David Lee (sprained ankle) scored 12 points with 11 rebounds, six assists and five turnovers in his return to action vs. the Clippers.

He shot just 5-of-16 from the field and struggled to corral Blake Griffin, but he's not alone in that department. With 39 minutes of action today, and no signs of a setback, D-Lee belongs in all active fantasy lineups.

Kevin Love grabbed 16 rebounds against the Bulls on Friday during an overtime 114-108 win to go with 16 points, one assist, four steals and one 3-pointer on 5-of-17 shooting.

The rebounds are coming in bunches and he's never really been much of a big offensive rebounder anyway, so setting up further from the basket shouldn't hurt his overall output there. Love was actually much better than this stat line suggests, which is a great sign after a slow preseason.
Oct 31 - 11:30 PM

Tristan Thompson had a whopping 12 offensive boards against the Bulls on Friday, adding one defensive rebound, two assists, two blocks and 16 points.

The offensive rebounds were a huge story here and Thompson was so great that he played power forward, unlike Thursday night. He still isn't going to do too much on defense, so fantasy owners shouldn't be too eager to grab him while Anderson Varejao is healthy. From the fun stat department: The last player to have 12 offensive boards and one defensive board was Zydrunas Ilgauskas in 2005.
Oct 31 - 11:27 PM

Derrick Rose said his ankle injury was "minor" after Friday's game against the Cavs.

"I'm walking around so I think everyone can breathe," said Rose. Add this to your list of concerns but don't be overly concerned about it, as it comes with the territory of owning him.
Oct 31 - 11:19 PM

LeBron James put the Bulls away in Friday's 114-108 overtime win, making 14-of-30 from the field for 36 points with eight rebounds, four assists, four steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 42 minutes.

The shot volume was extremely high and coach Tom Thibodeau has been able to keep LeBron in check for much of his career. LeBron shot just 39.2 percent against the Bulls last season, which is by far his lowest against any team last season. Despite two somewhat sub-par offensive games, there is still zero reason to worry.
Oct 31 - 11:18 PM

K.J. McDaniels scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound and zero steals or blocks before leaving Friday's game due to a hip injury after 14 minutes.

We'll pass along details as they come but for now it doesn't sound like it's serious. If you drafted McDaniels you probably should have been stashing him anyway, so try to hold on unless you're looking at a mid-round pickup or the news comes back bad.
Oct 31 - 11:15 PM

Mike Dunleavy flirted with a triple-double against the Cavs on Friday with 14 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Hello, Dun-Dun. This is one of the best fantasy lines of the season and Dunleavy bounced back beautifully from his Wednesday dud. He's obviously not going to be this good, but if you hate the guy on the end of your bench and want to ride Dunleavy until Jimmy Butler (thumb) gets back, that works.
Oct 31 - 11:07 PM

Derrick Rose suffered an ankle sprain on Friday and did not return, finishing with 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

X-rays were negative and he was able to play through it before heading to the locker room several minutes later. Rose is likely going to be handled with kid gloves, so he's extremely questionable for Saturday against the Wolves. Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks get an uptick in fantasy value.
Oct 31 - 10:51 PM

Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday that the Wolves and Ricky Rubio have come to an agreement on a four-year, $55 million extension.

If there are any new interesting details we'll pass them along but this makes sense for the Wolves and it really makes sense for Rubio, since there is some doubt as to whether or not he can be a difference-maker at a competitive position in the NBA. Still, he's shown enough to be worth this type of risk, as the addition of a jump shot would make him deadly on the offensive end.
Oct 31 - 8:46 PM

Reggie Jackson (ankle) has progressed from his ankle injury and will make his season debut on Saturday against the Nuggets barring a setback.

It's about time the Thunder received some good news. Jackson is easily OKC's best offensive player right now and he put up a robust 32.6 usage rate last season while Kevin Durant (foot) and Russell Westbrook (hand) were on the bench. He shouldn't be on a single waiver wire right now and is a must-start player. If you added Sebastian Telfair, you might want to look elsewhere.
Oct 31 - 8:41 PM

Courtney Lee has been diagnosed with a mild concussion and he will not return on Friday.

He was playing extremely well and had 12 points in the first half before the injury. It's actually encouraging to hear that it's just a mild concussion because he looked awfully woozy. Tayshaun Prince started the second half in Lee's place and there really is no fantasy pickup here.
Oct 31 - 8:27 PM

Jimmy Butler (thumb) has been ruled out for Friday night against the Cavs.

He's officially inactive and will miss his second game of the season. The Bulls fared pretty well without him and Mike Dunleavy should help on the wing. Kirk Hinrich will also start at shooting guard, which makes Aaron Brooks the backup point guard. Fantasy owners should keep Butler stashed.
