Tyson Chandler was limited in practice on Tuesday due to a sore right ankle, but he's expected to play on Wednesday.

We're not raising our red flag. Chandler has sat before in practices when battling bumps and bruises, and there is nothing to suggest that the center is in danger of missing any time before or after the All-Star break.

James Johnson (right rotator cuff strain) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Knicks.

The Heat just can't catch a break. This is a new injury for Johnson and it's not clear how much time he will miss. Justise Winslow (wrist) and Dion Waiters (groin) remain out, while Luke Babbitt (hip) and Josh Richardson (ankle) are questionable. Expect to see a lot of three-guard lineups vs. the Knicks with Rodney McGruder and Wayne Ellington picking up some minutes at the three.
Dec 5 - 1:32 PM

Justise Winslow (wrist) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Knicks.

He didn't practice on Monday and the Heat won't let him play until he returns to full practice. The good news is that he's nearing a return and we may see him later in the week. With Dion Waiters (groin) out and James Johnson (shoulder) going down, Winslow will have to play heavy minutes right away when he returns.
Dec 5 - 1:30 PM

Jose Calderon (right hamstring strain) is expected to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks.

An MRI confirmed the diagnosis as the bad luck continues to pile up on the Lakers. Marcelo Huertas could end up moving into the starting lineup until D'Angelo Russell (knee) is able to return, as coach Luke Walton prefers to keep Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson with the second unit. Brandon Ingram should also have the ball in his hands a bit more moving forward.
Dec 5 - 12:55 PM

Anthony Davis (right foot sprain) is probable for Monday's game vs. Memphis.

Davis denied reports that he had X-rays on his foot after Sunday's game, but this confirms that he did tweak something and that he may not be 100 percent Monday night. Season-long owners can pencil him into lineups, but he's a little more risky than usual in DFS. He has battled a variety of ailments this season including minor knocks to his right shoulder and knee, but he's only missed one game so far. He's also playing 37.5 minutes per game, so the Pelicans are asking for trouble.
Dec 5 - 12:34 PM

Jerian Grant will start in place of the suspended Rajon Rondo on Monday vs. the Blazers.

Rondo will be back for Tuesday's game vs. Detroit, so Grant is just a low-end streaming option for Monday and a cheap punt play in DFS. In two previous starts this season, Grant averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.0 triple in 30.0 minutes.
Dec 5 - 12:20 PM

Trevor Ariza (back spasms) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Boston.

He said on Sunday that he was feeling better, but he sat out of practice and wouldn't commit to playing. If Ariza is held out, Sam Dekker has been playing really well and should get a nice boost -- he's played 26 or more minutes in three straight games, scoring in double digits in each.
Dec 5 - 12:09 PM

Seth Curry (right knee sprain) is a game-time call against the Hornets on Monday.

He's missed two games in a row, but he went through the morning shootaround which is always a good sign. He's day-to-day and should play a ton down the stretch for the tanking Mavs, so it's a good idea to hold him if you can in standard leagues. Deron Williams has played 30 or more minutes in the two games that Curry missed, while Devin Harris has been playing minutes in the teens.
Dec 5 - 12:07 PM

The Grizzlies have signed veteran PG/SG Toney Douglas by using the NBA’s hardship rule.

He was the "frontrunner" to sign for the Grizzlies after they worked out a few point guards last week. With Mike Conley (back) looking at a multi-week absence, Douglas should immediately see minutes on his new team which puts him on the radar in deeper leagues. For now, most owners should use a wait-and-see approach because it's not clear how big of a role he will have. Andrew Harrison's owners should be slightly concenred as his value could take a hit with the arrival of Douglas. We'll let you know if he's active for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Robert Covington (knee, illness) will miss the next three games for the 76ers.

This means he will miss Monday's game vs. Denver and the two-game road trip against the Grizzlies and Pelicans. Based on this timetable, the earliest we would see Covington is on Dec. 11 against the Pistons, but that's not a lock either. Gerald Henderson and Nik Stauskas have been playing heavy minutes, while Hollis Thompson should be more involved as well.
Dec 5 - 11:49 AM

Paul Millsap (hip) is a game-time call on Monday vs. the Thunder.

Millsap has missed the last three games for the Hawks, but he's truly day-to-day and the Hawks didn't even feel the need to give him an MRI which is a very good sign. If Millsap is ultimately ruled out Monday, Mike Muscala could possibly make his second straight start at PF, but he won't be a great option outside of deeper leagues.
Dec 5 - 11:45 AM

Rajon Rondo has been suspended for Monday's game vs. the Blazers.

He's being suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team," as he reportedly snapped at an assistant coach in the loss against Dallas. He's since apologized to the team, so he should be back in his usual role on Tuesday against the Pistons. With Rondo out, Jerian Grant will likely get the chance to start and play big minutes, while Isaiah Canaan and Denzel Valentine should get a bump as well. In two previous starts this season, Grant posted averages of 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.0 triple in 30.0 minutes.
