Alonzo Gee shot 8-of-8 from the field on Saturday, including three 3-pointers, but his 20-point game wasn't enough to cool off the red-hot Nuggets.

Gee made six shots in the first quarter before inexplicably getting gun-shy, and he went without any field goals in the second and fourth quarters. He's playing nearly 32 minutes per game this season but his numbers thus far have been disappointing -- 10.2 points, 0.8 threes, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals, giving him borderline value in 12-team leagues. This was his first game with double-digit points in the past three weeks.

John Wall (illness) is expected to play vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

Wall missed the morning shootaround, but it sounds like the Wizards were just playing it safe. He's a little risky in DFS, but his season-long owners can deploy him in their lineups. We'll have an update after warmups.

Marquese Chriss had a second MRI on his hip which showed that the injury is improving.

While this is good news, Chriss still doesn't have a timetable to return and his status for this week is up in the air. Dragan Bender will have a heavy workload while Chriss is out, but he's been a hit-or-miss fantasy option.
Jan 22 - 1:30 PM

Goran Dragic (knee) and Tyler Johnson (ankle) will not play in Monday's game vs. the Rockets.

Dragic has a bruised right knee and will miss his second straight game. This is likely a pain tolerance issue, so we'll continue to list him as day-to-day. With both Dragic and Johnson out, Josh Richardson and James Johnson will handle the ball a ton, while Wayne Ellington will get a nice bump and is coming off a 26-point game. All three are excellent fantasy options.
Jan 22 - 1:04 PM

Jimmy Butler (knee) will not play on Monday vs. the Clippers.

We still don't have many details, and the Wolves are simply calling the issue a sore right knee. With Butler out for a second straight game, the Wolves may turn to Nemanja Bjelica again -- he started in Butler's place vs. the Raptors and had eight points, six rebounds, two steals and one triple in 26 minutes. Andrew Wiggins dropped 29 points on 21 shots in his last game, so look for him to step up again. Looking ahead, the Wolves play again on Wednesday vs. the Blazers and Thursday vs. the Warriors.
Jan 22 - 12:51 PM

Kevin Love (illness) said he feels better and that he will play on Tuesday vs. the Spurs.

He said he felt dizzy when he was pulled early from Saturday's game and the Cavaliers gave him the day off practice on Sunday, but he was back with the team on Monday morning. He should be ready to roll and could see his normal allotment of minutes vs. the Spurs. Coach Tyronn Lue did talk about finding more touches for Love, so we'll see if it actually happens.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski and Michael C. Wright of ESPN, Kawhi Leonard and his camp have been described as "distant" and "disconnected" from the Spurs.

According to the report, "Months of discord centering on elements of treatment, rehabilitation and timetables for return from a right quadriceps injury have had a chilling impact" on Leonard's relationship with the front office and coaching staff. Wojnarowski adds that "there is work to be done to repair what has been until now a successful partnership," so the Spurs find themselves in rare territory for a franchise that is considered to be one of the best in all of sports. Spurs GM RC Buford has refuted these claims, but did add that this process has been "difficult for everyone." The superstar forward remains without a timetable to return as he continues to rehab his troublesome quad injury.

Rodney Hood (leg) will not play on Monday vs. the Hawks.

This is his second game in a row on the shelf and it's not a great sign that he's getting ruled out this early. For now, consider him questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Pistons. Joe Ingles is coming off a 21-point game vs. the Clippers, and guys like Joe Johnson and Alec Burks will get a small bump in value off the bench with Hood out.
Jan 22 - 11:15 AM

Tony Parker said after Sunday's game that Dejounte Murray will likely be the Spurs' starting PG going forward.

"[Gregg Popovich] told me ... that he thought it was time," Parker said. "And I was like, 'No, problem.'" He added that he'll help Murray "as best [he] can," and the 35-year-old embodied professionalism in the wake of his demotion. Parker's fantasy value doesn't change too much and his usage rate could actually increase, but Murray gets a solid bump as the starter going forward.
Jan 21 - 10:43 PM

The Pacers snapped a two-game losing streak on Sunday, aided by Thaddeus Young's 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and zero turnovers in 39 minutes.

Young isn't a good free-throw shooter (67.7% for his career) but he's found a way to avoid that problem -- just don't shoot them. The veteran is averaging a career-low 0.8 free-throw attempts per game this season, and has just four attempts in his past 15 games. He's been a steady mid-round value over the past few weeks.
Jan 21 - 9:58 PM

DeAndre Jordan (left ankle sprain) is listed out for Monday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

He's being ruled out a day in advance, which is never good, and we've yet to hear about DJ ramping up his activity during practices or shootarounds. Montrezl Harrell continues to benefit the most from his absence, despite coming off the bench behind fill-in starter Willie Reed. Jordan's next chance to return comes Wednesday vs. the visiting Celtics.
Jan 21 - 7:43 PM

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson tied his career-high with seven assists on Sunday, adding 21 points, eight rebounds and one block in a road win at Detroit.

RHJ also sank a pair of 3-pointers tonight, going 8-of-15 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line with just one turnover in 31 minutes. He came in with nine triples on the season, but took advantage of a Pistons defense that's allowed opponents to shoot 37.6% from deep this season (fifth-highest in the NBA). He also had seven assists on Jan. 13, and his well-rounded fantasy contributions make him a reliable mid-round value in nearly all formats.
