Amare Stoudemire will have a right knee debridement and is expected to miss six weeks.

An MRI revealed that he had a cyst burst and it will require surgery. STAT had a left knee debridgement earlier this year for a similar cyst problem, which was the same knee that had microfracture surgery in 2005, but this procedure will be to the other knee. STAT's regular season is essentially over with less than six weeks in the season and he can be dropped in almost all leagues. The Knicks will have to go with a smaller lineup again and Tyson Chandler may have to run more pick-and-rolls instead of crashing the boards. Carmelo Anthony will likely play more power forward once he's back in the lineup. Jason Kidd gets a little bit more of a boost with the Knicks having to resort to small ball while Steve Novak could also pick up some extra minutes.

Tyson Chandler hauled in a season-high 25 rebounds on Wednesday, while making 7-of-12 shots to finish with 17 points, one steal and two blocks in 43 minutes vs. the Knicks.

Chandler was three boards shy of his career high and New York simply had no answer for him in the paint. "You can't always try to outscore the other team every single night," Chandler said before the game. "Some nights, you're going to rely on your defense." He did it all in this game, grabbing 10 of his boards on the offensive end, and he's been an absolute steal for fantasy owners through the Mavs' first 16 games.

No Williams (illness) will travel with the Wolves for their upcoming West Coast trip.

Considering he has pink eye and strep throat -- two highly contagious illnesses -- Williams figures to play on Friday against the Lakers. There's not much of a reason to pick up Zach LaVine for that game.
Nov 26 - 10:55 PM

Jamal Crawford's hot streak continued on Wednesday as he came off the bench for a team-high 25 points on 8-of-16 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs.

Three of Crawford's makes came from downtown, and he chipped in three boards, four assists, two steals and a block to round out a phenomenal fantasy line. His 44.5 percent shooting would be the third-highest mark in his 15-year career, and he's paying off in a big way for fantasy owners who snagged him in the late rounds.
Nov 26 - 10:52 PM

D.J. Augustin made his second straight start on Wednesday, finishing a loss to the Clippers with 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, six assists and three turnovers.

Augustin played 35 minutes in another fill-in start for Brandon Jennings, who remains day-to-day with a sprained thumb. This was easily D.J.'s best and most complete game of the season, and it's hard to recommend him as a pickup considering Jennings could return as soon as Friday's home game vs. Milwaukee.
Nov 26 - 10:49 PM

Andre Drummond piled up 17 points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 38 minutes during a tough loss to the Clippers on Wednesday, making 6-of-11 FGs and 5-of-9 FTs.

The Pistons as a team came in shooting a putrid 41.3 percent from the field, and they were without the services of starting PG Brandon Jennings again tonight. Drummond has been one of the biggest culprits, as his typically stellar FG percentage has fallen to 43.4 percent this year, but he's turned things around by shooting a combined 17-of-26 (65.4 percent) in Detroit's past two games. This was also his first game of the season with at least four combined steals and blocks, and fantasy owners' patience is beginning to pay off.
Nov 26 - 10:48 PM

Eric Bledsoe went to the locker room in the third quarter of Wednesday's game against the Nuggets and has returned.

He looked to land on his hip and hobbled back to the locker room under his own power. Bledsoe was down for a very long time, so it was nice to see him get back out there. He exited with 15 points, one rebound, seven assists, three steals and two turnovers. Stay tuned. If he's out, Isaiah Thomas (ankle) and Gerald Green would get bumps.
Nov 26 - 10:46 PM

Danilo Gallinari will not return to Wednesday's game due to left knee soreness.

Gallinari's left knee is the one that required surgeries for a torn ACL as well as meniscus damage, so this is a particularly worrisome update. With any luck his absence is purely a precaution, and we'll pass along updates as soon as possible. Wilson Chandler has been playing well as the Nuggets' starting SF and Gallinari's shaky health is one more reason to hang onto Chandler.
Nov 26 - 10:29 PM

K.J. McDaniels played down the stretch in his 33 minutes of action against the Nets on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 18 points with six rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers on 7-of-15 from the field.

The 33 minutes were a career high and he's played at least 27 minutes in three of his last four. McDaniels is playing better help defense and his shot selection is improving (more dunks), but he is still a little lazy on fouling and boxing out. His patient fantasy owners might start seeing dividends soon.
Nov 26 - 10:10 PM

Tony Wroten tweaked his ankle in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss against the Nets, finishing with 18 points, two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and eight turnovers in 35 minutes.

He was able to play through the ankle tweak for the last couple minutes, but it was pretty clear he wasn't 100 percent. Considering the amount of players dealing with swelling in their ankles and missing time, his owners will want to keep an eye on him for Saturday against the Mavericks. He made 6-of-18 from the field tonight and 6-of-8 from the line, so that and eight turnovers gives him a 34.3 usage rate. The negatives are outweighing the positives in standard leagues.
Nov 26 - 10:03 PM

Michael Carter-Williams made 1-of-9 from the field for four points with six rebounds, eight assists, one block, one 3-pointer and three turnovers before fouling out in 27 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday.

His shooting is just awful and he's down to 34.4 percent on the season. At least he only attempted nine shots, which is a season low and way below his 16.1 per game. Carter-Williams is doing plenty in the other categories, but his misses and turnovers have destroyed his value in standard leagues. He's not showing any indication of getting better either.
Nov 26 - 9:48 PM

The Blazers extended their league-best winning streak to nine games on Wednesday, aided by Wesley Matthews' season-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including six 3-pointers.

Matthews is averaging 2.4 triples per game despite shooting a career-low 34.4 percent beyond the arc. There's room for improvement, in other words, but he's still been a reliable top-75 fantasy value through Portland's first 15 games.
