LeBron free agent suitors may be out of luck

LeBron James leaving Miami and teammate Dwayne Wade in the summer of 2014 looks fairly unlikely at this point, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Stein theorizes that the Cavs are really the only team with a shot to lure James away from a team and a city that's finally made him comfortable, while also pointing out that the friendship between James and Wade is so strong it's difficult to imagine them splitting up anytime soon. The next "Decision" had been a hot topic of late, especially before LeBron's visit to Cleveland on Wednesday, but we should point out these thoughts by Stein are likely more informed opinion than fact. At this point, we're just enjoying one of the best seasons we've seen in a very long time from a player that's about as locked in as it gets.

Dwyane Wade doesn't start second half

Dwyane Wade didn't start the second half of Tuesday's Game 6 for the Heat, but entered the game shortly after the start of the third quarter.

He banged his left knee on the knee of Manu Ginobili early in the first half, and has had issues with his right knee for some time. Either way, he's back in the game and it appears that, barring a setback, he'll be able to finish this game. The Heat announced that the exact nature of the problem won't be revealed until after the game.

Spurs - Heat: Same starters for Game 6

The Spurs and Heat are expected to use the same starting lineups for Tuesday's Game 6 as they did for Game 5.

That means Manu Ginobili is in and Tiago Splitter is out for the Spurs, while Mike Miller gets the nod for the Heat. Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan will round out the starting five for the Spurs, while Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh will start for the Heat. LeBron is actually warming up on the court (instead of in the practice gym) for the big game, which is not something he normally does.

Report: Ben McLemore out of shape at workouts

Sources tell ESPN that Kansas SG Ben McLemore was out of shape in recent workouts for the Suns and Magic.

McLemore reportedly "struggled to keep up." It's not a good look for a player whose assertiveness and motivation was already being questioned thanks to a bunch of passive games in college. McLemore is sliding down boards as the June 27 draft approaches. Chad Ford does have him going fifth to the Suns in his latest Mock.

Alvin Gentry gets second interview with Grizz

Alvin Gentry will have his second interview with the Grizzlies later this week.

The Grizz are expected to complete their search for Lionel Hollins' replacement by the end of the week. Assistant Dave Joeger is considered the front-runner, but Gentry is strongly in the mix. From a fantasy perspective, Gentry is the more desirable candidate as a proponent of free-flowing offense.

Clips killed trade due to financial concerns?

Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski says the Clippers backed out of their trade with the Celtics due in part to financial considerations.

The trade was DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks for Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers. The Clippers would have had to sign Rivers to a five-year, $35 million contract and paid a $3 million trade kicker on Jordan. The 37-year-old Garnett still has two years and $22.4 million left on his contract. They also were expected to sign Paul Pierce after he reached a buyout with the Celtics. In the end, the money coupled with the Clippers' desire to give up only one first-round pick killed the deal. They're moving forward with Brian Shaw, Byron Scott and Lionel Hollins in their coaching search.

Report: Hawks and Mavs interested in Monta

Sources tell ESPN that the Hawks and Mavericks have interest in impending free agent Monta Ellis.

Ellis has turned down a two-year extension from the Bucks and informed them he will opt out of the $11 million left in the final year of his current contract. The Hawks and Mavs will be tied to virtually every big-name free agent because they have cap space to burn, but both will attack the top tier of Chris Paul and Dwight Howard first. The Lakers also reportedly have interest, but they could only acquire Ellis if he's willing to sign for the mini mid-level exception of $3 million. They simply have no cap room.

Report: Doc Rivers unsure about Boston return

Doc Rivers is uncertain about returning to the Celtics after the deal with the Clippers fell through, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Here we go. The Celtics and Rivers "planned to reach a final resolution in the next few days," sources told Yahoo! The Celtics would welcome Rivers back as head coach, but it's difficult to imagine that could be a realistic scenario after everything that has happened. The Clippers and Celtics have had "no discussions" about rekindling the deal in another format.

Report: Clippers call off trade with Celtics

The Clippers have called off the Kevin Garnett trade with the Celtics, sources told the LA Times.

We're not ready to call the talks dead yet. It seems to be a posturing move by the Clippers in order to expedite a decision from the Celtics, but this is the latest development and it seems like the teams are moving backward rather than forward. The report has been confirmed by multiple outlets and Celtics GM Danny Ainge.

Heat contemplating lineup change for Game 6

The Heat are contemplating a lineup change in advance of Tuesday's Game 6 vs. the Spurs.

Erik Spoelstra siad "we'll find out" when asked if his starting lineup would remain the same. It's possible Mike Miller will go back to the bench in favor of Udonis Haslem, but we'll have to wait until just before tipoff for official word.

Alex Len anticipates being cleared by camp

Alex Len (ankle surgery) anticipates being fully cleared by training camp in October.

Len had ankle surgery at the beginning of May, so whatever team that takes him is gambling on his short and long term health. Rumored to go anywhere from the top spot to somewhere inside the top 10, Len has already said he'll emerge as the best player in the draft down the road. He's going to have to prove it.

Russell Westbrook no longer needs crutches

Russell Westbrook (knee surgery) no longer needs crutches.

A great sign for Westbrook's recovery. He was expected to use crutches until about mid-June, so he shed them right on schedule. As things stand, there is no reason to believe Westbrook's availability will be compromised as he's on track to be ready well before the start of training camp.
