John Salmons (illness) won't play Wednesday night against the Celtics.

Salmons tried to play Monday with the flu but ended up having to leave the game. The Kings play again Friday, so we'll just have to wait and see if he's feeling better then. Francisco Garcia and Marcus Thornton will likely pick up Salmons' minutes Wednesday night.

DeMar DeRozan exploded for a season-high 35 points against the 76ers during a 114-103 win, adding nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

It was against the 76ers, but DeRozan needed this one in a big way. He is coming off a putrid February, averaging 16.7 points, 4.2 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.2 treys on 33.9 percent from the field. With Kyle Lowry (finger) likely out for a couple, DeMar can start to get it going.
Mar 2 - 10:54 PM

Sideline reporter Jennifer Hale reported that Anthony Davis (shoulder) is close to returning to game action.

We're not quite sure where that puts him, just like an earlier report stating the Pelicans weren't going to rush him back was similarly vague. We're in the second week of his 1-2 week timetable and as long as there isn't a setback his return is essentially imminent.
Mar 2 - 10:44 PM

Nerlens Noel made all seven shots from the field for 17 points with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block against the Raptors on Monday.

His offensive game has been the story lately. Perhaps the highlight is making 83.3 percent of his 6.0 free throw attempts per game over his last five, averaging 13.4 points, 9.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.4 blocks, 1.2 steals and 2.6 turnovers on 48.8 percent from the field. He's one of the hottest properties in fantasy hoops right now.
Mar 2 - 10:19 PM

Jamal Crawford (calf) will not return on Monday.

He has a calf contusion, which means it's not a muscle strain. That's important to note because Crawford has a history of calf injuries. With Crawford out, Austin Rivers is really going to have to step up. He's only worth a look in deep leagues. Crawford finished with nine points, two boards and one 3-pointer.

Hassan Whiteside and Alex Len were ejected for wrestling on Monday night.

This game in Miami is one of the most emotional ones of the season. Whiteside tried to tackle Len and there's certainly a chance he gets hit with a suspension for this one. He finished with 17 points, 10 boards, two steals and two blocks in 26 minutes. He's a better basketball player than a tackler and his owners are going to be hoping for mercy from the NBA in hopes he doesn't get suspended.
Mar 2 - 9:46 PM

Markieff Morris was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul on Goran Dragic in the third quarter.

It was a hard foul in transition that sent Dragic to the floor hard, but Markieff's reputation might have hurt him here for the flagrant 2 call. Morris probably won't be suspended for this infraction, but he picked up another technical foul tonight and is a strong bet to be suspended for too many in one season. He finished with 13 points, five boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes. You can check out a video of the foul in the link below.
Mar 2 - 9:19 PM

Jordan Hamilton is expected to start for Matt Barnes on Monday.

He played two minutes on Sunday and he is very unlikely to play more than 20 minutes tonight. Hamilton had himself a nice run in the D-League this season, but he's not a fantasy option in almost any league.
Mar 2 - 7:57 PM

The Pelicans are not going to rush Anthony Davis (shoulder) back.

Coach Monty Williams said that Davis is getting closer, but it's not going to be tonight. Additionally, there has been no indication that he'll be back in the next 2-3 games, as well. Alexis Ajinca finally turned it on and is worth a look for short-term value.
Mar 2 - 7:16 PM

Kevin Martin (illness) and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play against the Clippers on Monday.

The Wolves will start Gorgui Dieng and Gary Neal. Coach Flip Saunders said that the flus is going around and their assistant coach won't be at the arena. Martin still isn't a must-start player now that he has one game on the sidelines this week. Neal is also a risky play. We should get a lot of Andrew Wiggins.
Mar 2 - 6:51 PM

Blake Griffin (elbow) could return against the Warriors on Sunday.

Sunday would be four weeks, so he is right on schedule with his timetable. The Clippers have played surprisingly well without Griffin due to Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan carrying them while their role players have stepped up. If you have Spencer Hawes, it's probably time to start planning for someone else to put on your roster.
Mar 2 - 6:49 PM

Goran Dragic (back) is going to start against the Suns on Monday.

If you're into revenge games, this might be your Super Bowl. Dragic should get minutes in the mid 30s tonight and is a must-start in standard leagues. He and Dwyane Wade haven't played too well together, but that's to be expected for two ball-dominant guys. Start the Dragon.
