Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that it's unlikely either Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett will be traded before the February 21 deadline.

The Celtics are on a roll since Rajon Rondo went down for the season, and it would take a whopper of a proposal to get Ainge to even consider the possibility of moving one of his two centerpieces. We don't foresee a deal involving either player, but as we've seen in the NBA before, this is a league where you can never say never.

Jeff Teague (hamstring) is doubtful to play on Saturday against the Rockets.

It's clear the Hawks are not going to rush him back, which makes sense considering how many players have aggravated their hamstring strains this season -- David Lee and Patrick Beverley, for example. His fantasy owners should just bench him and expect him back next week. Dennis Schroder gets a date with Patrick Beverley while Shelvin Mack will also get some run.
Dec 19 - 3:23 PM

Shabazz Muhammad is expected to get more playing time with the trade of Corey Brewer.

He's played very well and has a superstar-like usage rate of 29.2 over his last seven games. Muhammad has also been playing more time at small forward these days, so that bodes very well for his outlook. He's not going to do much outside of scoring, but he does have two three-steal games in his last four. 'Bazz is better suited for points leagues, but he's worth a look in standards, as well.
Dec 19 - 2:52 PM

Corey Brewer has been traded to the Rockets.

This has been in the works for a few days and was expected to get done today. Brewer will come off the bench to help a very thing second unit for the Rockets right now. He's a great fit in reality, but it's certainly not going to translate to solid fantasy value. Cut him in most leagues. Meanwhile, Shabazz Muhammad will get some extra minutes and is worth a look, especially in points leagues.
Dec 19 - 2:36 PM

Jordan Hill (illness) is expected to start against the Thunder on Friday.

He is expected to have a limitation on his minutes. Hill has been sick for the past two days and was not at shootaround. His owners will want to check back and may want to consider him benching him considering this is a late game. If he's out, Robert Sacre will likely pick up his minutes while Ed Davis may also play a little more.
Dec 19 - 2:22 PM

Rajon Rondo is expected to make his Mavs debut Saturday vs. the Spurs.

It's worth noting that the Mavs still intend to use Monta Ellis as their primary pick-and-roll ball handler, so while the spacing on the floor will change, Ellis' role will not. Rondo should be able to get some easier looks on offense with the offensive weapons that surround him, so perhaps he can improve on his current 40.5 percent shooting from the field.
Dec 19 - 2:13 PM

Tyreke Evans (knee) was limited to some light shooting drills during Friday's practice, and he's questionable to play Saturday vs. Portland.

There remains some swelling in Evans knee, and he will take some anti-inflammatory medication and test his knee during shootaround Saturday morning. Austin Rivers stepped into the starting lineup on Thursday with Evans sidelined, but only managed to put up 10 points and six assists over 35 minutes of action. If Evans is unavailable, there will be more shots to go around for guys like Jrue Holiday, Ryan Anderson, and Anthony Davis. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 2:06 PM

Paul Pierce (sore right toe) was a full participant during shootaround, and all signs are pointing towards him being available for Friday's game vs. the Heat.

If Pierce is a go, Otto Porter will head back to the bench where he'll be irreverent in nearly all leagues. Pierce has a favorable matchup today with the Heat, so owners will want to check back for an official update on his status as we draw closer to Friday's tip. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 1:48 PM

Brandan Wright will be inactive for Friday's game vs. Minnesota.

Tyler Zeller's starting spot is safe for now, but it'll be interesting to see how Brad Stevens' rotations develop with Zeller, Wright, and Kelly Olynyk all vying for minutes. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 1:46 PM

Joakim Noah (ankle) is probable to play Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

The Bulls sure could use him going up against Memphis, and owners can probably feel comfortable plugging him into their lineups. We'll let you know if anything changes.
Dec 19 - 1:33 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Gibson is likely headed for another game-time decision in what will be a difficult matchup going up against an imposing Memphis frontcourt. If he's unable to go, expect Nikola Mirotic to get most of his reserve minutes, but know that a matchup vs. the Grizzlies is not ideal for daily leagues.
Dec 19 - 1:28 PM

Derrick Rose (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Expect Kirk Hinrich to draw the start, Aaron Brooks to see extended minutes off the bench, and Jimmy Butler to be tasked with running the offense. The Bulls don't play again until Monday, so we'll consider Rose questionable for that one. Stay tuned.
