Paul Pierce played his final NBA game on Sunday, finishing the Clippers' loss to Utah with six points on 2-of-4 shooting, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes.

"I gave every ounce I could, each and every day," Pierce said after the game. "And I have no regrets, even to the last day." Pierce exceeded 20 minutes once during the 2016-17 regular season, but he hit that mark three times in the playoffs as coach Doc Rivers leaned on him with Blake Griffin (toe) unavailable. Pierce finishes with career averages of 19.7 points, 1.6 threes, 5.6 boards, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks. He was the Finals MVP during the Celtics' championship season in 2008, made the All-Star team 10 times, and is a guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Gordon Hayward finished Utah's series-clinching win on Sunday with 26 points (9-of-20 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists and a pair of 3-pointers in 42 minutes of action.

Hayward scored just three points in nine minutes during Game 4 in Utah, due to food poisoning, but in the other six games he averaged an impressive 27.2 points, 2.7 threes, 8.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.8 steals. He played an exhausting 41.0 minutes in those games, and should be just as busy in a tough matchup vs. Kevin Durant and the Warriors in the second round.
Apr 30 - 6:57 PM

Derrick Favors posted a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double during Sunday's Game 7 win over the Clippers, adding three assists and one steal before fouling out in 30 minutes.

This was Favors’ first double-double since March 3, and he stepped up big time for Utah with Rudy Gobert struggling with foul trouble for much of the game. He was also excellent on the offensive glass, posting an offensive rebounding percentage of 21.1, and he was a major X-factor for the Jazz, posting a net rating of 25.7. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep this momentum going into Tuesday's Game 1 matchup with the Warriors.
Apr 30 - 6:51 PM

Chris Paul was held to just 13 points on 6-of-19 shooting during Sunday's Game 7 loss, adding four boards, one 3-pointer, nine assists and three turnovers in 40 minutes.

Paul did everything he possibly could to try and give his Clippers a Game 7 win, but ultimately, it was not enough. CP3 did see a minor dip in his numbers during his age-31 season with averages of 18.1 points, 9.2 dimes, 5.0 boards, 2.0 triples, 1.9 steals and 2.4 turnovers per game on 47.6 percent shooting, but that was still good enough for top-10 value in standard 9-cat leagues. He'll likely opt out of his contract this summer, and after another first-round exit, it'll be interesting to see if he stays committed to remaining in Los Angeles.
Apr 30 - 6:27 PM

Markieff Morris (ankle) said he will "definitely" play in Game 2 against the Celtics on Tuesday.

Morris said he wanted to return to the court in Game 1, but the Wizards’ medical staff ultimately ruled against it. Players tend to be overly optimistic when discussing their injuries, and Morris’ ankle could swell up on him overnight, so we’re still going to consider him questionable for Game 2. If he’s out, Kelly Oubre could draw the start and Otto Porter will be forced into heavy minutes.

John Wall double-double in the Wizards Game 1 loss to the Celtics on Sunday, tallying 20 points, 16 assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, two blocks and an unfortunate eight turnovers in 39 minutes.

Wall and the Wizards were firing on all cylinders to begin the game, but they lost a lot of momentum when Markieff Morris went down with an ankle injury, and turnover issues were a major factor in Washington picking up an L after Game 1. Wall struggled when Brad Stevens put Marcus Smart on him, and simply put, he'll need to be better in Game 2 for Washington to have a chance of stealing a game on the road.
Apr 30 - 4:34 PM

Isaiah Thomas scored 33 points during Boston's Game 1 win over Washington on Sunday, adding five 3-pointers, nine assists, one rebound, one block and two turnovers in 38 minutes.

Thomas had his front tooth knocked out fighting around a screen during the first quarter, after which he picked up his tooth, handed it to one of the Boston trainers and proceeded to drain back-to-back triples. IT4 put in averages of 27.8 points, 2.3 triples, 8.0 assists, 4.0 boards and 3.3 turnovers through four games against the Wizards during the regular season, so he should be big in this second-round series.
Apr 30 - 3:37 PM

Rudy Gobert (mild left ankle sprain) will play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Clippers, as expected.

"It's a Game 7. He'll play," said head coach Quin Snyder. Gobert was never in any danger of missing tonight's game, although he will be playing hurt, so he could be somewhat limited. Joining Gobert in the starting five will be George Hill, Joe Ingles, Gordon Hayward and Boris Diaw.
Apr 30 - 2:10 PM

Gerald Green will remain in the starting lineup for Game 1 vs. the Wizards on Sunday.

The Celtics will start Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, Green, Jae Crowder and Al Horford. It's going to be difficult for Boston to hide both Thomas and Green on the defensive end, so don't be surprised if coach Brad Stevens makes a quick adjustment if Green doesn't have the hot hand early. The streaky shooter averaged 11.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 triples in 20.5 minutes in his previous four starts in Round 1, so he's a punt option in DFS at his very affordable price. We should still see quite a bit of Marcus Smart in this series.
Apr 30 - 11:13 AM

Chris Paul put his team on his back during a 98-93 Game 6 win in Utah on Friday, scoring 29 points with three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

The Clippers had a 10-point lead with less than 90 seconds left, but of course the Clippers made it exciting late to have this game come down to a missed Joe Johnson shot with three seconds left. Paul himself summed it up perfectly after the game. "It wouldn't be us if it wasn't dramatic," Paul said on the ESPN broadcast. The Clippers are 3-1 in Game 7 matchups since 2012, but anything is possible for this one, especially with a 12:30 PDT start.
Apr 29 - 1:58 AM

Avery Bradley was outstanding once again during a series-clinching 105-83 win over the Bulls on Friday, scoring 23 points with five rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers.

He is just dominating right now and he got the best of Jimmy Butler. In fact, he admitted he felt disrespected by Jimmy Butler in the series, and had a little extra motivation when he heard the Bulls saying guys like him shouldn't be lighting them up. Coach Brad Stevens also said that the silver lining of Bradley missing time in January and February for his Achilles injury was that it wasn't in April and May. Bradley was playing like an All-Star before said injury and he's back to that form. The Celtics will be dangerous with AB shining.
