Joakim Noah's foot is "obviously still bothering him," and Noah admitted that he's struggling in trying to treat his injury the proper way.

"I didn't do much for the last two days so, just rest," he said. "I got to figure out something that works because I have to practice, too." Noah played 38 minutes on Monday, and it looks like he'll rest it on days off when he can for now while playing through the concern in game action.

Amare Stoudemire will start Thursday as the Knicks take on the Bulls.

Stoudemire will draw a difficult matchup tonight against the Bulls, but with J.R. Smith (foot) and Carmelo Anthony (knee) not playing, he's going to be given a lot of responsibility on the offensive end. He remains a risky play in daily leagues.
Dec 18 - 6:43 PM

The Knicks will start Jose Calderon, Tim Hardaway Jr., Travis Wear, Cole Aldrich and Amare Stoudemire against the Bulls on Thursday.

Not exactly the greatest starting lineup for national TV. Aldrich was outstanding over the summer and he's a much better offensive force than Samuel Dalembert, so it makes sense to give him more run with Carmelo Anthony out. He's a decent rebounder and may also help out on blocking shots. If you're in a pinch, Aldrich could have a decent game for deep-league owners.
Dec 18 - 6:42 PM

Carmelo Anthony (knee) will not play against the Bulls on Thursday.

There is talk of people advising him to sit out for a few weeks, so Anthony could miss time despite how he said he wants to play. With Anthony out, the Knicks are going to have to come up with some creative ways to score the ball. Tim Hardaway Jr. is probably their best bet based on how he carried the Knicks at summer league. Pablo Prigioni, Shane Larkin and Jose Calderon may be used in two-PG lineups, too. Anthony should be considered questionable for the weekend.
Dec 18 - 6:34 PM

Joakim Noah (ankle) will play Thursday vs. the Knicks, as expected.

Get him in your lineups for what is a favorable matchup vs. the Knicks. With Derrick Rose (illness) unavailable for this one, Noah will be asked to do a bit more on offense, and he makes for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Dec 18 - 6:32 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) will warm up and see how he feels before deciding his status for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

If Gibson is unable to play, Nikola Mirotic will soak up his minutes, although he's been struggling lately so he's a risky option in daily leagues. Joakim Noah will get all the minutes he can handle if Gibson can't go. Stay tuned.
Dec 18 - 6:29 PM

Derrick Rose (illness) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

He was questionable for the game due to an illness and this will snap his 11-game streak of playing in games -- his longest since his ACL tear. Rose should be considered questionable for Friday against the Grizzlies. Meanwhile, Aaron Brooks is an interesting option as a plug-and-play guy. Kirk Hinrich will likely start.
Dec 18 - 6:19 PM

The Celtics have agreed in principle to deal Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks in exchange for Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder and two draft picks, according to ESPN.com.

It's certainly not a deal like the one the Jazz received for Deron Williams, the Nuggets got for Carmelo Anthony or the Magic pulled off for Dwight Howard, but there are assets here. Of course, the Celtics lost a lot of their leverage because of Rondo's poor play and ACL tear, so it's not a bad deal. As for Rondo's fantasy value, he's likely to lose some value. He is likely going to have to give up some ball-handling responsibilities, so he is likely to lose his current lead for assists per game. Rondo has only held No. 129 value on the season in standard leagues, so it's going to be awfully tough to deal him.
Dec 18 - 6:03 PM

Boston and Dallas are reportedly discussing a deal that would send Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, and a first-round draft pick to Boston in exchange for Rajon Rondo.

That would be a nice haul for the Mavericks, and Boston's frontcourt would become even more confusing with Wright, Kelly Olynyk, Tyler Zeller, and Brandon Bass all vying for minutes. Rondo would join one of the most crowded backcourts in the NBA, and he would essentially kill the value of Jameer Nelson. If this trade goes through, it’ll be interesting to see if Rondo and Monta Ellis can co-exist. Marcus Smart will become the Celtics' starting point guard when Rondo is dealt (if another point guard doesn't come back), and he is worth stashing in all leagues. Stay tuned.
Dec 18 - 5:26 PM

Rudy Gay (Achilles) is being listed as probable for Thursday's game vs. Milwaukee.

Gay has been playing through his Achilles tendinitis for some time now, so we'd expect him to give it a go. With Omri Casspi (knee) already ruled out, Gay will get all the minutes he can handle in a favorable matchup against the Bucks, and he makes for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues.

Larry Sanders has been suspended for Thursday's game against Sacramento for pushing Nicolas Batum in the back as he elevated towards the basket.

That means that Zaza Pachulia is going to get all the run he can handle with Sanders, John Henson (foot), and Ersan Ilyasova (nose) unavailable, and he makes for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Johnny O'Bryant may see some extended minutes off the bench, but he's still working himself into basketball shape, so Zaza is the guy to target here.
Dec 18 - 4:14 PM

Reggie Evans (knee, hip) will not play Thursday vs. the Bucks.

Evans suffered the injuries during Tuesday's game vs. OKC, and there is currently no timetable set for his return. With DeMarcus Cousins expected to return on Thursday, there's not much reason to hold onto Evans, and he can be cut in most leagues. Carl Landry and Derrick Williams will likely see some extended minutes, but neither makes for a great plug-and-play option.
