Arron Afflalo was "in a lot of pain" after a hamstring injury knocked him out of Friday's game against the Thunder.

The comment is from teammate Jameer Nelson, and it lends credibility to the idea that Afflalo could miss some time. Beno Udrih stepped up with 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes in his absence, and is worth a hard look as a short-term, speculative add with some upside. The Magic have two four-game weeks in front of them followed by a two-game stinker in the last meaningful week.

Vince Carter will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Raptors.

Dec 17 - 3:06 PM

C.J. Miles (shoulder) will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Kings.

This will be Miles first start in a Raptors' uniform and he'll be joined by Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, OG Anunoby and Jonas Valanciunas in what will be a small ball lineup against the Kings. At the very least, Miles should be able to see his minutes in the mid-20s tonight, so he's someone to think about as a 3-point streamer in deep leagues.
Dec 17 - 3:01 PM

Shelvin Mack will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pistons.

Mack will slide into the starting five with Evan Fournier (ankle) unavailable and he'll be joined by Elfrid Payton, Jonathon Simmons, Mario Hezonja and Nikola Vucevic. In two starts this season, Mack has compiled averages of 4.5 points, 8.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game on 21.4% shooting, so he's not much more than a low-end punt play in daily leagues.
Dec 17 - 2:51 PM

Jonathan Isaac (ankle) will play Sunday vs. the Pistons.

Isaac hasn't played since Nov. 11, so he'll be limited to just 15 minutes today, thus limiting his appeal in daily leagues. That said, if he's able to get fully up to speed prior to the return of Aaron Gordon (ankle) and Evan Fournier (ankle), he could be looking at a decent amount of minutes in Orlando, so he's definitely on the radar in deep leagues for his upside in the hustle stats.
Dec 17 - 2:44 PM

James Johnson has been diagnosed with right ankle bursitis and he's expected to miss the next 7-10 days of action.

Johnson will not be traveling with the team on their upcoming two-game road trip, and this timetable will have him out of commission for the next 4-6 games. With Johnson unavailable, guys like Josh Richardson, Dion Waiters, Wayne Ellington and Jordan Mickey will be asked to pick up the slack, and both Ellington and Mickey could be worth an add in deep leagues.
Dec 17 - 2:37 PM

Avery Bradley (groin) will be a game-time call for Sunday's game against the Magic.

Bradley sat out Friday's game with this groin issue, and there haven't been any reports of him getting through practice, so he appears to be closer to doubtful than anything else. If he is forced to watch from the sidelines, Luke Kennard would be in line for another start and there would be more minutes available for Langston Galloway. Stay tuned.
Dec 17 - 2:23 PM

Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder.

He tweaked his ankle on Friday and is now in danger of missing Monday's game, but we'll have a better idea on his playing status after shootaround. If he's out, Jamal Murray will pick up some extra minutes and Will Barton could see some increased opportunity as a creator in the second unit. Stay tuned.
Dec 17 - 2:19 PM

Serge Ibaka will not play on Sunday vs. the Kings due to a sore left knee.

He's missed one game with left knee soreness this season and one for right knee soreness as well, so maybe the Raptors are just giving him the night off against the tanking Kings. It also helps that the Kings are resting Zach Randolph. With Ibaka out, Pascal Siakam is the favorite to start and is averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 steals in four previous starts this season.
Dec 17 - 1:50 PM

Trevor Booker (ankle) will miss Monday's game vs. the Bulls and Tuesday's game vs. the Kings.

Booker will be re-evaluated in 5-7 days, so it sounds likely that he could miss Thursday's game vs. Toronto as well. With Joel Embiid resting on Monday, Richaun Holmes is worth a long look as a streaming option. Dario Saric and Amir Johnson could see a bump in minutes as well.
Dec 17 - 1:31 PM

Joel Embiid (rest, back tightness) will not play on Monday vs. the Bulls.

He played a career-high 49 minutes in Friday's triple overtime rest and joked that he would need a year of rest, but he's expected to play on Tuesday vs. the Kings. With Embiid and Trevor Booker (ankle) out on Monday, Richaun Holmes will be a solid streaming option and we should see more of Dario Saric and Amir Johnson.
Dec 17 - 1:28 PM

Zach Randolph is resting against the Raptors on Sunday.

The Kings have been off for a couple days and this isn't a back-to-back set, but this is what tanking teams do. The offense has been flowing through Randolph lately with 20.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals in his last five games, so it makes sense to hold onto him for now even though his rest-of-season outlook isn't great. With Z-Bo out, Skal Labissiere, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos should all get a bump, but WCS is the most reliable fantasy option by far.
