The Hornets are remaining "tight-lipped" about the status of Anthony Davis (shoulder).

A team spokesman told the media on Thursday that there is "no additional information" about Davis' shoulder injury and that he's simply day-to-day. He'll be reevaluated on Friday before the game against Detroit, but it's rather strange the Hornets haven't said anything since he was pulled from Tuesday's game. He underwent further evaluation on Wednesday in New Orleans and may have even gotten an MRI. He's sounding pretty doubtful for Friday, but we really won't know more until we get more details.

Tobias Harris said he hurt right knee on Thursday night.

Towards the end of the third quarter, Harris was walking off the court slowly before a timeout. He stayed in the game for a bit and didn't seem to be bothered by it much before he went to the locker room. This doesn't sound like a serious injury, but he should be considered questionable to play on Saturday against the Mavs. If he's out, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier and Kyle O'Quinn may benefit.

Nikola Mirotic will start at small forward against the Lakers on Thursday.

The Mirotic Experiment is back on. He was awful at the three earlier this month, but coach Tom Thibodeau is going to give him another shot. And why not against the Lakers? Mirotic has ridiculous upside, so feel free to give him a look in exchange for some semi-dead weight on the end of your bench.

Magic management is "not happy at all" with coach Jacque Vaughn and the group "won't settle for this," according to Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel.

The Magic have gone 2-13 in their last 15 games and they were blown out tonight against the Bucks on their home court. Vaughn's rotations have been a little inconsistent and he's had some trouble filling the minutes at the three and four, which has been exaggerated by the injury to Tobias Harris this month. If he is let loose, fantasy owners will want to keep an eye on Kyle O'Quinn in standard leagues and Aaron Gordon in points leagues.
Jan 29 - 10:15 PM

Vince Carter (foot) will not return to Thursday's game and will have an MRI.

It's only being called a "left foot injury" right now. Carter was able to walk around and put weight on his foot in the locker room, so hopefully that's a sign that he's not dealing with a major issue. There are some reports that there could be a sprain of his foot.
Jan 29 - 9:21 PM

DeMarcus Cousins (left ankle) is questionable to play against the Cavs on Friday.

This is interesting because Cousins missed time because of a right ankle sprain earlier this month. He did tweak his left ankle on Wednesday and did play through it, but it's possible he sits this one out. Although, one would think Boogie would want to suit up after being snubbed from the All-Stat team.
Jan 29 - 8:54 PM

Lavoy Allen is dealing with sore right knee and will not return to Thursday's game against the Knicks.

He hobbled back to the locker room under his own power with only a slight limp. This injury doesn't sound serious, but the timing is interesting because he leapfrogged Luis Scola for the No. 2 power forward spot tonight. He left the game with eight points, five boards and one assist in nine minutes.
Jan 29 - 8:20 PM

Dwight Howard (knee, ankle) will get a second opinion on his right knee and could miss "extended time," according to Yahoo! Sports.

It sounds like he won't be back until after the break and there's no specifics known about his injury besides some fluid buildup. Howard needed a couple weeks to get over a knee injury at the end of 2014 and it does seem a little more serious this time around. While Dwight is out, Terrence Jones will have a great opportunity in front of him while Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith will step up, too.
Jan 29 - 7:45 PM

Mike Conley (wrist) will not play against the Nuggets on Thursday night.

This will be his second game out of the lineup due to his wrist injury. The 2015 part of the season has not been nice to Conley with two ankle sprains and this current issue costing him time. There's no indication that this issue will linger on, so he can be considered as a buy-low candidate. Beno Udrih is a nice option in DFS tonight.
Jan 29 - 7:28 PM

Mike Conley (wrist) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Nuggets.

Conley dressed for Tuesday's game against Dallas, but he did not leave the bench, and it's looking like we're not going to get an official update on Conley's status until just before the tip. If he does indeed spend another game on the sidelines, Beno Udrih and Nick Calathes would split minutes at point guard. Stay tuned.
Jan 29 - 6:49 PM

JaVale McGee will again be available to play Thursday vs. Memphis.

McGee was available for the Nuggets' last game, but spent the entire game glued to the bench. He does however have a chance to step into the rotation tonight with the Nuggets looking for some size to go up against Memphis' imposing frontcourt of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. However, he's unlikely to do enough statistically to be worth using in most leagues.
Jan 29 - 6:42 PM

John Henson will replace Zaza Pachulia (calf) in the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. Orlando.

Henson offers a lot of upside, and with a favorable matchup against the Magic, he's looking like a fine plug-and-play in daily leagues. It's going to be hard for head coach Jason Kidd to limit Henson's minutes tonight with Ersan Ilyasova, and Zaza unavailable. Kenyon Martin could also pick up some extended minutes tonight as one of the few healthy big men left on the roster, although he's unlikely to contribute much to the stat sheet.
