Brandon Jennings had 18 points, 12 assists, a steal and five 3-pointers on 6-of-12 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.

Jennings is back in full effect, averaging a ridiculous 16 points, 16 assists, nearly two steals and three 3-pointers over his last three games, while J.J. Redick (three points) has cooled off after a hot start for his new team. Monta Ellis was great again with 22 points and six assists, and Jennings and Ellis are the two Milwaukee guards you want to be starting on your fantasy team right now.

Kobe Bryant said on Wednesday that he wants Byron Scott to coach the Lakers.

Kobe usually gets what he wants, so the hiring of Scott should probably be in short order. Scott has been the favorite all along and few other candidates have really made any sort of splash.

Restricted free agent Chandler Parsons and the Mavericks have reached agreement on three-year offer sheet worth in excess of $45 million, according to ESPN.com.

He will sign the deal early Thursday and the Rockets will have three days to match. The Rockets will certainly be hoping LeBron James makes his decision, which will then dictate how Chris Bosh will make his move. Parsons was fantastic in the Rockets' system and his skill set would be maximized in Houston. Yes, this means Parsons will make more money than Dirk Nowitzki. The third year is a player option.

The Cavaliers are pursuing a Kevin Love trade with the Wolves, contingent on the signing of LeBron James, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

It's one thing to pursue a trade, it's another to make it. The Cavs have a lot of speculation surrounding their team right now, but adding Kevin Love to LeBron makes sense considering they'd need some help up front. The Cavs would almost certainly have to give up Andrew Wiggins to make this deal work while also getting rid of guys like Anderson Varejao.

Spurs announced on Wednesday that head coach Gregg Popovich has agreed to a multi-year contract extension.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but he'll certainly be one of the highest-paid coaches in the league. We'll get a few more years masterfully designed offense and classic sound bytes from one of the best coaches in the history of the NBA. The Spurs were ridiculously efficient last season and his system has boosted the fantasy values of countless players.

The Knicks "have not yet been apprised" that Carmelo Anthony has decided to re-sign with them, according to CBS Sports.

In other words, the NY Daily News' report of Anthony re-signing is a scoop. Frank Isola has been all over the Knicks and has enough credibility to give his report a ton of weight. There is unlikely to be an official announcement until Thursday, but we'll see if other teams kick the tires on deals following this news.

Carmelo Anthony will re-sign with the Knicks "barring a last minute change of heart," according to the NY Daily News.

The report adds Anthony had been "agonizing over this" for the past week. "He will have something for everybody on Thursday," an anonymous friend of Anthony said. "He is really torn because this is the biggest decision of his career. But he wants to get it done in New York. He told me he believes in Phil." The Knicks are likely going to have a tough time winning a title this season because of the contracts of Amare Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani, but things will get better next year. Hopefully this news becomes official and more free agents can agree on deals. Additionally, Yahoo! reported just minutes following this news that Anthony's circle believes it's always possible to ask for a trade later.

There has been "communication flowing" between Chris Bosh's camp and the Rockets on Wednesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The report adds Houston would be a landing spot for Bosh should LeBron James not return to Miami. Bosh has made it clear he'd like to play with LeBron, but that scenario has become more unlikely. He may be a bigger part of the offense in Houston compared to Miami, but he isn't likely to see a big boost in fantasy value just because of his tremendous efficiency while with the Heat. Specifically, he's set a career high in true shooting percentage in each of his last two seasons, posting a sterling 59.7 percent last year.

By trading Jarrett Jack, Tyler Zeller and Sergey Karasev on Wednesday, the Cavaliers cleared enough cap space to offer LeBron James a max contract.

The Cavs also gave up a future first-round pick to complete their cap-clearing trade, after LeBron's agent reportedly urged the Cavs to clear space for a max deal in recent days. The stage is now set for LBJ to choose between signing with the Heat or the Cavaliers, the two teams believed to be his finalists. James is scheduled to meet with the Heat on Wednesday afternoon, but there have been no indications of when he might announce his decision.
Jul 9 - 11:09 AM

The Celtics traded for Nets guard Marcus Thornton on Wednesday, and they'll also get Cavaliers C Tyler Zeller and a first-round pick in the bargain.

Thornton is owed $8.6 million in the final season of his contract, a steep price-tag relative to his production, but Boston GM Danny Ainge did well to pile up another young big man and a future first-round pick. Avery Bradley is the unquestioned starting SG for the Celtics but they do need a reliable backup, so Thornton should reprise his role as a gunner off the bench.
Jul 9 - 10:37 AM

The Nets are on the verge of acquiring Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack in a three-team trade, with Marcus Thornton and Tyler Zeller going to the Celtics.

The Nets will also acquire F Sergey Karasev from Cleveland, and Boston will pick up a first-round draft pick for helping to facilitate the deal. The Cavs' incentive is ridding themselves of Jack's remaining $12.6 million over two years, giving them the necessary salary-cap space for a max offer to LeBron James. They'll also get a second-round pick from Boston. Jack may start at shooting guard if the Nets opt to use a small lineup again next season, or he may backup both PG and SG as a primary reserve. The 30-year-old veteran is coming off a down season in Cleveland and the change of scenery should do him good.
Jul 9 - 10:27 AM

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Jazz were prepared for Gordon Hayward to receive a max-offer and still plan on matching Charlotte's offer.

Hayward will sign a four-year, $63 million offer sheet with the Hornets, but it sounds like the Jazz are fully prepared to match. They don't have a lot of other places to put their money and the former Butler Bulldog will now make more money than several NBA stars, regardless of where he's playing. If he left Utah, Alec Burks and rookie Rodney Hood would see a big boost, but it doesn't sound like that's going to happen.
