Kobe Bryant (ankle) is doubtful to play vs. the Kings on Sunday.

Kobe tried to play through pain on Friday but he only lasted 12 minutes, and we're considering him questionable to return for Monday's road game in Phoenix, after which the Lakers don't play until Friday. Kobe's injury leaves fantasy owners in a bind, especially with L.A. heading into a two-game week.

Stephen Curry popped off for 44 points on 14-of-19 shooting in Thursday's 134-127 win over the Clippers, adding eight triples, nine dimes, six boards, two steals and four turnovers in 36 minutes.

The Dubs got off to an incredible start in this one, and Curry had his #StephGonSteph moment early, draining a halfcourt shot at the buzzer to end the first quarter of action. He was also a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe, giving him a remarkable 94.2 true shooting percentage on the evening to accompany his 33.1 usage rate, and it looks like Steph has a decent chance of putting together yet another 50-40-90 season.

LeBron James racked up 32 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals in a tough loss vs. the Wizards on Thursday.

LBJ sank 13-of-18 field goals tonight, with one 3-pointer, but that was the extent of the Cavs' offensive efficiency -- his teammates shot a combined 29-of-66 from the field (43.9%). Cleveland's revamped lineup had won five straight prior to this loss, but the No. 3 seed Cavs are still just 2.5 games ahead of the No. 6 seed Bucks. With home-court advantage in the playoffs at stake, LeBron's fantasy value looks rock-solid.

Tomas Satoransky was terrific during Thursday's win in Cleveland, scoring 17 points on 6-of-7 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws in 31 minutes.

The 26-year-old guard added eight assists, four rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer without a single turnover. John Wall (knee surgery) recently got off crutches but he's unlikely to return before mid- to late-March, giving Satoransky at least a few weeks of unfettered minutes as the Wizards' starting PG. He's quietly emerged as one of the best waiver-wire additions this season, with past-month averages of 10.5 points (55.7% FGs, 100.0% FTs), 1.4 triples, 2.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks.

Joel Embiid filled it up during a 116-115 win over the Bulls on Thursday, scoring 30 points with 13 rebounds, five assists, three steals, four blocks, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Hello, Mr. Process. This was about as close to a 5x5 as he's been in his career. Embiid's minutes were starting to trend down earlier this month at just 29.7 in his previous February games, so getting up to 35 makes it seem like he could be closer to the 32.5 per game he played back in January. The 76ers are rolling with a six-game winning streak and they now have a 98 percent chance to make the playoffs, per FiveThirtyEight.com. The 76ers also have one of the easiest remaining schedules in the NBA, so playoff fever in Philly looks like it'll go beyond February.

Ben Simmons scored a career-high 32 points with seven rebounds, 11 assists, one steal, one block and two turnovers in 34 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday.

He was very good from the field at 13-of-18, but he did make just 6-of-11 from the line. His free throw shooting has been an Achilles heel, but he knocked down two huge ones with six seconds left to help the 76ers earn their sixth straight win. Plus, coach Fred Hoiberg said the Bulls wanted to foul Simmons on the previous possession, but the 76ers got the ball to J.J. Redick, who made both with eight second left. Simmons and Joel Embiid play very well off each other and the sky is the limit with this duo.
Feb 22 - 11:01 PM

Bobby Portis went berserk off the bench against the 76ers on Thursday, scoring a career-high 38 points with eight rebounds, two assists and six 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Those 3-pointers were a career-high and he only turned the ball over one time while taking a whopping 26 shots from the field. Portis is likely going to stay on the bench for the foreseeable future, but that's OK as this gem ranks second for points off the bench in a single game behind 6MOY favorite Lou Williams (40, twice). Portis needs to be owned in all leagues.
Feb 22 - 10:48 PM

David Nwaba scored a career-high 21 points during a start with nine rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, three 3-pointers and six fouls in 33 minutes against the 76ers on Thursday.

Not a bad line before fouling out. Nwaba also played his usual hard-nosed defense and he helped set the tempo for the Bulls in transition. We've seen him heat up before and coach Fred Hoiberg trusts him against top-notch perimeter players, so the minutes should be there for him. We don't know if Justin Holiday is going to be a DNP-CD the rest of the way, so Nwaba is more of a look in standard leagues.
Feb 22 - 10:38 PM

Trey Burke scored a season-high 26 points on Thursday, knocking down 12-of-22 shots with two 3-pointers, six assists, four rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover in 30 minutes.

It looks like Jarrett Jack might be out of the rotation for good, which leaves Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay, Frank Ntilikina and Courtney Lee to handle the backcourt. Mudiay played 23 minutes as a starter tonight, while Ntilikina logged 30 minutes, and the most encouraging sign is that New York went with a lot of two-PG lineups. This will likely be the high-water mark for his fantasy value all season, and we're not overreacting to one big game vs. a poor Magic defense, but deep-league owners can consider him as a speculative add.
Feb 22 - 10:03 PM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) made his long-awaited return on Thursday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with two 3-pointers, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 24 minutes.

Vuc was on a minute-limit tonight but patient owners must be delighted with the initial returns. The Magic are among the teams likely tanking for draft-lottery position, which could pose a threat to Vuc's role down the stretch, but for now his starting gig and minutes look safe. He'll get a day to rest before squaring off vs. Joel Embiid in Philly on Saturday.
Feb 22 - 9:57 PM

Aaron Gordon (hip) returned to action on Thursday with nine points on 3-of-9 shooting, five rebounds, five assists, two 3-pointers and one block.

Gordon played 25 minutes and might be limited for a few more games, but it's encouraging that the All-Star break was enough for him to fully recover. He bumped Mario Hezonja to the bench and should reclaim his usual 32+ minutes before long. Now owners just have to hope he regains his shooting touch -- his FG percentage has dropped every month this season, to a low of 35.4% in January.
Feb 22 - 9:54 PM

Kemba Walker scored 31 points with seven assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Nets on Thursday.

Coach Steve Clifford did use Michael Carter-Williams as a secondary ball-handler, so maybe the Hornets are slightly trying to dial back Walker's workload. Either way, he's a capable off-ball player, he did get to 35 minutes and he'll be a fantasy stud as long as he's in the lineup.
