JaVale McGee (shin) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Starter Kosta Koufos played 36 minutes in the Nuggets last game, totaling nine points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in extended action. He's a solid option again vs. the Rockets for those in need of a big man with McGee sidelined.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that Marvin Williams played through an elbow injury during the series against the Heat.

That explains a lot. Williams scored just five points on 1-of-3 shooting in Sunday's Game 7 loss with five rebounds in 33 minutes, and he was averaging just 5.2 points on 27.1 percent shooting in the previous six games. Williams deserves a pass for playing through the injury, but it would've been nice to get a heads up from the Hornets a lot earlier. Regardless, Williams was one of the most improved players in the NBA this season and could get a significant raise when he hits free agency this summer.
May 1 - 3:54 PM

Kemba Walker scored just nine points on 3-of-16 shooting in Sunday's 106-73 loss to the Heat in Game 7, adding six assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer.

His nine points were the second fewest in a Game 7 by a player who averaged 25 points per game in the first six games of a series. As bad as Walker was on Sunday, he had a breakout campaign with averages of 20.9 points, 5.2 assists, 4.4 boards, 1.6 steals and 2.2 3-pointers during the regular season, returning top-20 value in standard 9-cat leagues. The 25-year-old guard will be a solid early-round pick in fantasy drafts next season.
May 1 - 3:47 PM

Goran Dragic scored 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting to lead the Heat to a 106-73 win over the Hornets in Game 7 on Sunday.

The Dragon had a quiet series prior to Sunday with modest averages of 12.3 points, 4.3 boards, 4.3 assists, and 0.8 steals, but he picked the perfect moment to erupt. Dragic was arguably the best player on the court today, adding six rebounds, four assists and one block in 32 minutes. The Heat will now move on to face the winner of Sunday's Game 7 between the Raptors and Pacers.
May 1 - 3:23 PM

Nicolas Batum (foot) started the second half in place of Frank Kaminsky on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Batum was only supposed to play seven or eight minutes in each half according to coach Steve Clifford before the game, but he's already up to 16 minutes at the half. He isn't close to 100 percent and he's not moving that well either, but the Hornets have no choice but to play him if they want to escape Miami with a win.
May 1 - 2:22 PM

Stephen Curry (knee) has a "slim" chance to play in Game 2 vs. the Blazers on Tuesday.

He obviously won't play in Game 1 on Sunday, but Curry was able to do some stationary shooting on Saturday and coach Steve Kerr is open to the idea of allowing the MVP to start scrimmaging early next week. With Curry out on Sunday, Shaun Livingston will draw the start and Draymond Green will spend a lot of time running the offense. Andre Iguodala will have more responsibility as well.
May 1 - 1:54 PM

Nicolas Batum (foot) and Spencer Hawes (knee) are available to play on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that while Batum is feeling better, he's still not 100 percent and will likely be limited to just seven or eight minutes per half in Game 7. To be clear, Batum is too risky to deploy in most fantasy formats. We'll let you know how he holds up after the game.
May 1 - 12:35 PM

Josh Richardson (shoulder) will play in Game 7 vs. the Hornets on Sunday.

He cleared all tests and an MRI on Saturday came back negative, so he should be close to 100 percent. Richardson is averaging 7.0 points, 3.5 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 3-pointers in 30.5 minutes per game in this series.
May 1 - 11:25 AM

LaMarcus Aldridge put on a shooting clinic in a 124-92 win over the Thunder on Saturday, making 18-of-23 for 38 points with six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

It's his third-best scoring game of his playoff career. The Thunder completely forgot Aldridge led the NBA in mid-range makes in three of the last four seasons. He was wide open all game and also had a number of easy buckets near the rim, as well. LMA has been fantastic since January and had success against OKC this season, so he'll be dialed in as a high-end DFS play.
Apr 30 - 10:58 PM

Kawhi Leonard made 10-of-13 from the field for 25 points in 22 minutes against the Thunder during a Game 1 win on Saturday, adding five rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer.

He's won Defensive Player of the Year in the last two seasons, but Kawhi's offense was the story tonight. He made his first six shots from the field to help get him to 20 points in the first half. Kevin Durant simply couldn't guard him with his array of hesitation moves and he was awesome in transition. The Klaw will be dominating this series on both ends as a high-end DFS option.
Apr 30 - 10:56 PM

Danny Green caught fire in a win over the Thunder on Saturday, making 6-of-7 from the field for 18 points with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks and five 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

Where was this all season? Green's efficiency was an unbelievable 121.4 effective field goal percentage while playing some terrific defense on the other end during the easy win. Perhaps no player turned in more duds than Green in the regular season, so we'd like to see it again. Congrats to those who started him in DFS tonight.
Apr 30 - 10:56 PM

Russell Westbrook made 5-of-19 from the field for 14 points during a 124-92 loss to the Spurs on Saturday, adding two rebounds, nine assists, two steals and two turnovers.

Not a good start. The Spurs put Kawhi Leonard on Westbrook for most of this game and it totally took the Thunder offense out of rhythm. In fact, Westbrook was just 1-of-7 from the field against Kawhi in this game. He was also a disaster on defense during this game with OKC having a seemingly non-existent perimeter defense. Westbrook did have a good run against the Spurs during the season, but this is a terrible start with the Spurs approach to start the series. Leonard being on Westbrook is bad news for his DFS value as the most expensive player in most formats.
