Timberwolves waived F Louis Amundson.

Amundson has been a non-factor all season and the team couldn't find an interested taker in a trade. He should get at least a couple of looks on the open market assuming he clears waivers.

Tyson Chandler (hip) is not expected to play on Saturday.

We'll look for another update, but the Mavs will likely use Bernard James as the starting center again tonight. Chandler is getting close to a return and he should be back at some point next week. Expect to see more Al-Farouq Aminu getting minutes at power forward, too.
Feb 28 - 7:55 PM

O.J. Mayo (hamstring) will play on Saturday against the Jazz.

The Bucks are going to need scoring off the bench with Jared Dudley sidelined with a knee injury, so owners in need of scoring and 3-pointers should give him a look. Mayo has missed the last two games, so we will let you know how his hamstring holds up after the game.
Feb 28 - 7:46 PM

Jared Dudley (knee) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

X-rays were negative on his kneecap and he appears to be day-to-day. However, it's tough to gauge how much time he is going to miss because Dudley did have an issue with his kneecap last year. He can be dropped in most leagues. Ersan Ilyasova and Jerryd Bayless likely get most of Dudley's minutes. Ilyasova is worth a look in standard leagues and we'll let you know how he does tonight.
Feb 28 - 7:45 PM

Chandler Parsons (ankle) is hopeful that he can return against the Pelicans on Monday.

Parsons is going to test out his ankle on Sunday before making a decision regarding the game against the Pelicans, but it certainly sounds like he is getting closer to a return. Richard Jefferson's value will take a massive hit when Parsons does return, while Al-Farouq Aminu will see a reduced as well. That being said, Aminu is still worth holing onto in deeper leagues for his ability to contribute in multiple categories.
Feb 28 - 7:42 PM

Amir Johnson is start against the Knicks on Saturday and Patrick Patterson is coming off the bench.

This move might be due to Kyle Lowry not playing or it could be due to how the Raptors were thumped on Friday. Regardless, there isn't much fantasy impact here and Johnson remains only a low-end player to own in standard leagues.
Feb 28 - 7:32 PM

Kevin Garnett will move back into the starting lineup for Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies, sending Adreian Payne back to the bench.

Garnett is going to constantly be at risk of picking up DNPs this this season, especially in away games, making him tough to own outside of the deepest of leagues. It's safe to leave Garnett on the wire, but it certainly is great to see back in Minnesota.
Feb 28 - 7:25 PM

Henry Walker will start at power forward against the Hawks with Udonis Haslem coming off the bench.

With Chris Andersen out, Haslem needs to play backup center for the Heat tonight. Walker has been on a roll lately and he's quickly already climbing into the conversation for 14-team leagues.
Feb 28 - 7:17 PM

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game vs. Portland.

While he wasn't able to practice on Saturday, he was able to get a few shots up afterwards. Cousins was held out of Friday's game vs. the Spurs, and with the Kings going nowhere in the Western Conference, they will probably err on the side of caution Sunday. Jason Thompson is coming off a double-double and would be worth a look in daily leagues if Cousins sits, while Carl Landry and Reggie Evans will see increased roles as well. Expect another update after shootaround Sunday morning.
Feb 28 - 6:59 PM

Chris Andersen (illness) will not play against the Hawks on Saturday.

The Heat are really going to have to get creative here with their minutes at the four and five. Expect to see a number of small-ball lineups next to Hassan Whiteside. Besides Whiteside, we might see more from Henry Walker and Michael Beasley.
Feb 28 - 6:40 PM

Greivis Vasquez will start against the Knicks on Saturday.

The last time Kyle Lowry missed a game (Apr. 5, 2014), Greivis Vasquez had 26 points, four boards, four dimes, one steal and six treys in 37 minutes. He should get a huge increase in playing time in a favorable matchup. If you're looking to stream a point guard tonight, look no further.
Feb 28 - 6:29 PM

Kyle Lowry will not play against the Knicks on Saturday.

He had a minor injury on Friday night and was able to return. Coach Dwane Casey said Lowry has looked banged up and he hinted he could rest him again. Lowry's February numbers look horrible, averaging 11.9 points, 5.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 treys on 34.2 percent from the field. The rest has to help him. While he's out, Greivis Vasquez should see a big increase in playing time. Plus, there should be more minutes for Lou Williams and James Johnson.
