James Johnson (personal) didn't play on Tuesday, and he's still away from the team.

Johnson is out indefinitely until further notice and has no relevance in fantasy leagues.

Mo Williams torched the Pacers for 24 points and 10 assists in Sunday's road loss, making 10-of-16 shots with two 3-pointers, two rebounds and three turnovers.

He did his damage in 32 minutes off the bench and should have a clear path to fantasy value until Ricky Rubio returns from his severely sprained ankle. With Rubio unable to practice and no clear return date in sight, owners should roll with Williams into the New Year.

Zach LaVine's downward trajectory continued on Sunday with nine points, one rebound, two assists and one steal in 16 minutes vs. the Pacers.

He started the game but quickly ceded the court to Mo Williams, who finished with a team-high 24 points off the bench. A healthy Williams is enough reason to avoid LaVine, whose outlook should get even bleaker with Ricky Rubio (ankle) targeting a January return.
Dec 21 - 10:31 PM

Russell Westbrook dropped 29 points on 10-of-27 shooting in Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, adding eight assists, five boards and three steals in 35 minutes.

He was criticized for not passing the ball enough during Sunday's loss, but it is tough to blame him given how well he has played this season. "When we won eight in a row nobody said nothing about not passing," Westbrook said. "so I don't want to hear it now." Westbrook has been playing at an MVP level, and he has earned the right to shoot at will, especially with Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined. Expect Westbrook to answer his critics and take out his frustration against Portland on Tuesday.
Dec 21 - 10:30 PM

Serge Ibaka's struggles continued on Sunday in a loss to the Pelicans, as he finished with just six points on 2-of-8 shooting to go with eight boards in 38 minutes.

Remember when the Thunder opted to keep Serge Ibaka over James Harden? Well it doesn't seem like it worked out too great for them as Ibaka has regressed in a big way this season. To be fair, he was matched up against Anthony Davis Sunday, but he has lacked consistency all season. Hopefully Ibaka gets it turned around at some point, but the buy-low window is still wide open after this showing.
Dec 21 - 10:20 PM

Mason Plumlee made franchise history on Sunday, scoring 21 points on 9-of-10 FGs with 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in only 33 minutes of action vs. Detroit.

Plumlee thus became the first Nets player since 1987 to record 20+ points and 10+ rebounds while shooting at least 90 percent from the field. He was inexplicably awful to begin the season, missing point-blank shots on a nightly basis, but he's returned the form as a starter in Brook Lopez's absence over the past seven games. With Lopez's return date still up in the air, Plumlee is a solid source of scoring, rebounds, blocks, and especially field goal percentages -- he's a combined 45-of-66 (68.2 percent) over the past six games.
Dec 21 - 10:16 PM

Anthony Davis dropped an impressive 38 points on 16-of-22 shooting in a win over the Thunder on Sunday, adding 12 boards, two assists, one steal and three blocks in 37 minutes.

He feasted on Serge Ibaka the entire game, and the Thunder simply had no answer for him on either end of the court. Davis has been phenomenal this season, and if he can manage to stay healthy, he will continue to stake his claim as the No.1 option in fantasy basketball.
Dec 21 - 10:01 PM

Marcin Gortat played just 20 minutes in a loss to the Suns on Sunday, finishing with nine points, seven boards and two blocks.

He deserves a pass here and the Wizards just decided to go with the hot hand in Kevin Seraphin off of the bench. Gortat has been a double-double machine for the Wizards this season, and should bounce-back against the Bulls on Tuesday. Keep Gortat locked into all lineups, and expect him to play big minutes against the imposing frontcourt of Chicago.
Dec 21 - 9:43 PM

Tobias Harris injured his finger in Sunday's embarrassing defeat to the 76ers, finishing with 17 points, four boards, four assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

He was spotted with a wrap on his right hand, and he is said to have hurt his pinkie. However, his finger can't be hurting as bad as his ego after that loss, and Harris acknowledged that his team needs to be much better. "People pay good money to bring their families to the games," Harris said. "And we’re not even putting on a good enough show for them." We will update Harris' status as needed moving forward, but the good news is that it doesn't appear serious enough to keep him out of action. Stay tuned.
Dec 21 - 9:35 PM

Marcus Smart made his first NBA start on Sunday, scoring three points with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and two turnovers in 28 minutes vs. the Heat.

He shot 1-of-4 from the field with all of his attempts coming from beyond the arc. Growing pains are inevitable, but the Celtics' decision to trade Rajon Rondo sets up Smart for a solid rookie season despite the arrival of Jameer Nelson. Smart is worth a speculative pickup in most leagues, if only for his upside in 3-pointers, assists and steals.
Dec 21 - 9:24 PM

Tyler Zeller led the Celtics with 22 points in Sunday's road loss, making 10-of-15 shots with eight rebounds and two blocks in only 25 minutes.

He wasn't in foul trouble and tonight's excellent production may be misleading -- the Celtics have enough frontcourt options to threaten Zeller's fantasy value. The good news is that he's on a roll since overtaking Kelly Olynyk (13 points in 28 minutes) as a starter, so he's at least worth deploying until he cools off.
Dec 21 - 9:18 PM

Kobe Bryant shot just 8-of-30 in Sunday's loss to the Kings, adding five boards, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

If you thought the shooting was bad enough, Bryant managed to turn the ball over nine times and was clearly lumbering around the court. Bryant is without a doubt fatigued, and coach Byron Scott actually hinted that he might opt to rest him for a game soon. Owners may want to sell-high if they still can, because the Lakers are quickly heading for another lost season.
