Luol Deng (hamstring) will not play against the Warriors on Friday.

Jimmy Butler will start again and he's done a great job filling in with major minutes and often guarding the opponent's best scorer. Deng hopes to play on Saturday and his owners will want to look for an update. He didn't undergo an MRI, so missing this much time is a mild surprise.

DeAndre Jordan grabbed 22 boards against the Grizzlies during an impressive 97-79 win on Friday, adding 15 points with three assists, two steals and three blocks.

It was the third time he had a game with at least 15 points, 20 boards and three blocks this season -- the rest of the NBA has three of those games combined (Andre Drummond twice and Nikola Vucevic). Jordan has been a rebounding machine in his last seven, averaging 19.7 boards, 18.4 points, 1.6 steals and 2.1 blocks. It's also worth mentioning he hasn't missed a game since the 2010-11 season.

Isaiah Thomas scored 28 points on 9-of-22 shooting (2-of-8 3PTs, 8-of-10 FTs) with one rebound, seven assists and one steal in the Celtics' 106-98 win over the Hornets on Friday.

Thomas has been a top-25 player in four games for the Celtics (top-60 in 9-cat), averaging 22.3 points in 27.7 mpg with 2.5 treys, 3.3 boards, 6.0 assists, 1.0 steals and a devastating 88.6 percent from the line on 8.8 attempts per game. He's hitting just 39.3 percent of his shots during that small sample and his playing time should continue to rise. Meanwhile the Celtics look like a transformed team and a fun potential No. 8 seed if they can keep it up.
Feb 28 - 1:51 AM

Russell Westbrook suffered an injury to his face on Friday against the Blazers, posting a triple-double for the third consecutive game with 40 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and six turnovers on 14-of-32 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line.

Believe it or not, it looked like Westbrook had a penny-sized dent on the side of his face. He did not speak to the media and it's also possible he is dealing with concussion-like symptoms due to Andre Roberson kneeing him in the head. If Westy needs to miss time, it would be a massive loss for the NBA and especially the Thunder. D.J. Augustin would start and become a must-own player while Dion Waiters would also have to score more.
Feb 28 - 1:41 AM

Draymond Green was everywhere against the Raptors in 28 minutes during a 113-89 win on Friday with 17 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers.

He made 6-of-9 from the field, hit both free throws and didn't turn the ball over for a nine-category line. Green is putting up elite value on the season, averaging 11.2 points, 8.1 boards 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 treys.
Feb 28 - 1:29 AM

Mo Williams hit 9-of-23 shots (including six threes) for 31 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal over 37 minutes on Friday against the Celtics.

Williams has been a bountiful add not once but twice this season. Even when Kemba Walker in mid-March there should be enough food at the table for him to eat in Charlotte.
Feb 28 - 12:49 AM

Andrea Bargnani turned back the clock against the Pistons on Friday with 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

He is clearly the first option for the Knicks on offense right now. Bargnani had a 26.9 usage rate tonight, which is a shade above his season 25.3 usage rate. Il Mago started tonight and is almost certainly going to stick. He is a tremendous injury risk and this big line tonight is unlikely to happen again, but he's worth a look in standard leagues. It's hard to believe for a guy who was possibly going to be cut. Take that, Masai Ujiri.
Feb 28 - 12:36 AM

George Hill logged the first triple-double of his career on Friday during a 93-86 win over the Cavs with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, one block, two steals and two turnovers.

Since Monday, there has been a triple-double every night this week. Hill has really stepped up with 7.0 assists per game in his last five, adding averages of 12.8 points, 4.2 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.4 treys. He's not shooting the ball well, but he is a must-start player right now. Plus, it's great to see his groin injury is behind him.
Feb 28 - 12:06 AM

Russell Westbrook (ankle) is ready to go against the Blazers on Friday.

Even though the Thunder lost, Westbrook was ridiculous on Thursday. He actually put up a 63.4 usage rate in the fourth quarter. Amazingly, the Thunder are 8-0 on the second night of a back-to-back with a healthy Westy. Enjoy watching the game tonight, everyone.
Feb 27 - 9:10 PM

Enes Kanter (thigh contusion) will not play against the Blazers on Friday.

He must have suffered the injury against the Suns on Thursday and it's unclear if he'll need to miss more games. Nick Collison will get the start, but Mitch McGary is the most interesting player here. Kanter should see his numbers decrease with his new team.
Feb 27 - 9:08 PM

Taj Gibson went to the locker room on Friday with an ankle sprain and will not return.

He can't seem to shake these ankle sprains. Gibson was all set for a big night tonight and hopefully will return to action soon. If he doesn't it'll be Nikola Mirotic logging major playing time. Considering Miro's upside, he is well worth a speculative add in most leagues.
Feb 27 - 8:40 PM

Carl Landry will start next to Jason Thompson on Friday night against the Spurs.

In the George Karl era, these two guys have logged a grand total of four minutes next to each other, but they were great with an offensive rating of 154.2 in those four minutes. Landry is capable of putting up numbers and he might be worth a look in deep leagues. He's still not someone to trust on a 14-game night, obviously.
