Eric Gordon (knee) will not play on Monday as he has not yet been cleared for back-to-back games.

Austin Rivers will start at SG in his absence. Gordon's minute-limit and back-to-back restrictions will stay in place indefinitely and he's admitted that his knee isn't 100 percent and he's not in great condition. As we've noted, those warning flags combined with the Hornets' abysmal record makes him a leading shutdown candidate, and if that were to happen Rivers would get heavy minutes as the starting SG.

Joel Embiid returned to action with a high-tech mask during a 128-108 win over the Heat in Game 3 on Thursday, scoring 23 points with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

This hero should probably should get a cape to go with the mask. Embiid needed three masks to get through this game with Justise Winslow stepping on one, and a second one breaking after he was fouled on the baseline. Embiid's defensive impact was highly apparent as he changed shots, while he and Ben Simmons put up a whopping 135.0 offensive rating in 24 minutes together. It's also worth a mention that he didn't play the final 1:59, so Embiid was likely headed to 32 minutes had the game been close. With The Process back, a run the NBA Finals could be in the cards for Philly.

Ben Simmons did his thing with 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 40 minutes against the Heat during a 128-108 win on Thursday.

He terrorized the Heat with cuts and drives to the basket, and the Heat really don't have anyone who can guard him. Simmons was also 7-of-8 from the line to up his postseason free throw shooting to 75.0 percent -- up from 56.0 in the regular season. He and Joel Embiid were incredible together today with 24 minutes together, posting a 135.0 offensive rating to get them to a +33.7 net rating. This team is going to be really good for a long time.
Apr 19 - 10:16 PM

Justise Winslow scored a playoff career-high 19 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Heat on Thursday.

He was on fire in the first half to get some added minutes throughout the game. Winslow's defense was the best on the team and he even had Dwyane Wade passing up open shots to get Winslow the rock on offense. He's been very good since the break and he will likely see more minutes in Game 4.
Apr 19 - 9:58 PM

Hassan Whiteside scored five points with two rebounds and one block in 13 minutes against the 76ers on Thursday.

Not good. He got worked in the post and he was late on a lot of help defense plays. Whiteside did get some fourth-quarter minutes, but he was on a very short leash with Joel Embiid working him while he was out there. He'll probably start Game 4, but he's not someone most DFS players should trust right now. His ADP will be sliding next year, too.
Apr 19 - 9:57 PM

Moe Harkless is getting the start for Game 3 against the Pelicans on Thursday.

In case you missed it, Evan Turner (toe) is out tonight. Harkless doesn't have a hard cap for his minutes, but his playing time will be monitored in his second game back from injury. Harkless was one of the Blazers' best players in March and he was a big part of their winning streak, so expect him to get all the minutes he can handle.
Apr 19 - 8:47 PM

JaVale McGee (quad) will play in Game 3 against the Spurs on Thursday.

He went through some pre-game work already and should be out there after suffering a quad contusion. McGee has made a big impact early in games and he should be looking at minutes in the teens today.
Apr 19 - 8:02 PM

Evan Turner (toe) will not play in Game 3 on Thursday.

That means we'll see more of Moe Harkless in his second game back from a minor knee procedure. Shabazz Napier and Pat Connaughton should also see a few extra minutes, but Harkless is the guy to target in DFS today.

Kristaps Porzingis (knee surgery) could miss the entire 2018-19 season according to Knicks owner James Dolan.

"I’ve been told everything from December to him being out for the season, so I don’t know what to expect on that," Dolan said. "But we can’t just sit on our a-- while he’s away. We need to develop a team and then integrate him into it when he comes back." Porzingis tore his ACL back in February and there's no word of any setbacks, so it's unclear why Dolan is being so pessimistic. KP recently said he was hopeful to be ready for the start of the 2018-19 season, so take Dolan's comments with a grain of salt for now.

Gerald Green racked up 21 points and 12 rebounds off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 7-of-17 shots with five 3-pointers, one assist, one block and zero turnovers in 26 minutes.

All of Green's attempts in the first half were from downtown, but that's nothing new -- he took a whopping 72.3% of his shots from beyond the arc this season, including 17 triples in Houston's regular-season finale. His deft scoring touch helped Houston overcome a brutal 2-of-18 shooting night from James Harden, and they head to Minnesota with a comfortable 2-0 series lead.
Apr 19 - 12:14 AM

James Harden shot 2-of-18 from the field for 12 points on Wednesday, making 7-of-8 free throws with seven assists, four rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Harden finished 1-of-10 from downtown, yet the Rockets still pulled away for a 102-82 victory thanks to lock-down defense and big games from Chris Paul (27 points) and Gerald Green (21 points). The Wolves threw multiple defenders at Harden all night long and considering they held him to 11.1% percent shooting, it's a strategy we're likely to see again as the series shifts to Minnesota for Game 3 on Saturday.
Apr 19 - 12:13 AM

Karl-Anthony Towns shot 2-of-9 for five points during the Wolves' lopsided Game 2 loss, adding 10 rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.

KAT was held to eight points on nine shots in Game 1 and the Wolves talked a lot about getting him going offensively, but that obviously didn't come to fruition. He was held to single-digit scoring just twice during the entire regular season and the fact that Houston has limited him in consecutive games is mind-boggling -- the Rockets did have the sixth-best Defensive Efficiency in the league this year, and their swarming defense has short-circuited the Wolves' offense. Towns and the Wolves will go back to the drawing board for Game 3 at the Target Center on Saturday.
