Chauncey Billups (foot) is progressing, but he will not play on Friday.

It's not a huge surprise as Billups remains out with his injury. He's working toward coming back, but the Clippers have absolutely zero incentive to rush him at any point along the way in his recovery.

Eric Bledsoe hit 6-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 27 points, one rebound, two assists and two steals on Wednesday.

He also hit 12-of-14 free throws, and looked fantastic tonight. However, Goran Dragic stunk, finishing with four points on 2-of-8 shooting, and Isaiah Thomas played just 17 minutes off the bench. This three-headed guard in Phoenix isn't going away any time soon, and while all three players are going to be worth owning, they're also going to cause a different hot hand from night-to-night. It was Bledsoe's turn in this one, while Thomas was hot coming in. Goran, you're up.
Oct 23 - 1:35 AM

Jeremy Lin came off the bench again on Wednesday and had 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and a block on 5-of-9 shooting in 25 minutes.

We still don't know if Lin or Ronnie Price will start on opening night, but we're still listing Lin at No. 1 on the depth chart. Even if he comes off the bench, he should get the majority of minutes and is still the guy you'll want to target on draft night. We're hoping he's coming off the bench as a precaution for his tender ankle, but it sounds like Byron Scott is considering using Lin with the reserves. Stay tuned.
Oct 23 - 12:40 AM

Shabazz Muhammad had his best game as a pro on Wednesday against the Bucks during a 110-91 win, scoring 19 points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

He had just six assists in his 290 minutes last season and only 27 dimes in his 987 minutes at UCLA, so the dimes are the biggest surprise of all. Muhammad is going to be buried on the bench and will have a tough time getting minutes, so he can be ignored while the Wolves are healthy.
Oct 22 - 11:21 PM

Quincy Pondexter started at small forward and played 30 minutes on Wednesday, hitting 3-of-7 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.

He's battling with Tony Allen for the starting job and may have won it with this performance. Allen had five points and Vince Carter hit just 1-of-6 shots off the bench. If Pondexter is starting on opening night, he's going to be a popular deep-league pick up off the waiver wire. And if you're drafting this weekend, he is worth a look at the end of it.
Oct 22 - 11:10 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo missed all seven shots from the field in an otherwise stat-stuffing Wednesday game, adding one point at the line, five rebounds, three assists, four steals, three blocks and eight turnovers in 25 minutes.

The eight turnovers are brutal, but he really filled it up tonight. This is basically a microcosm of Antetokounmpo's outlook: Giannis can't shoot very well, is careless when handling the ball, but he has a serious shot to be a 1.5 triple, steal and block guy. If you want him, it'll probably cost you a pick in the 80-100 range.
Oct 22 - 10:55 PM

Carmelo Anthony hit the game-winning jumper and got the foul in Wednesday's 103-100 win over the Wizards, scoring 30 points with three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He made 11-of-19 from the field and all six shots from the field. Only two of his shots came from within 13 feet and the mid-rangers were dropping. Anthony's shot totals were down, but he's attempted 20.5 per game in his last two. Even if his style does change, he still should fill up the stat sheet enough to warrant a selection at the end of the first round.
Oct 22 - 10:26 PM

John Wall was cooking against the Knicks on Wednesday, making 10-of-16 from the field for 29 points with one rebound, seven assists, four steals and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

He was struggling mightily before this gem, making just 28.2 percent from the field in his previous four games. Wall's jumper made some nice strides last season and he should only get better in his age-24 season. Fantasy owners should target him in the late first round.
Oct 22 - 10:12 PM

Jared Sullinger was at it again on Wednesday, knocking down 7-of-10 shots and another 3-pointer for 15 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and a block against the Nets.

In his last five games, which include a four-point dud last Wednesday, he's averaging 15.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 0.2 blocks and 2.2 3-pointers on 57 percent shooting. He's the starting PF in Boston and while his preseason has been dreamy, owners should set realistic expectations. He'll have games like these, probably often, but it's hard to see him playing this well throughout the season. With all the late hype, he was taken with the 89th pick in one of Dr. A's drafts on Tuesday night. That seems a little high, but if you really want him, beware that readers of Rotoworld are likely going to be ready to pounce around the 80th pick or so.
Oct 22 - 10:07 PM

Otto Porter kept his momentum going against the Knicks in his 31 minutes in the starting lineup on Wednesday, scoring 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field with two rebounds, one assist, three steals and four 3-pointers.

He is absolutely rolling right now. Over his last five games, Porter averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 triples on 51.9 percent from the field. If he can consistently make triples, Porter could really be in for a fantastic sophomore season. He's on the radar in standard leagues and should start off strong while Bradley Beal (wrist) is on the shelf.
Oct 22 - 10:06 PM

Terrence Jones went to the locker room on Wednesday due to an apparent neck issue and did not return.

It doesn't sound serious, but we'll keep an eye on it. Jones went off before leaving the game, scoring nine points with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, four blocks and one 3-pointer. He'll be a key part of the frontcourt rotation and last year's post-break run makes him a terrific target in the middle rounds.
Oct 22 - 9:24 PM

Jordan Clarkson (calf) will return to the lineup on Wednesday.

He's likely going to play more minutes at shooting guard tonight, but he made it clear he's capable of being a combo guard. Clarkson has been one of the most impressive second-round picks of the 2014 draft and could have an impact with a couple injuries to the backcourt. He's only on the fantasy map in extremely deep leagues.
