An MRI on JaVale McGee's left tibia revealed no stress fracture.

McGee is officially listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Rockets. Even if he does play, he'll be a shaky fantasy start at less than 100 percent. McGee is averaging just 17.7 minutes per game over his last 13 outings.

Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is "out a while" due to his ankle sprain, according to coach Brian Shaw.

There is no timetable, but the sense is that he's going to need at least a week or maybe even a month to get over this injury. Nurkic was posting some elite value and could have been a top-50 player the rest of the way, so his owners will have to weigh their options on keeping him. While he's out, Joffrey Lauvergne seems to be benefitting most, but he's only worth a look in deep leagues.

Nick Young (knee) will not play against the Thunder on Sunday.

He is still dealing with swelling in his knee and the fact that the Lakers ruled him out a day before the game suggests he could miss Tuesday against the Hornets. Wayne Ellngton had a great second half on Friday while Jeremy Lin is finally starting to put some good games together, averaging 16.3 points, 2.0 boards, 4.3 assists and 0.8 treys in his last four. Young can be left on the wire in most leagues.
Feb 28 - 3:36 PM

Andrew Bogut could be rested on Sunday against the Celtics.

Coach Steve Kerr said it comes down to whether or not Festus Ezeli is suspended. If Ezeli doesn't get a suspension for his altercation with Tyler Hansbrough on Friday, Bogut will likely sit. If Bogut does miss that game, Marreese Speights and David Lee will benefit most.

Derrick Rose (knee) started his rehab on Saturday.

His surgery wasn't nearly as severe as last time, so he's obviously not going to need five months like he did back in the 2013-14 season to allow his torn meniscus to heal. For what it's worth, Metta World Peace needed less than two weeks to return from a torn meniscus earlier in his career, so Rose's 4-6 week timetable is doable. Still, he's not worth owning because the Bulls will likely take it easy on him until the playoffs. Aaron Brooks has been a letdown, but he's still worth a look in standard leagues.
Feb 28 - 2:24 PM

Pau Gasol (illness) is ready to play against the Clippers on Sunday.

He missed Friday due to an illness, but he should be right back up there with his normal playing time. The Bulls used a combination of Nazr Mohammad and a lot of small-ball lineups on Friday, so there wasn't a great pickup after Taj Gibson (ankle) went down. Gasol owners should have him back in their lineups.
Feb 28 - 2:20 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is doubtful to play against the Clippers on Sunday.

He had a limp leaving the arena on Friday night and he's also been dealing with his left ankle issues fro much of this season. The last time he had ankle problems, Gibson needed to miss four games, but of course every injury is different. The Bulls moved Nikola Mirotic back to power forward, which actually led to some bigger production out of Mike Dunleavy. Considering the upside, Mirotic is worth a look in standard leagues.
Feb 28 - 2:13 PM

Kelly Olynyk made it through most of practice on Saturday, and while he did say his ankle is feeling better, he wasn't ready to commit to returning to action just yet.

He remains questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Warriors, but head coach Brad Stevens said he would not be surprised if Olynyk was available to play. Olynyk should be stashed in most leagues considering Jared Sullinger (foot) is out for the season, while Brandon Bass, Tyler Zeller and Jonas Jerebko will all see their playing time take a hit when Olynyk does return.

Dwight Howard (knee) has not yet progressed to on-court activities, and he is still limited to swimming, weight lifting and running on a weight-controlled treadmill.

He has been sidelined since Jan. 25 due to his ailing knee, and this report suggests that he still has a long way to go in his recovery. He is scheduled to have several MRI's in the coming week, so we should be able to provide an additional update on his timetable soon. With fantasy playoffs just around the corner, Howard's owners may need to evaluate their options. Terrence Jones has been on fire for the Rockets, and he will continue to be the primary beneficiary for the foreseeable future. Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith are locked into larger roles as well.
Feb 28 - 12:53 PM

Kyrie Irving (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Rockets.

An MRI taken on his shoulder reportedly came back clean, and he is said to be dealing with a minor strain. We will know more on his status after shootaround Sunday morning, so his owners will want to be on alert for an update. If Kyrie sits, Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova will see increased minutes in the backcourt.
Feb 28 - 12:34 PM

Tyson Chandler (hip) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Nets according to head coach Rick Carlisle.

Chandler wasn't able to play on Wednesday vs. the Hawks, but the good news was that he made it through a full practice on Friday. His owners will have to check back prior to tip-off before activating him in lineups, but he would still be a must-start option even if he is not 100 percent. Bernard James scored seven points with 11 rebounds and two blocks against the Hawks, and he would be the primary beneficiary if Chandler sits this one out.
Feb 28 - 12:01 PM

Head coach Randy Wittman left open the possibility of Bradley Beal (leg) playing on Saturday against the Pistons.

Normally Beal would be required to make it through a full practice before returning, but coach Wittman said that it was not mandatory in order for Beal to play. "We’ll see in these next couple days," Wittman said before Friday's game against the 76ers. "He’s been going through simulations with all our players. All the hard running and stuff that needs to be done and then you check to make sure there’s no lingering effect the next day." We should know more on Beal's status closer to tip-off, so owners will want to check back for an update. Garrett Temple, Rasual Butler and Otto Porter will continue to see increased roles if Beal remains sidelined.
