Mike Conley suffered a sprained left ankle in Sunday's game against the Hornets and he will not return.

Conley was bringing the ball up in transition and suffered the sprain while trying to put on a move. He tried to battle through it, but he tapped out and went to the locker room. The Grizzlies travel to Philadelphia to play the Sixers on Monday and there's a decent chance Conley might have to sit that one out. Jerryd Bayless should take over most of the duties at point guard with Tony Wroten also in line for more action.

Pau Gasol (left hand) is undergoing surgery to repair the fracture of his fourth metacarpal.

Typically, a metacarpal fracture surgery will require 4-6 weeks out of action. Gasol suffered this injury in warmups and now his fantasy owners will have to figure out whether or not he's worth a stash. Considering how the Spurs are likely to rest him even more upon his return, he certainly is a cut candidate for those that need stats for the next month. With him out, it figures to be mostly David Lee picking up the minutes, but Dewayne Dedmon's blocking upside makes him interesting in standard leagues. We should see more Davis Bertans, as well.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Jusuf Nurkic is "sure" to be traded prior to the February trade deadline.

Per Stein: "Sources say that the Nuggets, having acknowledged that Nikola Jokic and Nurkic didn't click as a pairing, are actively working to find Nurkic a new home that would give him the chance he deserves to be a front-line center." A trade is necessary to revive Nurkic's dying fantasy value. With Jokic playing at an incredibly high level, Nurk simply wastes away on the Denver bench. A trade would be best for all parties involved. It would also clear out more minutes for Kenneth Faried.

Avery Bradley (Achilles) will not play Saturday vs. Portland.

According to coach Brad Stevens: "The Achilles is structurally fine, but he has a lot of soreness around it." This will be the second straight game Bradley has missed, and the sixth in the last seven. Returning for Monday's game earlier this week has led to the setback. "Maybe he came back too soon," Stevens said on Wednesday. After Saturday, Boston's next game is Tuesday at Washington. Marcus Smart will likely remain the starter in place of Bradley. Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown will see an additional minutes as well.

Ryan Anderson (illness) participated in shootaround but remains listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Warriors.

Anderson has missed each of the Rockets last two games and was limited in the two games prior as he battled the flu bug. He planned to get intravenous fluids before leaving Toyota Center. "Not feeling so great. Just a stomach virus that's been going around," Anderson said. "It's still kind of there, but I'm going to get an IV after this and try to do it for the game. It's just draining." Anderson is expected to slide back into the starting lineup, assuming he is healthy enough to suit up. Corey Brewer has started at small forward with Anderson out.

Raymond Felton scored 10 points with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals on Thursday night against the Timberwolves.

Felton got the start for the injured Chris Paul (hand) tonight and played 34 minutes. Although he scored just 10 points, he did contribute in dimes and steals. He should be owned in all formats during Paul’s absence, but will hurt you in field goal percentage some nights.

Kawhi Leonard was on fire yet again during a 118-104 win over the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring 34 points with five rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

He earned an All-Star starting spot today, which was fairly obvious. Leonard has scored at least 30 points for five consecutive games, which has only been done by two other Spurs ever (George Gervin and Mike Mitchell). Coach Gregg Popovich had a very typical answer about Kawhi's play after the game. "Kawhi Leonard was super, but he's getting paid to be super," Pop said. Leonard is going to be super for a long time.

David Lee grabbed a season-high 16 boards in a start for Pau Gasol (hand) on Thursday against the Nuggets, adding 10 points, two assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.

When he's in shape and is playing motivated, he has a similar skill set to Gasol right now. Coach Gregg Popovich said Lee was "fantastic" in this game, which isn't too surprising based on his previous starts. In those previous three, Lee averaged 8.7 points, 9.3 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks in 27.0 minutes. He should have some low-end value while Gasol is out for the next month or so, so he's worth a look in standard leagues for anyone needing a big man for points, boards and percentages.
Jan 20 - 12:10 AM

Ricky Rubio didn't play in the second half of Thursday's game against the Clippers with tightness in his hip and Kris Dunn started the third quarter in his place.

Rubio finished with zero points on 0-for-3 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 17 minutes. The injury doesn't sound terribly serious, but owners will obviously want to watch for news on Rubio going forward. This is a potentially tough break, as he was playing very well over the last couple weeks, and Dunn and Tyus Jones would benefit if he's going to miss time.

Dejounte Murray had easily his best NBA game of his career in a start for Tony Parker (foot) on Thursday, scoring a career-high 24 points on 7-of-11 from the field with two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Wow. Murray had no jumper in his time at Washington, making just 34.0 percent of his twos and 28.8 percent of his threes. He also had some horrendous turnover woes, so the one turnover in all that playing time is almost as impressive as the scoring. Clearly, things are working out nicely for the rookie and the Spurs clearly trust him as their No. 3 point guard. This game is a huge fluke, but keep him in mind if Tony Parker (foot) misses games again. Parker is likely to play on Saturday against the Cavs.
Jan 19 - 11:47 PM

Nikola Jokic erupted for a career-high 35 points during a 118-104 loss to the Spurs on Thursday, adding 12 rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers.

He went bonkers in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 straight points for the Nuggets to keep them in this game. As you might expect, coach Mike Malone had some nice things to say after the game. "Whether it's playmaking, scoring, rebounding, he's a terrific young talent who's only getting better before our eyes," Malone said. Jokic became the first Nugget with three straight games of at least 25 points and 10 boards since Carmelo Anthony. In those three games, Jokic averaged 31.3 points, 12.7 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 treys on 61.9 percent from the field. He's been a top-five player in his last 10 games.
Jan 19 - 11:41 PM

John Wall scored 29 points in a 113-110 win at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, adding five rebounds, 13 assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Revenge game for not making the All-Star starters? Whatever the case, Wall's Wizards are the hottest team in the East with their four-game winning streak -- nobody else has more than two straight wins. Not surprisingly, Wall has crushed in those four games, averaging 25.8 points, 4.5 boards, 10.0 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.8 treys. He'll obviously be an All-Star reverse and has first-round value in standard leagues.
