There is a "near-unanimous" feeling that Gregg Popovich would be the "logical replacement" to take over Team USA Basketball, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

However, Berger cautions not to rule out Doc Rivers. The public perception has been that it's been between Popovich and Rivers for a while, and this confirms that notion. Either would be great choices to replace Coach K.

Jeff Teague (hamstring) will not play on Wednesday night against the Cavs.

He could miss additional time with the Hawks in the playoff hunt and all the hamstring aggravations this season. While Teague is out, Dennis Schroder is going to be a lot of fun to watch while Shelvin Mack also gets some extra playing time. Schroder is a very attractive daily play tonight and is worth a look for short-term value.
Dec 17 - 5:42 PM

Kevin Love (illness) will play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks.

This is excellent news for the Cavaliers, as Love was in serious danger of missing this one after not participating in the morning shootaround due to flu-like symptoms. Owners will want to activate Love in all lineups, even if he is at less than 100 percent.
Dec 17 - 5:21 PM

Goran Dragic (back) will play on Wednesday vs. Charlotte.

After missing the previous two games, Dragic is back and his owners can safely activate him in their lineups. He has a favorable matchup against the Hornets, and should be in for a nice night if his back doesn't flare up on him. Gerald Green will shift back to the bench on Wednesday, while Isaiah Thomas' value takes a slight hit with this news.
Dec 17 - 5:19 PM

The Boston Celtics "are exhibiting a renewed willingness" to pursue trade packages that include Rajon Rondo, according to Yahoo! Sports.

According to the report, league officials have said the asking price is "pretty high, probably higher than most want to pay," which is fairly obvious because there is no deal in place. The Celtics are looking to get a draft pick, so Marcus Smart would likely be their future point guard. Owners in deep leagues should consider stashing Smart while Phil Pressey and Evan Turner would also gain value. Rondo's value probably wouldn't change too much and he remains a No. 2 fantasy point guard who is better suited for points leagues.
Dec 17 - 4:46 PM

DeMarcus Cousins (illness) practiced on Wednesday and plans to play against the Bucks on Thursday.

The Kings will likely make a decision following shootaround on Thursday. Cousins has been out for over three weeks with viral meningitis and the Kings could limit him in his first game back, especially since his conditioning is not likely where it should be. His owners will want to check back tomorrow.
Dec 17 - 4:26 PM

Joel Freeland is listed as the starting center to face the Bucks on Wednesday.

Coach Terry Stotts has changed his lineups just before tip several times, so this is not necessarily set in stone. It does make sense because Chris Kaman isn't capable of playing big minutes at age 32 with a ton of injuries in his career. Additionally, Kaman's wife is expecting to give birth, so that could be a factor here, too. Kaman is still worth a look in standard leagues while Freeland could have value in deep formats.
Dec 17 - 3:34 PM

C.J. Watson was not at shootaround and is questionable to face the Clippers on Wednesday due to a sinus infection.

He has been playing around 30 minutes per night before taking garbage time into account, so the Pacers would have a big hole to fill. Donald Sloan would pick up some extra playing time while Rodney Stuckey's minutes would be extremely safe.
Dec 17 - 3:19 PM

Joakim Noah (ankle) said he will play against the Knicks on Thursday.

It's the Bulls, so he's not a complete lock to play. Noah has been held out of the lineup for the past four games, but he did go through practice. Upon his return, Taj Gibson will lose some minutes while Nikola Mirotic will also lose some playing time -- he's struggled lately. Noah's owners can pencil him in for their lineups.
Dec 17 - 2:41 PM

Dwight Howard (knee) participated in the morning shootaround, but is still questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Denver.

His status will likely be determined closer to tip-off, so his owners will have to frequently check back for updates. If he is held out of Wednesday's game, Tarik Black would likely start but still wouldn't be an asset in most leagues. Stay tuned.
Dec 17 - 1:52 PM

Jeff Teague (hamstring) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.

Teague is said to be dealing with a left hamstring strain, and reportedly suffered the injury in Monday's game vs. the Bulls. Owners will want to check back prior to tip-off to confirm this news, but it appears that Dennis Schroder will likely get the nod in the starting lineup Wednesday. Owners in deeper leagues should pick up Schroder as a speculative add for short-term value, and should also give him a look as a sneaky daily plug-and-play.
Dec 17 - 1:22 PM

J.R. Smith (foot) will not play in Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

It will be his fifth straight game out of the lineup and it is becoming pretty evident that this injury has become a real issue for him. Smith isn't worth owning in standard leagues as he has failed to succeed in the triangle offense and it is unclear when he will return to action. Tim Hardaway Jr. will play all the minutes he can handle Thursday and is worth a look in most leagues.
