John Wall admitted that he had pain after returning to the game following his shoulder injury on Friday, but he does not anticipate missing any time.

"If nothing is broke and I can run and jump, I feel like I can play through any time of pain," he said. "but if something comes up that it's injured, I won't. I think everything is fine." It's great that Wall returned for the second half of Friday's game, but he admitted to being in pain after the game, and it's possible he'll be reevaluated on Saturday to ensure that everything checks out as it should.

Kevin Durant hit 13-of-25 shots and three 3-pointers for 33 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal in Saturday's easy Game 1 win over the Grizzlies.

The final score was 100-86 in favor of the Thunder, as they became the only home team to win on the opening day of the playoffs. Russell Westbrook added 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, but was 0-for-5 from downtown. The Grizzlies made a nice run in the third quarter, but this one was really never in doubt. It's hard to see the Thunder losing this series after tonight's strong statement.
Apr 20 - 12:29 AM

Paul George hit just 6-of-18 shots and left Saturday's Game 1 loss briefly with a left knee injury, finishing with 24 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, four steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers.

Despite the poor shooting, that's a pretty stellar fantasy line from George, but the Pacers were down by about 20 for most of the second half, and lost 101-93. There's no word on the severity of his knee injury, but given that he quickly returned after a trip to the locker room, we're guessing it's no big deal. The No. 1 seeded Pacers turned over homecourt advantage to the Hawks tonight, and don't match up well with Atlanta. If the Hawks hang on to win the series, they'll become just the third No. 8 seed to beat a No. 1 in a seven-game series, joining the 2007 Warriors (over the Mavericks), and the 2011 Grizzlies (over the Spurs).
Apr 19 - 9:51 PM

Jeff Teague hit 9-of-19 shots, a 3-pointer and 9-of-10 free throws for 28 points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal in Saturday's Game 1 101-93 win over the No. 1 seeded Pacers in Indy.

Paul Millsap added 25 points, eight rebounds, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers in the win. The Pacers look like the worst No. 1 seed in history, but it's early. The Hawks now hold homecourt advantage and the Pacers are going to have to make some sweeping changes if they're going to come back. George Hill and Roy Hibbert don't match up well against the Hawks, and Frank Vogel may have to bench them in order to get the Pacers going. It's been a wild opening Saturday, as all three away teams (Hawks, Warriors, Nets) have won today.
Apr 19 - 9:45 PM

David Lee looked great in the Warriors' Game 1 victory on Saturday, scoring 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting with 13 rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes.

Lee played solid post defense and drew a number of fouls against Blake Griffin, who eventually fouled out in 19 minutes. His recent hamstring injury led to some concern about his conditioning, as he hadn't played more than 33 minutes in the past three weeks, but Saturday's performance was a clear indication that the ambidextrous PF is healthy and ready to go.
Apr 19 - 6:49 PM

Draymond Green headed into the Warriors locker room with an apparent right knee injury before halftime on Saturday, but he has since returned.

Green was crossed over by Matt Barnes and fell awkwardly, and after a few moments he left to be evaluated by the training staff. His return is great news for Golden State, as the absence of Andrew Bogut (ribs) has already left them more reliant upon guys like Green, Harrison Barnes and Marreese Speights.
Apr 19 - 4:38 PM

Joe Johnson and Deron Williams each scored 24 points in Saturday's road win vs. the Raptors, with Johnson connecting on 8-of-13 FGs and 8-of-8 FTs.

D-Will carried the Nets in the first half and they wisely fed Johnson while he was hot in the third quarter, but it was their locked-in team defense that earned them a tough victory. They'll try to take a stranglehold on the series with another win in Toronto on Tuesday before heading to Brooklyn for Games 3 and 4.
Apr 19 - 3:51 PM

Paul Pierce got hot in the fourth quarter on Saturday, finishing with 15 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in a 94-87 win in Toronto.

Pierce's late surge helped keep the Raptors at bay and he already looks like a matchup nightmare, as Toronto's PFs aren't nimble enough to chase him off the 3-point line without giving up easy driving and passing lanes. Fellow 'dinosaur' Kevin Garnett had five points, eight rebounds, two steals and one block in 20 minutes, and his lone field goal was a dagger in the final minutes.
Apr 19 - 3:47 PM

Jonas Valanciunas set a new Raptors' postseason record with 18 rebounds in Saturday's tough home loss to the Nets, while scoring 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting.

Valanciunas added two assists and two blocks. He turned the ball over six times but the Raptors wouldn't have stood a chance without his activity in the paint. JV's playing time and production have steadily increased since the All-Star break and he'll need to have a great series for Toronto to overcome their early 0-1 deficit.
Apr 19 - 3:43 PM

Joakim Noah (bereavement) returned to practice on Saturday after sitting out on Friday.

Noah will be ready for the Bulls' playoff opener vs. Washington on Sunday, which Chicago is heavily favored to win. Wizards center Marcin Gortat averaged 15.4 points and 10.8 rebounds after the All-Star break, but he's unlikely to have so much success while facing Noah on a nightly basis.
Apr 19 - 1:39 PM

Nick Calathes will be suspended 20 games for violation of the NBA's Anti-Drug Policy.

The suspension starts now which means he won't be see postseason action. Calathes tested positive for Tamoxifen, an over-the-counter athletic supplement. He was solid this year and filled in admirably while Mike Conley was out earlier this season, averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 boards, 4.9 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.3 triples in his seven starts. Beno Udrih will back up Mike Conley, who figures to get more than 40 minutes per night vs. OKC in round one.
Apr 18 - 7:33 PM

The Jazz will not bring Ty Corbin back for the 2014-15 season, according to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News.

It seemed like Corbin was on thin ice considering how his team was the worst in the Western Conference. Plus, he wasn't even a lock to make it through the season in the last year of his deal. With Corbin out, the team doesn't seem to have any candidates that jump right out, but there should be some reports in the coming days.
