Kobe Bryant went scoreless in the first half of the Lakers' 20-point comeback win on Friday, but came roaring back to finish with 20 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and a block against the Bobcats.

Kobe hit 6-of-15 shots and missed his two 3-point attempts, and has now hit just 1-of-25 shots from deep since Jan. 21, and it's hard not to point at his right forearm as the culprit. During that span he has been a second and fourth round value in 8- and 9-cat leagues, respectively.

Nikola Jokic (ankle) went to the locker room in the second quarter on Wednesday.

He looked to have stepped on P.J. Tucker's foot, but it didn't look bad. Jokic talked to the staff near the bench, and then limped to the locker room under his own power. He didn't have a bad limp compared to most ankle sprains. Hopefully, he can start the second half after being retaped. If not, Mason Plumlee will be busy and Kenneth Faried will also have to step up.
Nov 22 - 8:55 PM

Nicolas Batum (left elbow contusion) will not return to Wednesday's game and Jeremy Lamb started in his place for the second half.

With about 90 seconds left in the first half, Batum had Otto Porter on his back and it looked like he banged his elbow against him. Batum was shaking his arm for a few seconds and then he was taken out. This is the same elbow that kept him out to start the season, so hopefully he didn't aggravate anything. Batum finished with four points, three rebounds and no turnovers in 14 minutes. Lamb and Dwayne Bacon could play more if he needs to miss time, but it didn't look bad.
Nov 22 - 8:22 PM

Lou Williams started and Sindarius Thornwell moved to the bench against the Hawks on Wednesday.

When you're on an NBA-high nine-game losing streak, it's time for some changes. Williams was always going to get his minutes regardless, so this move doesn't affect him much. It'll be interesting to see how Thornwell fits in, but he has used his shots well since Pat Beverley (knee) went down.
Nov 22 - 7:42 PM

Gary Payton II, Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon, Khris Middleton and Thon Maker will start against the Suns on Wednesday.

Well that's a lineup. Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) is not going to play tonight, so the Bucks will go with a very small group against the up-tempo Suns. Brogdon should get an additional opportunity in this game after his numbers took a major hit since the Bledsoe deal.
Nov 22 - 7:37 PM

Greg Monroe will move to the bench on Wednesday against the Bucks.

He'll come off the bench in his revenge game. Coach Jay Triano as played Monroe just 21.3 minutes per game in three outings this year, so maybe that playing time drops into the teens. Monroe, Tyson Chandler and Alex Len could be very annoying to own with all three on the active roster.
Nov 22 - 7:28 PM

Tyson Chandler (illness) will start against the Bucks on Wednesday.

It'll be very interesting to see how the center minutes shake out with Chandler, Greg Monroe and Alex Len. Coach Jay Triano has gone three deep at power forward before, so maybe he does the same thing at center. Either way, this could be a messy situation for the next two weeks.
Nov 22 - 7:24 PM

Marcus Morris (knee) said he will play Wednesday vs. Miami.

He'll be coming off the bench behind Aron Baynes tonight, and could be somewhat limited due to the knee issue, so he's not the most attractive guy to roll out there on a busy 14-game Wednesday night.
Nov 22 - 7:23 PM

Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka and Jonas Valanciunas will start Wednesday vs. the Knicks.

Norman Powell (hip) will be available to play tonight, but after spending the past four games on the sidelines, Dwane Casey will ease him into things by bringing him off the bench. Casey wouldn't commit to either Powell or Anunoby as his long-term starting three-man, so these guys could bounce in and out of the starting five depending on the matchup. It'll be interesting to see how long OG can hold Powell off.
Nov 22 - 7:12 PM

P.J. Tucker will start for Ryan Anderson (illness) on Wednesday against the Nuggets.

He could see some decent minutes because Eric Gordon (calf) is also out for this game. Luc Mbah a Moute figures to get minutes at the forward spots and the Rockets could run a fairly tighter rotation. Tucker could be a sneaky DFS punt or a stream, but this is a 14-game night.
Nov 22 - 6:47 PM

Eric Gordon (sore calf) and Ryan Anderson (illness) are out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.

The good news on this is that it's just being called soreness for Gordon. Plus, the Rockets don't play again until Saturday, so he's basically getting a week off from game action. With him out, Bobby Brown or even Troy Williams could be added to the rotation, or the Rockets could add more minutes to their usual rotation. P.J. Tucker is going to start tonight.
Nov 22 - 6:43 PM

Wilson Chandler (sore back) will be available to play Wednesday vs. Houston.

Chandler was a full participant during Tuesday's practice and has only missed one game with this minor back issue, so he'll likely return to the starting five tonight, which will shift either Will Barton or Kenneth Faried back to the second unit. Barton should be fine regardless of how he enters the game because he's due for an uptick in usage sans Paul Millsap (wrist), but Faried would be far less effective as a reserve. Stay tuned.
