Chris Paul (knee) played 32 minutes in Monday's matinee, but he scored just four points on 1-of-7 shooting and was limping badly toward the end of the game.

Vinny Del Negro promised to 'closely monitor' CP3's activity tonight, on account of his recent knee injury, yet he allowed his franchise player to stay in the game when he was struggling just to jog down the court. The Clippers lost anyway and as a precaution we're considering Paul questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Thunder. Check back soon for an update.

Ty Lawson (back) will play against the Hornets on Monday.

He is dealing with back soreness and there is no word of him being limited. Lawson's bigger issue has been his ankle and he hasn't had too many back issues in his career, so his fantasy owners can throw him into their lineups. If something goes wrong, Nate Robinson would get more run.
Dec 22 - 5:39 PM

Kobe Bryant was held out of practice on Monday and coach Bryon Scott has not decided on his status for Tuesday.

Kobe has been complaining about his body not being right, so there's a good chance he sits on Tuesday or at least one game this week. The Lakers have four games this week, so it still makes sense to start Bryant in weekly formats. If he's out Nick Young, Wayne Ellington and Wes Johnson will benefit.
Dec 22 - 3:32 PM

The Houston Rockets have emerged as the frontrunner for Josh Smith, according to Yahoo! Sports.

From an offensive standpoint, this makes zero sense. Smith gave himself the nickname Mid Range Shawty a couple years ago and the Rockets take less mid-range shots than any team. He reportedly was "fixated" on joining the Rockets, who have two improving power forwards in Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones (leg). Owners in standard leagues might have an excuse to cut him now because he was just the No. 182nd player in those formats before today.
Dec 22 - 2:46 PM

David Lee (hamstring) will play against the Kings on Monday.

He went through both practices over the weekend and should be ready to go. One thing that will not be ready to go is his former role, which has been taken over by Draymond Green. Lee is not going to have the fantasy value he used to have and is unlikely to be a top-80 guy over the next month. Green owners shouldn't be too concerned.
Dec 22 - 2:29 PM

Kevin Durant (ankle) missed practice on Monday and is a game-time decision against the Blazers on Tuesday.

The Thunder called it a "mild" ankle sprain on Friday, but they're still being very cautious. OKC rattled off a seven-game winning streak this month and are already just 1.5 games out of a playoff spot, so resting him makes sense. The Thunder have four games this week, so it's almost impossible to bench KD in weekly leagues.
Dec 22 - 2:21 PM

George Hill (knee) has been upgraded to questionable against the Pelicans on Tuesday, and he could make his season debut.

Hill's knee has responded well, and now he just has to get his conditioning together in order to make his season debut. At this point, Hill should not be on the waiver wire in any format, and if he is, make sure to scoop him up immediately as the Pacers sorely need everything he brings on offense. He'll be tasked with playing as large of a role as he can handle. CJ Watson and Donald Sloan will be pushed into their usual reserve roles when Hill returns.
Dec 22 - 1:41 PM

Jeff Teague (hamstring) is doubtful to play on Monday against the Mavericks, and there is no timetable for his return.

Teague hasn't been able to suit up since last week, and it doesn't appear he's getting close yet. Dennis Schroder will draw another start in Teague's place, and he's averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 2.5 turnovers in a tiny two-game sample size.
Dec 22 - 1:20 PM

Tony Parker (hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's game against the Clippers.

Parker has missed five straight and eight of nine games with the hamstring injury, so the upgrade in status is a great sign after he was previously declared out. If Parker is able to play, Cory Joseph would go back to the bench and lose a lot of his fantasy appeal in the process. However, it is worth noting that Parker has already aggravated the issue once, and the Spurs are notoriously careful with their veteran players.

LaMarcus Aldridge (upper respiratory illness) is questionable to face the Rockets on Monday, and Terry Stotts said he'll be a game-time decision.

Aldridge has been on a tear over his last several games, so the Blazers missing him in this one against the Rockets would be a tough blow. If he is forced to sit, Thomas Robinson would likely draw the start in his place with Joel Freeland starting at center for Robin Lopez (hand). Stay tuned.
Dec 22 - 1:12 PM

Brook Lopez (back) returned to practice on Monday, but he's not expected to play on Tuesday.

This is significant with Lopez not having practiced since early December. It's not clear what Lopez's timetable to return to action might be, but a full contact practice is a great first step. Mason Plumlee has been thriving of late without Lopez, but Bro-Lo will send Plums back to the bench when he returns.
Dec 22 - 12:57 PM

James Harden (hamstring) and Dwight Howard (shoulder) are both probable to play on Monday against the Blazers.

Although both are dealing with a nagging concern, the two stars will be out there in a big game against Portland. Harden said he planned to play, so the probable designation is just a formality. Harden and Howard's owners can feel good about putting them in the lineup.
