according to coach Rick Carlisle.

We'll hedge our bets until he's officially cleared to play, but this is still an extremely encouraging report after watching him limp off the court on Sunday. When asked if he'd play vs. the Knicks, he replied, "That's the plan." He benefits from having two days off, and he's known for battling through injuries, so it would be a surprise if he's ultimately ruled out.
Jan 22 - 6:05 PM

Danilo Gallinari (ankle) will play on Sunday, as expected.

Gallo was listed as probable, so this isn't a surprise, but his status was worth confirming with Denver in the second half of a back-to-back set. Deploy him as usual tonight.
Jan 22 - 5:51 PM

Deron Williams scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting during Sunday's 122-73 blowout win over the Lakers, adding eight assists, five boards, one 3-pointer and zero turnovers in 26 minutes.

Williams surpassed Kevin Johnson for the No. 20 spot on all-time assist list in this one, and he now needs just 11 more dimes to pass up Muggsy Bogues for the No. 19 spot. Williams was widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the league during his Utah days, but in 2017 he’s past his prime and just clinging to late-round value.
Jan 22 - 5:49 PM

Gary Harris (ankle) will start Sunday's game vs. the Timberwolves, sending Will Barton back to the bench.

Harris will be returning from a three-game stint on the sidelines, and he'll be on a minutes limit, but he offers enough upside that he should be scooped up in most leagues if he was cut during the injury. With Harris on a minutes limit, Barton shouldn't take too drastic of a hit, but once he's fully up to speed both Barton and Jamal Murray will lose some minutes.
Jan 22 - 5:36 PM

Ricky Rubio (personal) is expected to rejoin the team on Monday, and he will fly with the squad to Phoenix for Tuesday's game against the Suns.

Rubio will miss Sunday's game against the Nuggets, but it sounds like this will only end up being a one-game absence due to the personal issue. Kris Dunn will draw the start tonight sans Rubio, and he's on the radar in daily leagues with an uptempo matchup against one of the worst teams in the league at defending the point guard position.
Jan 22 - 5:29 PM

Kris Dunn will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Nuggets, with Ricky Rubio (personal) unavailable.

Dunn hasn't really had a coming out game yet at the NBA level, but he's going to get a ton of opportunity tonight with a favorable matchup against the Nuggets and no Rubio around to mess with his minutes. He's on the radar as a potential streamer punt play in DFS. Tyus Jones should also see some extended minutes off the bench tonight.
Jan 22 - 5:21 PM

Patrick Patterson (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Suns.

Patterson was able to go through a full practice on Saturday, and while head coach Dwane Casey said acknowledged that he's now pain-free, he wants to be extra cautious and give Patterson an extra day to rest up. The Raptors have a back-to-back set coming up Tuesday vs. San Antonio and Wednesday in Memphis, and it seems likely that Patterson will be able to get back for at least one of those games.
Jan 22 - 4:22 PM

Lucas Nogueira (concussion) will play Sunday vs. the Suns.

Nogueira will be returning from a two-game stint on the sidelines, and his return to action will likely cut into Norman Powell's minutes. It's unclear if Nogueira will immediately be re-inserted back into the starting five, but it'll be interesting to see what his minutes look like tonight with Jared Sullinger working his way back into game shape. Still, Nogueira only needs roughly 20 minutes to put up some elite block totals, so give him a look if you're seeking a boost in the shot blocking category.
Jan 22 - 4:21 PM

Joe Harris (left ankle) will not play Monday vs. the Spurs.

This will be Harris' second straight game on the sidelines, which could result in Sean Kilpatrick earning another start with Caris LeVert logging extended minutes with the second unit. Both Kilpatrick and LeVert will be on the radar in daily leagues, and LeVert presents enough upside you can justify stashing him in most formats. Harris belongs on the waiver wire everywhere.

The Bulls are reportedly actively shopping Rajon Rondo and Nikola Mirotic, although thus far, GM Gar Forman has not seen an offer he deems a worthy return.

"Obviously, you knew that would be the case with Rondo," an unnamed source said. "But they don’t like what they’re hearing back on [Mirotic] either. Then again, that’s a [front office] that tends to overvalue its assets." With how low Rondo's value is right now around the league, the Bulls may be forced to outright cut him in order to get him off the roster, but until he's wearing a different jersey he won't be worth owning in standard leagues. Mirotic is consistently inconsistent, and a change to the name across the front of his uniform may not be able to change that.
