Latest Headlines

James Harden (ankle) will start against the Clippers on Wednesday.

He's certainly earning his max deal. Harden went through normal warmups and he's simply too good to even think about benching with this news. There were reports of Harden missing the game immediately following Tuesday's game and we'll be watching to see how he battles through the injury.

John Henson will replace Zaza Pachulia (calf) in the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. Orlando.

Henson offers a lot of upside, and with a favorable matchup against the Magic, he's looking like a fine plug-and-play in daily leagues. It's going to be hard for head coach Jason Kidd to limit Henson's minutes tonight with Ersan Ilyasova, and Zaza unavailable. Kenyon Martin could also pick up some extended minutes tonight as one of the few healthy big men left on the roster, although he's unlikely to contribute much to the stat sheet.
Jan 29 - 6:03 PM

Jared Dudley will start at power forward for Thursday's game against Orlando with Ersan Ilyasova (groin) unavailable.

Dudley is more of a 3-point specialist, but he could see an uptick in value with the move to the starting lineup and a favorable matchup against the Magic. He's worth a dice roll for those playing daily leagues.
Jan 29 - 5:54 PM

Zaza Pachulia (calf) will not suit up for Thursday's game vs. the Magic, and John Henson will take his place in the starting lineup.

Pachulia said that he felt a "pop" while going through shootaround and he had to quit. He said he thinks he'll be sidelined for a week at the most, so owners can start looking at other options for Saturday's game vs. Portland, and Monday's game vs. Toronto. Henson will draw a favorable matchup against the Magic, and he looks like a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Jan 29 - 5:49 PM

Carmelo Anthony will start vs. the Pacers on Thursday.

The Knicks are currently in the second game of a back-to-back set, so the fact that Melo is playing is certainly an encouraging sign. Anthony is still capable of putting up amazing stats when in uniform, so owners should really use this as a selling point as the shut-down talks aren’t going away any time soon.
Jan 29 - 5:42 PM

George Hill will remain on his 20 minutes per game limit until Saturday, after which the Pacers hope to increase his workload.

While Hill has been limited to 20 minutes per game over his last three outings, he's still been able to put up serviceable numbers, averaging 14.3 points, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 three-pointer per game. He'll have a favorable matchup against the Knicks tonight, so feel free to roll him out there.
Jan 29 - 5:37 PM

C.J. Miles (groin) will play in short stretches for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

It sounds like he's going to come off the bench, as Frank Vogel would like to ease him back into the rotation. Although he has a favorable matchup against the Knicks tonight, the minutes limit makes him a risky option in daily leagues.
Jan 29 - 5:28 PM

Nicolas Batum's (wrist) status for Friday's game against the Hawks is unknown at this point.

Batum is likely headed for another game-time decision, but owners can expect another update on his status following Friday morning's shootaround. If Batum is forced to sit, there will be more touches on offense for Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews, and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Jan 29 - 5:18 PM

J.J. Redick (back) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Pelicans, but he will try and play.

Doc Rivers said that he's hopeful to have Redick available for Friday, so it's looking like he has a good chance of suiting up. We'll have a better idea of Redick's status following Friday morning's shootaround, but his return to action would likely send Jamal Crawford back to the bench, and he'd see a minor decrease in value.
Jan 29 - 4:55 PM

Evan Turner (thumb) was not a participant during Thursday's practice.

Turner played during the Celtics' last game despite the thumb issue, so we'll consider him probable for Friday's game against Houston. However, with a tough matchup against Patrick Beverley, and a busy schedule on Friday, there are probably better options you can plug into your active roster tomorrow.
Jan 29 - 3:47 PM

Avery Bradley (thumb, hand) did not practice on Thursday.

Bradley was able to fight through his ailments during Boston's last game, and he ended up logging 37 minutes. His absence from practice is likely to just get him some rest, and we'll be considering him on the probable side of questionable for Friday's game vs. Houston. Stay tuned.
Jan 29 - 3:44 PM

Gordon Hawyard (sinus congestion) did not practice on Thursday, but he is expected to play Friday vs. the Warriors.

Sinus congestion seems about as minor of an ailment as they come, so owners should not be fretting about him missing any game-time action. He will however have a tough matchup against Golden State on Friday, so that is something to consider for people playing daily leagues.
