Shaun Livingston will start at PG for the Cavaliers against the Wizards on Tuesday, as expected.

Dion Waiters will serve double duty as the Cavs' starting SG and backup PG, and it sounds like Daniel Gibson will also return to the rotation. "Each guy has to pick it up a little bit more," said Byron Scott. "We'll have to do it by committee. It's as simple as that. The core of our rotation is Shaun and Dion and Boobie, so we'll see how it works."

Kelly Olynyk made it through a full practice on Saturday, and while he did say his ankle is feeling better, he wasn't ready to commit to returning to action just yet.

He remains questionable to play against the Warriors on Sunday, but this is definitely a good sign that he is getting closer to a return. Olynyk should be stashed in most leagues considering Jared Sullinger (foot) is out for the season, while Brandon Bass, Tyler Zeller and Jonas Jerebko will all see their playing time take a hit when Olynyk does return.

Dwight Howard (knee) has not yet progressed to on-court activities, and he is still limited to swimming, weight lifting and running on a weight-controlled treadmill.

He has been sidelined since Jan. 25 due to his ailing knee, and this report suggests that he still has a long way to go in his recovery. He is scheduled to have several MRI's in the coming week, so we should be able to provide an additional update on his timetable soon. With fantasy playoffs just around the corner, Howard's owners may need to evaluate their options. Terrence Jones has been on fire for the Rockets, and he will continue to be the primary beneficiary for the foreseeable future. Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith are locked into larger roles as well.

Kyrie Irving (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Rockets.

An MRI taken on his shoulder reportedly came back clean, and he is said to be dealing with a minor strain. We will know more on his status after shootaround Sunday morning, so his owners will want to be on alert for an update. If Kyrie sits, Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova will see increased minutes in the backcourt.
Feb 28 - 12:34 PM

Tyson Chandler (hip) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Nets according to head coach Rick Carlisle.

Chandler wasn't able to play on Wednesday vs. the Hawks, but the good news was that he made it through a full practice on Friday. His owners will have to check back prior to tip-off before activating him in lineups, but he would still be a must-start option even if he is not 100 percent. Bernard James scored seven points with 11 rebounds and two blocks against the Hawks, and he would be the primary beneficiary if Chandler sits this one out.
Feb 28 - 12:01 PM

Head coach Randy Wittman left open the possibility of Bradley Beal (leg) playing on Saturday against the Pistons.

Normally Beal would be required to make it through a full practice before returning, but coach Wittman said that it was not mandatory in order for Beal to play. "We’ll see in these next couple days," Wittman said before Friday's game against the 76ers. "He’s been going through simulations with all our players. All the hard running and stuff that needs to be done and then you check to make sure there’s no lingering effect the next day." We should know more on Beal's status closer to tip-off, so owners will want to check back for an update. Garrett Temple, Rasual Butler and Otto Porter will continue to see increased roles if Beal remains sidelined.
Feb 28 - 9:16 AM

Ersan Ilyasova scored 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 6-of-8 FTs) with 12 rebounds and one steal in Friday's loss to the Lakers.

Ilyasova has been a top 70-100 value (9/8 cat) in his last four games, a sample that has more or less been his ceiling this season. Perhaps he's ready to turn over a new leaf, but realistically he can't be considered more than a flier pickup until he shows us a bit more.
Feb 28 - 4:42 AM

Eric Gordon scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting (including four threes) with one rebound and eight assists in the Pelicans' 104-102 win over the Heat on Friday.

The Pelicans aren't falling out of contention in the playoff chase and Gordon is a big reason why. He's been a top 50-75 guy (8/9 cat) over the last month or so and that'll probably be the case until (if) Jrue Holiday returns. Tyreke Evans added 19 points, three boards, 11 assists, one trey and five turnovers in the win.
Feb 28 - 3:44 AM

Alexis Ajinca scored a career-high 24 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 9-of-10 shots with eight rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes.

Ajinca also hit the game's final, deciding shot and he's looking pretty automatic whenever 20-30 mpg clears up. Anthony Davis could be back in the next week or so and Ryan Anderson is about two weeks behind Davis on a timetable. In the meantime, Ajinca should be owned by somebody in your league.
Feb 28 - 3:38 AM

Terrence Jones scored a season-high 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting (no threes) with 12 rebounds and one block in the Rockets' 102-98 win over the Nets on Friday.

Jones hit all four of his free throws and he's been a stud since the All Star break with top 25-35 value in his last four contests. Trevor Ariza also had a great night with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including five threes), five boards and two steals in the win.
Feb 28 - 3:22 AM

Damian Lillard scored 29 points during a 115-112 win over the Thunder on Friday with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

He put up a bit of an under-the-radar month. In his nine February games, Lillard averaged 20.7 points, 4.4 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 treys on 47.1 percent from the field and 83.7 percent from the line. He actually struggled with his jumper this month, but shooting a sterling 83.7 percent at the rim carried him. The All-Star still has room for improvement.
Feb 28 - 3:04 AM

Jimmy Butler scored 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting (6-of-7 FTs) with 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in the Bulls' 96-89 win over the Wolves on Friday.

Butler did not hit a three but who cares when he's putting up numbers like these. He has returned top 6-12 value (9/8 cat) on a per-game basis this season and with Derrick Rose out of the picture for the most part he could theoretically improve on that.
