Dirk Nowitzki had a season-high 20 boards to go with 21 points, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes against the Bucks on Tuesday.

His 20 boards were just two off his career high and Dirk is absolutely surging right now. In his previous five games, he's averaged 21.6 points, 8.8 boards, 2.0 steals and 2.0 triples. His value has reached its apex and it seems like only an aggravation to his knee can keep him down.

Marcin Gortat grabbed a season-high 17 boards against the Pistons during a 99-95 win on Saturday, adding 16 points, one block and three steals.

Time after time big men have been torching the Pistons frontcourt. Gortat has finally seen his his numbers come up with double-digit boards and at least one block in each of his last five games. If you were able to buy low over the break, you're probably seeing some nice dividends.
Feb 28 - 9:39 PM

Bradley Beal played a surprisingly high 32 minutes against the Pistons on Saturday with eight points on 2-of-10 from the field with six rebounds, five assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

He might have played a little more, but his shot was just off tonight and he wasn't help his team much. Beal was doing most of his work on the perimeter, but there was no indication that he's still dealing with his leg issue and he was diving for loose balls in the fourth. He was only doing 3-on-3 before tonight and he should get a full practice in soon. Beal is a must-own player.
Feb 28 - 9:35 PM

Kevin Garnett was ejected from Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies after picking up his second technical foul, finishing with six points, three boards, two assists and three steals in 15 minutes.

He drew a second technical for slamming the ball down hard, but the Minnesota crowd loved his intensity. Garnett isn't going to have a big role in Minnesota at this point in his career, and with the constant risk of him picking up precautionary DNPs, he isn't worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 28 - 9:31 PM

Spencer Dinwiddie scored a career-high 20 points against the Wizards on Saturday with four rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one 3-pointers in 23 minutes.

He was fantastic tonight and coach Stan Van Gundy went with the rookie down the stretch. Dinwiddie attempted good shots all night and he also wasn't too shabby on defense. As nice as this was, the Pistons are still going to give Reggie Jackson a lot of run most nights. Dinwiddie is only worth an add in deep leagues for now, but keep an eye on him for his upside in several fantasy categories.
Feb 28 - 9:27 PM

J.J. Barea is starting alongside Rajon Rondo, Monta Ellis, Richard Jefferson and Dirk Nowitzki for Saturdy's game vs. the Nets.

The Mavericks are going small in order to match up better with the Nets, as they are currently starting Joe Johnson at power forward. It's going to be interesting to see how the Mavericks play with three ball-dominant guards on the court at the same time, but it's not likely to happen too often. Barea is capable of contributing a decent amount of points, assists and 3-pointers, but his value is still limited to deeper leagues for now. Bernard James started in place of Tyson Chandler (hip) on Wednesday against the Hawks and scored seven points with 11 rebounds and two blocks, but he will return to a bench role for tonight's contest.
Feb 28 - 8:26 PM

Tyson Chandler (hip) will not play on Saturday night against the Nets.

Bernard James will be the starting center again tonight. Chandler is getting close to a return and he should be back at some point next week. Expect to see more Al-Farouq Aminu getting minutes at power forward, too.
Feb 28 - 7:55 PM

O.J. Mayo (hamstring) will play on Saturday against the Jazz.

The Bucks are going to need his offense off the bench with Jared Dudley sidelined with a knee injury, so owners in need of scoring and 3-pointers should give him a look. Mayo has missed the last two games due to injury, so we will let you know how his hamstring holds up after the game.
Feb 28 - 7:46 PM

Jared Dudley (knee) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

X-rays were negative on his kneecap and he appears to be day-to-day. However, it's tough to gauge how much time he is going to miss because Dudley did have an issue with his kneecap last year. He can be dropped in most leagues. Ersan Ilyasova and Jerryd Bayless likely get most of Dudley's minutes. Ilyasova is worth a look in standard leagues and we'll let you know how he does tonight.
Feb 28 - 7:45 PM

Chandler Parsons (ankle) is hopeful that he can return against the Pelicans on Monday.

Parsons is going to test out his ankle on Sunday before making a decision regarding the game against the Pelicans, but it certainly sounds like he is getting closer to a return. Richard Jefferson's value will take a massive hit when Parsons does return, while Al-Farouq Aminu will see a reduced as well. That being said, Aminu is still worth holing onto in deeper leagues for his ability to contribute in multiple categories.
Feb 28 - 7:42 PM

Amir Johnson is start against the Knicks on Saturday and Patrick Patterson is coming off the bench.

This move might be due to Kyle Lowry not playing or it could be due to how the Raptors were thumped on Friday. Regardless, there isn't much fantasy impact here and Johnson remains only a low-end player to own in standard leagues.
Feb 28 - 7:32 PM

Kevin Garnett will move back into the starting lineup for Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies, sending Adreian Payne back to the bench.

Garnett is going to constantly be at risk of picking up DNPs this this season, especially in away games, making him tough to own outside of the deepest of leagues. It's safe to leave Garnett on the wire, but it certainly is great to see back in Minnesota.
