Kevin Love joining the Cavaliers appears to be imminent, according to ESPN.

We still don't know exactly what the Cavs will give to acquire Love, but the fact that sources are calling a trade a "when, not if" situation points to Love joining the Cavs at some point. Cleveland appears to be the only team the Wolves are talking to about a Love trade, and chances are that Andrew Wiggins is involved, along with Anthony Bennett. But regardless of what names are involved in a potential trade, it does sound like the Cavs will have Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love on the court together at some point this season. If a deal does go down, it's not likely to happen officially until 30 days have passed from the day Wiggins was signed by the Cavs (July 24).

The Raptors signed Will Cherry to a two-year deal.

It's at the minimum and for the second year in a row the Raptors sign a point guard who impressed at summer league. They already waived Dwight Buycks earlier this month, so Cherry essentially takes his place and could fall on the depth chart as the third point guard. He performed very well at summer league, averaging 12.8 points, 4.0 boards, 3.0 assists and 0.2 steals on 52.1 percent from the field.

The Lakers worked out unrestricted free agent Michael Beasley on Wednesday.

Beasley's agent said some teams have interest in his client, so he wasn't bluffing. The Lakers would be a good spot for Beasley due to their lack of depth at small forward, but he certainly wouldn't be a lock to make the rotation. Additionally, the Lakers would have a handful of characters on their team should they sign Beasley.

Kevin Durant is from the Washington, D.C. area and addressed rumors about him playing for the Wizards when his contract is up in two years.

Durant gave the standard "I play for the Thunder and have not thought that far ahead" answer to begin with, but also addressed the situation head on. "I'm going to do what's best for me," Durant said. "That whole city is a part of me. It's in my blood. I love going back home, seeing my family and playing there, but I love Oklahoma City, too." Durant went on to say that "everybody's" asked him about a return to D.C., adding "I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm naïve to the fact that people think about that stuff." But the bottom line is that this decision is a couple years away and it will likely depend on the state of the Thunder, the Wizards and other teams when it's time for him to decide. But it does sound like there's a very real chance Durant could make a run for the Wizards two years from now.

Anthony Bennett was pulled from a Pro-Am tournament in Canada on Tuesday, but is not injured.

His agent reportedly made the move, which should sufficiently throw the 'Kevin Love to Cavs' rumors in full gear. It makes sense, as Bennett's name has been included in potential deals for the Cavs to get Love since day one, although it's clearly speculation that something is in the works. Having said that, it's hard to think of another reason Bennett's agent would make such a move, so let the speculation begin.

The Suns' relationship with restricted FA Eric Bledsoe is "on the verge of [being] irreparable," according to Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com.

Bledsoe said last week that the Suns were using the rules of restricted free agency against him by scaring off other teams and lowering his market value. Bledsoe wants a max five-year contract but the Suns haven't offered him more than $48 million over four years, and their ability to match any offer sheet has dissuaded other teams from tying up their finances with a lucrative offer sheet. This may still have a happy ending, and ultimately the Suns can keep him whether or not he wants to stay in Phoenix.

The Memphis Grizzlies have removed the interim tag from Chris Wallace and have officially named him as their general manager.

Wallace will now begin a search for an assistant general manager to groom as his eventual successor. The Houston Rockets had success hiring a general-manager-in-waiting with Daryl Morey and the Grizzlies will hope to duplicate this success with Wallace and his yet-to-be-name right-hand man.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said that Derrick Rose (knee surgery) looked explosive at Team USA's training camp.

Rose has already received rave reviews from Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski and Bulls' head coach Tom Thibodeau joined the mix on Monday. "The same [speed and explosiveness]. The strength in his leg is great. His explosion is back. That’s all there," said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, who is serving as a USA assistant to Krzyzewski. Rose still has a long way to go in proving he's healthy, but he'll be a steal in fantasy drafts this fall if his knee holds up all season.

The NBA Players Association voted to make litigator Michele Roberts their next Executive Director late Monday night.

32 of 34 player reps and Executive Committee members voted Roberts in with a two-thirds vote being the mark to hit. She is the first woman to lead a major pro sports union and she enters the position with some controversy internally, as there were plenty reports of discord within the ranks as Roberts and two other candidates presented to the membership prior to the vote. The current Executive Committee for the players has proven to be borderline dysfunctional and we've seen flashes of that even with Billy Hunter out of the picture. In the sake of fair play we hope Roberts can keep the players from being run out of the gym again during a potential lockout in 2017.

Blake Griffin withdrew from Team USA camp to rest a small fracture in his back, which is not believed to be serious.

We're not going to tell you not to get worried about a fracture in anybody's back, but owners should exercise a bit of discretion before assigning any long-term concern to this. The injury reportedly isn't serious and it occurred during the playoffs, which may explain some of the (relative) lack of explosion he showed against the Thunder. ESPN's Ramona Shelburne adds that Griffin should make a "full recovery."

Mike Malone confirmed that Darren Collison will start at point guard on Opening Night.

This isn't surprising but it's the first we've seen that Collison is indeed the man. Ray McCallum is going to push Collison right from the jump but there are a lot of people in the front office that want Collison to look good and he'll likely start off at 30 mpg. From there, if McCallum can unseat Collison it won't take very much to allow a changing of the guard. In any event, Collison profiles as a late round pick at best right now.
