Derrick Rose said he doesn't "mind missing this year" with his knee not where he wants it to be.

"If it’s where it’s taking me a long time and I’m still not feeling right, I don’t mind missing this year," Rose said. "I’m trying to get back on the court as quickly as possible. But if I have anything lingering on, it’s no point." He still isn't able to dunk yet and he's clearly wearing down on his rehab not going as well as he once hoped. Those that are stashing Rose with some strong options on the wire might want to reconsider and the news keeps getting worse on the former MVP.

Ray Allen will not play in the 2014-15 season.

"Over the past several months, I have taken a lot of time to deliberate what is best for me," Allen said. "I’ve ultimately decided that I will not play this NBA season. I’m going to take the remainder of this season, as well as the upcoming off-season, to reassess my situation, spend time with my family and determine if I will play in the 2015-16 season." Allen is a machine, so we certainly shouldn't rule out the possibility of him playing next year.

Zach Randolph (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Rockets.

He was held out of Tuesday's game vs. the Jazz and his presence was clearly missed, as Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors destroyed the Grizzlies in the paint. If Z-Bo is cleared to play tonight he will be a must-start option in all leagues even if he isn't quite 100 percent. Kosta Koufos will shift to the bench and can be dropped in most leagues if Z-Bo is given the green light.
Mar 4 - 1:59 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is no longer in a walking boot, but he still hasn't been cleared for basketball activity.

This is definitely a step in the right direction, but it still sounds like Gibson will need another week or so before he will return to the lineup. In the meantime, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah will each see a small bump in value, while Nikola Mirotic will continue to see an increased role off the bench and will be a must-own player until Gibson returns.
Mar 4 - 1:47 PM

James Harden will return from his one-game suspension vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday, shifting Corey Brewer back to the bench.

The MVP candidate is boasting averages of 27.1 points, 6.9 assists, 5.8 boards, 1.9 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 3-pointers per game this season, so plugging him back into active lineups will be the easiest thing his owners can possibly do today. On the other hand, Brewer will return to his normal role off the bench and can be dropped outside of deeper leagues.
Mar 4 - 1:45 PM

Tony Allen will return from his one-game suspension vs. the Rockets on Wednesday.

He was suspended for Tuesday's game vs. the Jazz due to an altercation between him and Nick Calathes during practice, but he should resume his normal role off the bench against the Rockets. Allen has season averages of just 8.1 points, 4.0 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.9 steals, so he is only worth a look in deeper leagues for the time being.
Mar 4 - 12:55 PM

Robert Covington (elbow) is doubtful to play vs. the Thunder on Wednesday according to head coach Brett Brown.

Covington suffered the injury vs. the Pacers on Sunday and was held out of Monday's game vs. the Raptors, but it's disappointing to see him listed as doubtful despite dealing with a simple elbow contusion. JaKarr Sampson will draw the start if Covington can't go, but Hollis Thompson and Jerami Grant are slightly more appealing for owners in deeper leagues. We will continue to pass along any further updates on Covington's status.
Mar 4 - 12:45 PM

Kevin Martin (illness) will play vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Martin is reportedly feeling a lot better after sitting out vs. the Clippers on Monday, and his owners can safely plug him back into all lineups. Gary Neal, who started Monday's game against the Clippers, will shift back to the bench and can be dropped across the board.
Mar 4 - 12:34 PM

Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will try to give it a go against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

While he did say that ankle has progressed, Pekovic will test out his ankle prior to the game before making a final decision regarding his status. If Pekovic is unable to go tonight, Gorgui Dieng becomes locked in as a must-start option in all leagues, while rookie Adreian Payne will see an uptick in minutes as well. Given the uncertainty, owners in daily leagues would be wise to avoid Pekovic tonight.
Mar 4 - 12:32 PM

Jrue Holiday (leg) is no longer in a walking boot, but he said that he is still experiencing pain and swelling in his lower right leg.

Holiday is expected to be reevaluated in the near future, so we should be able to provide another update shortly. However, It's definitely not a good sign if he is still dealing with pain and swelling, and it doesn't sound like he is anywhere close to returning to action. If Holiday continues to remain on the shelf, Tyreke Evans will continue to run the point for the Pelicans, while Norris Cole will continue to see extended minutes off the bench. Holiday is no longer a must-own player in standard leagues.
Mar 4 - 12:04 PM

Kevin Durant (foot) said that there is "no doubt' that he will be able to return before the end of the regular season.

Durant has yet to return to practice and said that he will be reevaluated again next week which all but rules him out for Wednesday vs. the 76ers, Thursday vs. the Bulls and Sunday vs. the Raptors. He was seen getting up some shots before last Thursday''s game vs. the Suns, so hopefully he will begin to ramp up his activities soon. Kyle Singler will continue to start at SF for the Thunder in the meantime, but Russell Westbrook is the obvious beneficiary any time KD sits out.

Russell Westbrook (face) will play vs. the 76ers on Wednesday.

He still has some swelling and discomfort in his face, but it's a fantastic sign if the Thunder are going to allow him to play against the lowly 76ers. Westbrook is arguably the hottest player in the NBA right now and is coming off three straight triple-doubles, so his owners have to be feeling pretty good about themselves right about now. D.J. Augustin will shift to the bench and can be dropped outside of deeper leagues. 76ers' PG Isaiah Canaan should be trembling right now.
