Joakim Noah (foot) said he will not play in Friday's game against the Nets.

Per ESPN Chicago, Noah is suffering from "recurring problems with plantar fasciitis." It's among the two worst words owners can hear. During the 2010-11 season, Noah missed more than two full months due to the injury. He says he's sitting out now as a precaution so the issue doesn't get worse, but owners need to stay on top of this. Adding Taj Gibson as insurance is a strong play.

Kevin Martin (wrist) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Martin was listed as questionable earlier, but he is still dealing with some swelling in his wrist, so he will not play on Sunday. Robbie Hummel will draw another start on Sunday, but the true beneficiaries of Martin's absence remain Andrew Wiggins and Mo Williams.

C.J. Miles (left groin strain) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Magic.

With Miles unavailable, Rodney Stuckey will likely slide back into the starting lineup. Stuckey is averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists as a starter, and he figures to be a low-end option in daily leagues. C.J. Watson will also likely see some extended minutes.
Jan 25 - 4:46 PM

Ryan Anderson (bilateral ankle inflammation) is expected to play Sunday vs. Dallas.

Anderson was forced to sit during the Pelicans' last game, but it appears his ankle injury will only cause him to spend one game on the sidelines. Anderson's return to the lineup will hurt the value of Dante Cunningham, Quincy Pondexter, and Alixis Ajinca.
Jan 25 - 4:30 PM

Aaron Gordon will enter the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. Indiana, sending Devyn Marble to the bench.

It was really only a matter of time until Marble was sent to the bench, as he's simply not a starting-caliber guy in the league. Gordon will draw his first career-start tonight, but with a tough matchup against the Pacers, he's not a great option in daily leagues.

Kemba Walker is reportedly being advised by Charlotte management to undergo surgery due to the fact that he is dealing with an injury to his meniscus.

Walker is set to undergo an MRI on Monday, after which we will know more about his status. It's not yet known whether he is dealing with a separate tear, or if it's the same cyst that he's been dealing with since high school. If the surgery is done for a cyst he would be looking at around six weeks on the sidelines, but a separate tear would likely be the end of Walker’s season. Stay tuned.

Hassan Whiteside put up a magnificent triple-double on Sunday, racking up 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 blocks over just 26.6 minutes of action.

The 12 blocks were not only an NBA season-high, but also a single-game franchise setting record in Miami. When speaking after the game, Whiteside joked: "I’m just trying to get my NBA2K rating up." While that will likely go up, his ownership in fantasy leagues is also due for a huge increase (currently 48 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues) so make sure he's not sitting on your waiver wire.
Jan 25 - 3:32 PM

When head coach Kevin McHale was asked about Terrence Jones' availability for Wednesday's game vs. Dallas, he did not rule Jones out and said that he will return "sooner rather than later."

McHale added that Jones could return "within a week," and it appears he is getting very close to playing basketball again. However, he will be fighting for minutes with Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith, so it will be very difficult for him to produce the same way he was at the beginning of the season. Still, he's worth a look in deeper leagues.
Jan 25 - 3:19 PM

With news coming out that Brandon Jennings will miss the remainder of the season with an Achilles injury, D.J. Augustin is set to become the starting point guard in Detroit.

Augustin is averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, and 3.3 turnovers through three games as a starter for Detroit. Make sure he's not sitting on your waiver wire, as he has now officially become a must-own player in all standard leagues.
Jan 25 - 2:59 PM

Brandon Jennings will miss the remainder of the season with a full tear of his left Achilles.

This is a tough blow for the Pistons, and we wish Jennings a speedy recovery. Typically these types of injuries take 7-12 months for a complete recovery, and that's just talking about returning to the court. D.J. Augustin becomes a must-own guy with Jennings unavailable for the rest of the season, and Spencer Dinwiddie will also enter the rotation as the primary reserve off the bench. If Augustin is sitting on your waiver wire, go grab him now as he's averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 three-pointers as a starter for Detroit.
Jan 25 - 2:33 PM

Dwight Howard (ankle) did not participate during shootaround, and he is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

It's worth noting that head coach Kevin McHale said he's "not real hopeful," that Dwight will play tonight, so it's sounding like he's closer to doubtful than a game-time decision. If Howard is forced to sit that Rockets could go with Joey Dorsey at the center spot, or it's possible they slide over Donatas Motiejunas to the center position and start Josh Smith at power forward. We'll have a better idea of the starting lineup closer to tip-off, but Smith and Motiejunas would likely be the primary beneficiaries.
Jan 25 - 2:17 PM

Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

He wasn't able to practice on Saturday and he is reportedly still dealing with some swelling in his wrist, so he is probably closer to doubtful. Martin is still worth a stash for his upside in points and 3-pointers, but his owners will have to be patient as he will likely be eased into action when he does return. If Martin can't play, Robbie Hummel will continue to start for Minnesota, but is only an option in deeper leagues.
