Josh Smith is apparently in the building for the Hawks' game against the Heat on Wednesday.

While it doesn't mean Smith won't be traded, it is a sign that any talks involving Smith have yet to progress to a serious enough level to hold him out for fear of injury. CBS Sports reported earlier Wednesday that the Hawks are "struggling to get the assets they are seeking" in a deal for Smith, who has been linked to the Nets, Bucks and Suns, among others, in recent days. If for some reason Smith were to suddenly be scratched from tonight's lineup, that would certainly raise some red flags, but it sounds like that's not the case as of this moment.

Terrence Jones (leg) has no timetable for his return, and he said that when he first suffered the injury he "couldn't even feel his leg."

Jones bruised a nerve in his right leg, though the presence of nerve damage wasn't initially disclosed so fantasy owners were flying in the dark. He's missed nine games and counting and may still be out a few more weeks. He was producing at a top-40 level prior to the fluke injury, so in most cases he's still worth holding onto, but it's a decision that shouldn't be made lightly in any format. Donatas Motiejunas and Kostas Papanikolaou continue to absorb his playing time, with Motie filling in as a starter.
Nov 22 - 7:08 PM

Mirza Teletovic will start in place of Kevin Garnett on Saturday against the Spurs.

This was an expected move as Mirza picks up a lot of the power forward minutes, especially late in the game. He should have some extra minutes and shots go his way, so he's a sneaky player to use in daily leagues as well as a streamer in year-long formats.
Nov 22 - 7:06 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo will return to Milwaukee's starting lineup on Saturday, sending Jerryd Bayless to the bench.

Jason Kidd unexpectedly benched Antetokounmpo on Friday, playing him 15 minutes in a blowout defeat vs. the Raptors. Giannis may still be dealing with a minor ankle injury but he's worth deploying now that he's reclaimed his spot in the Bucks' starting lineup.
Nov 22 - 6:58 PM

Cory Joseph (ankle) will not play against the Nets on Saturday.

The Spurs are without a backup point guard, but Manu Ginobili should help out there. That should also open up some minutes on the wing for Danny Green and Austin Daye. Joseph's injury doesn't sound serious.
Nov 22 - 6:56 PM

Dwight Howard (knee) will not play against the Mavericks on Saturday and has no timetable to return.

He was basically doubtful and he's still not well enough to play. Howard had plasma rich platelet treatment this week, but he still hasn't had a full workload at practice. Tarik Black played well on Wednesday and will get the start again. Kostas Papanikolaou will also benefit. Howard owners can push the panic button, but cutting him is not an option.
Nov 22 - 6:20 PM

An MRI confirmed Tobias Harris (right calf) is dealing with a strain and he is is day-to-day.

There are no specifics yet, but based on the information it sounds like a Grade I strain for Harris. Players tend to miss a day or two, but there are instances when it'll take a week to recover. His owners should bench him for now and we should have an update before Monday. Basically the entire rotation benefits here.
Nov 22 - 6:13 PM

Evan Fournier will start next to Victor Oladipo, Willie Green, Channing Frye and Nikola Vucevic on Saturday against the Heat.

The Magic are really going tiny here without Tobias Harris (calf) and it's just a testament to how coach Jacque Vaughn sees Fournier as the French version of a Swiss army knife. Fournier should be owned in all standard leagues until he cools off, which may not even happen this season.
Nov 22 - 5:57 PM

Jose Calderon will be in the starting lineup against the Sixers on Saturday.

There is no official minute restriction, but the Knicks would be extremely foolish to play him big minutes. Calderon has been out all season after an aggravation and he has a laundry list of muscle issues in his career. He should be owned in all leagues, but his owners should bench him. Shane Larkin owner will want to cut him in just about every league. We'll also keep an eye on how Calderon's return affects guys like Iman Shumpert.
Nov 22 - 5:51 PM

Norris Cole (finger) will not play against the Magic on Saturday.

It's going to be Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier handling the minutes at point guard tonight. With Chalmers logging more minutes at point guard, Shannon Brown will also be getting more run. The Heat have no been playing James Ennis at shooting guard much, so he doesn't benefit much.
Nov 22 - 5:42 PM

Marcus Smart (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Blazers.

It seems hard to believe that he is even close to a return after an ugly ankle injury. The Celtics are off until Friday following Sunday's game, so perhaps Smart will be ready for that contest. Phil Pressey should get some extra run tomorrow while Marcus Thornton and Evan Turner also see a bump.
Nov 22 - 4:40 PM

Kobe Bryant (rest) did not practice on Saturday.

Coach Byron Scott said he had him rest for heavy legs. "He’s such a workaholic that sometimes it can hurt you more than help you. So I told him ‘I’ll see you Sunday,‘" Scott said. Bryant definitely looked like he needed the rest with he and Nick Young missing their first 12 shots in an embarrassing loss to the Mavericks on Friday. He'll be ready on Sunday against the Nuggets.
