As expected, Blake Griffin is set to play through his sprained ankle on Saturday night.

"He said he's feeling better and we'll monitor him out there," coach Vinny Del Negro said. Great news for Griffin's owners, while Chris Paul will miss another game with his bum knee.

Paul George suffered a gruesome lower right leg injury while scrimmaging for Team USA on Friday.

The bone in George's leg appeared to suffer a compound fracture but there have been no official reports about his status. We'll pass along details as they become available and our thoughts go out to George and his family. Larry Bird issued a statement saying the matter would be addressed on Saturday.

Hawks sign forward Mike Scott to a three-year, $10 million deal on Friday.

The third year is a team option and this solidifies the bench behind Paul Millsap and Al Horford. Barring an injury in front of him, Scott isn't going to have much fantasy value.

Dwyane Wade indicated in a recent interview that he plans to play in 75-plus games next season.

Wade may be shooting for 75-plus games, but his knees may have a different plan in store. Wade sat out 28 games last season, with 13 of those DNP's due to rest. He didn't look capable of carrying a team during the 2014 Finals as he shot just a combined 7-of-25 from the floor during the final two games of the series. Players that rely on their explosive athleticism in favor of a solid jumper typically have a quicker fall from grace than the latter, but it's too early to declare Wade as washed up. A bounce-back year isn't out of the question, especially with the larger offensive role he'll need to take on, but he will be a very risky pick come draft day and we wouldn't recommend taking him in the early rounds.

The Spurs announced on Friday that Tony Parker signed a multi-year extension.

The deal is reportedly in the ballpark of three-years, and $45 million. It feels like he's been in the NBA forever, but the 32-year-old guard still has a couple years left in his prime. Last season, he averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds. He'll be a PG2 in fantasy leagues due to the fear of coach Gregg Popovich possibly resting his star point guard.

Mason Plumlee is likely to make the Team USA roster over DeMarcus Cousins.

Well, file this under shocking developments, and maybe Coach K likes his guy a little too much. Cousins was one of the best players in the paint last season while Plumlee couldn't really get his own shot in his rookie year. He is dealing with a quad injury, but he was still able to practice, and he caught an alley-oop from Kyrie Irving in scrimmage. The Kings center is worth a look at the end of the first round of standard leagues this season.

Kevin Love joining the Cavaliers appears to be imminent, according to ESPN.

We still don't know exactly what the Cavs will give to acquire Love, but the fact that sources are calling a trade a "when, not if" situation points to Love joining the Cavs at some point. Cleveland appears to be the only team the Wolves are talking to about a Love trade, and chances are that Andrew Wiggins is involved, along with Anthony Bennett. But regardless of what names are involved in a potential trade, it does sound like the Cavs will have Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love on the court together at some point this season. If a deal does go down, it's not likely to happen officially until 30 days have passed from the day Wiggins was signed by the Cavs (July 24).

The Raptors signed Will Cherry to a two-year deal.

It's at the minimum and for the second year in a row the Raptors sign a point guard who impressed at summer league. They already waived Dwight Buycks earlier this month, so Cherry essentially takes his place and could fall on the depth chart as the third point guard. He performed very well at summer league, averaging 12.8 points, 4.0 boards, 3.0 assists and 0.2 steals on 52.1 percent from the field.

The Lakers worked out unrestricted free agent Michael Beasley on Wednesday.

Beasley's agent said some teams have interest in his client, so he wasn't bluffing. The Lakers would be a good spot for Beasley due to their lack of depth at small forward, but he certainly wouldn't be a lock to make the rotation. Additionally, the Lakers would have a handful of characters on their team should they sign Beasley.

Kevin Durant is from the Washington, D.C. area and addressed rumors about him playing for the Wizards when his contract is up in two years.

Durant gave the standard "I play for the Thunder and have not thought that far ahead" answer to begin with, but also addressed the situation head on. "I'm going to do what's best for me," Durant said. "That whole city is a part of me. It's in my blood. I love going back home, seeing my family and playing there, but I love Oklahoma City, too." Durant went on to say that "everybody's" asked him about a return to D.C., adding "I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm naïve to the fact that people think about that stuff." But the bottom line is that this decision is a couple years away and it will likely depend on the state of the Thunder, the Wizards and other teams when it's time for him to decide. But it does sound like there's a very real chance Durant could make a run for the Wizards two years from now.

Anthony Bennett was pulled from a Pro-Am tournament in Canada on Tuesday, but is not injured.

His agent reportedly made the move, which should sufficiently throw the 'Kevin Love to Cavs' rumors in full gear. It makes sense, as Bennett's name has been included in potential deals for the Cavs to get Love since day one, although it's clearly speculation that something is in the works. Having said that, it's hard to think of another reason Bennett's agent would make such a move, so let the speculation begin.

The Suns' relationship with restricted FA Eric Bledsoe is "on the verge of [being] irreparable," according to Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com.

Bledsoe said last week that the Suns were using the rules of restricted free agency against him by scaring off other teams and lowering his market value. Bledsoe wants a max five-year contract but the Suns haven't offered him more than $48 million over four years, and their ability to match any offer sheet has dissuaded other teams from tying up their finances with a lucrative offer sheet. This may still have a happy ending, and ultimately the Suns can keep him whether or not he wants to stay in Phoenix.
