Al-Farouq Aminu hit 3-of-9 shots and 12-of-13 free throws on his way to 18 points, nine rebounds and two steals.

It's official. Aminu is worth a close look in most leagues, despite his inconsistent scoring, and it's also worth noting he likely benefitted from the absence of Eric Gordon tonight, who was out for rest. Aminu is back in the rotation and averaging 26 minutes, along with 8.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks over his last five. Just beware that he's scored five or fewer points in three of those, and got most of them from the free throw line tonight.

James Harden added his newest piece of evidence in his bid for MVP during a 115-111 overtime win over the Nuggets on Wednesday scoring 41 points with four rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

He made 11-of-21 from the field and 18-of-21 from the field in 45 minutes. This line is pretty ridiculous and he became the sixth player since 1985-86 to have more than 20 attempts from the field, more than 20 attempts from the line, and at least 10 assists. The other five are Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Allen Iverson and Kenny Anderson. Harden is good.
Dec 18 - 3:52 AM

Dwight Howard played 43 minutes in an overtime win over the Nuggets on Wednesday with 24 points, 16 boards, one assist and four blocks on 7-of-16 from the field and 10-of-15 from the line.

The Rockets starters lived at the charity stripe with 48 attempts while their bench didn't have any. As for Howard, he was as dominant as he has been all season and helped keep the Nuggets out of the paint. His 43 minutes are a very encouraging sign and his fantasy owners should have some shred of confidence in him now. Of course, it makes a lot of sense to sell high considering how much time he missed from an injury that came out of nowhere.
Dec 18 - 3:29 AM

DeAndre Jordan abused Roy Hibbert for 15 points, 23 rebounds and two blocks on 4-of-8 shooting on Wednesday.

He hit just 7-of-15 shooting, but you don't care about his free throw percentage if you own him, as his struggles from the line are not a surprise, nor is he going to improve from there any time soon. DJ's line will be overshadowed by what Andre Drummond did tonight (19 points, 24 rebounds, four steals, three blocks), but Jordan's line was certainly noteworthy. Make a note to play opposing centers against Hibbert and the Pacers going forward.
Dec 18 - 2:52 AM

Thomas Robinson excelled in his first start of the season on Wednesday during a win over the Bucks, scoring 15 points with 16 boards, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 29 minutes.

The Bucks did a Hack-A-Rob strategy late in the game, so he only made 5-of-15 from the line. Robinson had a couple bright spots last season while the Blazers were missing LaMarcus Aldridge, but he had a number of disappearing acts, too. Coach Terry Stotts said he's going to be mixing up his lineups, so this is not the new norm for Robinson. We'll need to see it again before signing off on him as a pickup in standard leagues.
Dec 18 - 2:34 AM

Khris Middleton scored 17 points in 33 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday with three rebounds, three steals and four 3-pointers.

He started the second half with Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) going down in the second quarter. Middleton is certainly going to benefit with the injury to Jabari Parker (knee) and does have a usage rate of 20, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. His prospective owners just need to remember that coach Jason Kidd runs some wild rotation and Antetokounmpo's injury is not serious.
Dec 18 - 1:59 AM

Giannis Antetokounmpo's left ankle injury is not considered serious and there is a chance he plays against the Kings on Thursday.

This is great news. The Bucks absolutely need Antetokounmpo back with Jabari Parker (knee) out for the season. Obviously, this positive outlook could change quickly and he is very questionable to play in a late game. If he's out, Khris Middleton would start and have decent value in standard leagues. Jared Dudley would also gain value.
Dec 18 - 1:43 AM

Mason Plumlee made another start for Brook Lopez (back) and had a career-high 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 9-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's loss.

Plumlee got off to a dreadful start when Bro-Lo went down, but has now scored 21 and 23 points in his last two games. He's a free throw killer and hit just 5-of-11 of them tonight, but as long as Lopez is out, Plumlee should be in your lineup. He's averaging 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, but is shooting just 43 percent at the line during that stretch.
Dec 18 - 1:38 AM

Dwyane Wade hit 12-of-19 shots for a season-high 42 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.

The bad news is he hit just 16-of-21 free throws and committed six turnovers, but the fact he played so well in a pair of back-to-backs (while battling an illness tonight) speaks volumes. The Heat are off until Friday, so hopefully Wade is able to get some rest and will be ready to go. He had 28 on Tuesday against the Nets.
Dec 18 - 1:01 AM

Tim Duncan played 48 minutes against the Grizzlies during a triple-overtime loss on Wednesday, scoring 23 points with 16 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Yeah, he's probably not playing on Friday against Portland. Duncan actually hit a buzzer-beater to send this game to triple-OT, but he missed 10 of his 15 free throws -- tied his most misses in a game in his career (happened four other times). Again, his fantasy owners should plan on him sitting out one if not both back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
Dec 18 - 12:45 AM

Danny Green had one of the most unique stat lines in NBA history on Wednesday during a triple-overtime loss to Memphis, scoring a season-high 25 points with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, five blocks and seven 3-pointers in 52 minutes.

He became the first player in NBA history to make seven triples and block five shots in a game. Unlike last year, Green is seeing consistent minutes and it's led to him flirting with first-round value on the season. He's not going to be this great, but he's absolutely going to smash his ADP.
Dec 18 - 12:36 AM

Al Jefferson scored 18 of his 28 points in the first quarter against the Suns on Wednesday, adding 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes.

He scored more points in the first quarter than any of his previous three games, so this outburst was a surprise. The Suns have been soft on the inside, so kudos to Jefferson for capitalizing. He gets another tasty matchup against the 76ers on Friday, so his fantasy owners should have high hopes.
