Nikola Vucevic posted 25 points, 21 rebounds and four assists in Wednesday's loss to the Heat.

At this time last year, Vucevic was languishing on the Sixers' bench behind the likes of Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes. Now he's dominating the Heat and forcing coverage from LeBron James. This is Vucevic's second 20-rebound game of the year and he's now averaging 11.3 boards per night to go with 12.2 points. At just 22 years old, the future with this true 7-footer is really bright. The best asset in the Andrew Bynum/Andre Iguodala trade turned out to be Vucevic.

John Wall (knee) has undergone a successful procedure on both of his knees, according to the Washington Wizards.

Wall's procedure was to excise calcific deposits in his left patella tendon in order to eliminate pain and he will begin the rehabilitation process immediately."I am determined to lead this team back to the playoffs and getting healthy is the best way for me to accomplish that," said Wall. "I can promise the fans, my teammates and the organization that I will be focused on that goal throughout the summer and it will drive me to do everything I can to be ready for next season." Wall also underwent an arthroscopic lavage on his right knee in order to remove loose bodies, according to the team, and is expected to be available for the start of the 2016-17 season.

The Pacers have decided not to bring back Frank Vogel as the team's head coach.

Pacers president Larry Bird wants more offense from his squad and has decided to move on from Vogel. While Vogel will have interest around the league, Bird said he doesn't have a candidate in mind and will conduct a wide search for Vogel's replacement.

LeBron James racked up 27 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals in just 28 minutes on Wednesday, hitting 9-of-15 shots including a 4-of-6 mark from downtown.

Tonight's game was all about 3-point shooting, but LeBron came in averaging a league-high 1.33 points per possession on post-ups during the playoffs (among qualifying players). It's an interesting wrinkle since the Hawks' defense has allowed the third-fewest points off post-ups (0.64 points per possession), behind only the Raptors and Clippers. As tonight's line reiterates, LBJ is simply too versatile to be held in check offensively during the course of a seven-game series.

The Cavaliers set an all-time NBA record with 25 made 3-pointers during Wednesday's lopsided Game 2 victory, aided by J.R. Smith's 23 points and 7-of-13 shooting from downtown.

The Cavs opened tonight's game with a 3-point avalanche, hitting a postseason-record 18 triples in the first half alone, with six of them coming from Smith. He wound up 8-of-14 from the field with two rebounds and two steals in just 28 minutes of action, and could have had an even bigger line if the game weren't wrapped up by halftime. Smith tweaked his groin during Game 4 vs. the Pistons but his status for the second round was never in doubt, and tonight's eruption confirms that he's feeling fine.

Mike D'Antoni will reportedly interview for the Rockets' head coach position this week.

D'Antoni is currently an 'associate head coach' with the 76ers and it's not surprising to see him in the mix for the up-tempo Rockets' head coaching gig. Houston has also talked to Sam Cassell and current assistant Chris Finch, and they're reportedly interested in Frank Vogel if he's fired by the Pacers. It's a wide-ranging search and more candidates' names are sure to surface in the coming days.

Rockets interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff has reportedly informed team officials that he's not a candidate for Houston's head coach position.

Team owner Les Alexander and GM Daryl Morey recently met with Bickerstaff, in addition to current assistant coach Chris Finch and Clippers assistant Sam Cassell. Jeff Van Gundy is reportedly still high on their list, which could extend to more than a dozen candidates. Other potential coaches include Jeff Hornacek and Hornets assistant Stephen Silas.

The Heat ruled out Chris Bosh for the remainder of the postseason, according to a team statement.

The statement said the team, Bosh, doctors and medical staff have been working together through this process. Bosh has reportedly been trying to get clearance, including seeing other doctors to do so. However, the team likely feels there is just too much risk involved here. It'll be Luol Deng manning the power forward spot the rest of the way this year. Bosh's status for next year is undetermined.

Hassan Whiteside said that while his strained right knee bothered him throughout Tuesday's Game 1 win, he doesn't anticipate the injury forcing him to miss any time.

"The first five seconds, I was extremely worried, but as I stood up, the pain went away," Whiteside said. "It bothered me throughout the game, but I’m a tough dude so I had to go out there and play. I couldn’t let my guys down." Whiteside briefly exited Game 1 after an awkward fall, but he quickly returned to the court and ended up logging 39 minutes. He may sit out Wednesday's practice as a precaution, but he should be fine for Game 2 on Thursday.
May 4 - 10:19 AM

Dwyane Wade said that he believes his left knee will be "fine" for Thursday's Game 2 in Toronto.

"I hit the bone and I’m sure it’s bruised," Wade said. "I’ll be fine. I’ve played with it before, so I will do it again." Wade banged the inside of his left knee during the closing minutes of the fourth quarter of Game 1's overtime win, but he played through it, and it would be surprising to see the injury force him to miss any time.

Stephen Curry said on Tuesday that he underwent a platelet-rich plasma treatment on his sprained right knee as part of his recovery process.

PRP injections have been shown to speed up the recovery process, and Curry reportedly underwent the treatment one day after initially suffering the injury. The Dubs are hopeful that Curry will be able to get back on the court for either Saturday's Game 3 or Monday's Game 4, and we'll have a better idea on his status following Thursday's practice. However, given that the Dubs are currently up 2-0 in their second-round series, it wouldn't be surprising to see Curry spend at least one more game on the sidelines.
May 4 - 9:05 AM

Damian Lillard (chest cold) looked much better in Tuesday's Game 2 loss to the Warriors, scoring 25 points on 8-of-20 shooting with six assists, four boards, two steals and six 3-pointers.

He took over the game in the third quarter with 17 points, but cooled off down the stretch and failed to score in the fourth quarter. To be fair, the whole Portland team cooled off as they scored just 12 points in the fourth compared to 34 by Golden State. The Blazers have lost the first two games but will try to get back on track with the series shifting to Portland for Game 3 on Saturday.
