Chris Paul (knee) is not expected to play on Thursday.

Eric Bledsoe will draw another start if CP3 sits, and the Kentucky product is averaging 11.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31 minutes. Although he's shooting just 38.6 percent in that role, Bledsoe's versatility lends itself well to fantasy owners looking for a spark. He's a must-start player while CP3 is on the shelf.

Nick Calathes will start at point guard against the Blazers on Monday.

Beno Udrih arrived in a walking boot to the arena, so he's not at 100 percent. Based on that information, it's hard to like either guy with so much uncertainty. The two might split the minutes down the middle, but it could go either way depending on Udrih's ankle.
Apr 27 - 10:17 PM

Michael Carter-Williams rolled his ankle in the third quarter on Monday and will return to action.

He hobbled back to the locker room under his own power. Carter-Williams might be at less than 100 percent, but he'll do his best to keep the Bucks in it.
Apr 27 - 9:36 PM

J.R. Smith has been suspended for two games for his shot to Jae Crowder's face on Sunday.

He won't play in Game 1 or 2 in the second round. Considering his history, the suspension could have been a lot worse for Smith and at least the Cavs will have him back when they go on the road for Game 3. The Cavs are also not going to have Kevin Love (shoulder), so expect more from Iman Shumpert, Tristan Thompson, James Jones and Matthew Dellavedova. Thompson and Shumpert are the two most attractive fantasy options.
Apr 27 - 7:02 PM

Kevin Love (shoulder) will not be able to play in the second round of the playoffs.

The team is calling it "an acute anterior inferior glenohumeral dislocation with the corresponding ligament/labrum tearing and humeral head bone bruising." In simpler terms, he suffered damage to several parts of his shoulder and has tearing, so he is likely out beyond the second round, as well. Love is undergoing treatment while other opinions are being considered. For now, there will be a combination of Tristan Thompson, James Jones and Iman Shumpert getting more run. The Cavs also used LeBron James at the four a lot on Sunday.
Apr 27 - 6:04 PM

Deron Williams (knee) will start against the Hawks in Game 4 on Monday.

He also suffered a bruised tailbone and is coming off a horrific game from Saturday. Williams might have a short leash today, so he could play anywhere from 18-28 minutes. If he struggles, expect Jarrett Jack to also get more run at the point. Bojan Bogdanovic would also get more playing time.
Apr 27 - 5:19 PM

Blake Griffin is dealing with a right shoulder stinger and will play in Game 5 on Tuesday.

This is the first we've heard of the injury and it sounds minor. Griffin logged 43 minutes on Sunday with 20 points and 19 boards. He's also posting terrific averages of 22.3 points, 13.3 boards, 7.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in the first round.
Apr 27 - 4:37 PM

Mike Conley (eye) is out of surgery, but there is no timetable for his return.

Conley had a "successful surgery" and is recovering well, but he remains out for at least Game 4 and possibly longer than that. Beno Udrih (ankle) is expected to play after sitting out Game 3, so that means he and Nick Calathes should split point guard duties in Conley's absence.
Apr 27 - 1:24 PM

Kyle Lowry failed to endorse Dwane Casey as Raptors head coach on Monday.

It sure sounds like Lowry is throwing his coach under the bus. "There is a few things internally that probably need to be fixed," Lowry said. And when asked for his opinion about Casey, Lowry said, "I respect Casey as a man." Casey is skating on thin ice, and his meeting with GM Masai Ujiri promises to be an uncomfortable one.
Apr 27 - 12:07 PM

Jae Crowder (knee) has been diagnosed with an ACL sprain and bone bruise, and he's expected to avoid surgery.

This is fantastic news for Crowder ahead of his restricted free agency, and it's a nice development after Crowder was maliciously taken out of the game by J.R. Smith. Crowder will need rest and rehab in order to recover, and he will have a ton of suitors on the open market after breaking out in a big way with the Celtics. For what it's worth, Boston GM Danny Ainge has said repeatedly that the team wants to re-sign No. 99. He's quickly turned into a fan favorite, as well.
Apr 27 - 11:52 AM

In his defense of Deron Williams, Lionel Hollins said that his starting point guard is no longer the player he once was.

No player is the way he was four years ago." Williams has become a punching bag for the Nets since his tenure in Brooklyn began, and Hollins said it's become "totally unfair." Williams has made 2-of-15 shots over his last two games for a combined five points, but he has averaged 8.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.0 steals during that same stretch. He's expected to be able to play in Game 4 and going forward, but D-Will's effectiveness remains in question.
Apr 27 - 10:30 AM

David Lee is expected to return for the second round of the playoffs.

"It's a team that plays big and that we're going to need every big on the roster ready to go, myself included," Lee said. Lee was actually available for Game 4 on an emergency basis, but now he's good to go in any capacity. The team's highest-paid player will continue to play a support role as the rest of the club has taken off without him.
