Stephen Curry (sprained ankle) is optimistic that he'll be able to play vs. the Lakers on Monday.

"Oh, for sure. It's not terrible, so I'm pretty optimistic," said Curry. "Of the two sprains I've had before this, I've only missed four games. So I'm not too worried about it." X-rays came back negative and Curry's ankle didn't look too swollen after the game, so it sounds like he dodged any serious injuries.

Jamal Murray played 2-on-2 on Tuesday for the first time since undergoing groin surgery back in April.

"He’s close. He thinks he’s ready to go right now," Connelly said. "Jamal is champing at the bit to play. He played two-on-two [Tuesday] morning, so his progression is coming along and he’s approaching rehab with the same aggression as he approaches play on the court. So I’m not surprised. He’s also huge right now. He’s put on good weight." Murray isn't expected to play at summer league, but he should be 100 percent by training camp. He could start at point for the Nuggets next season, so Murray could be in for a breakout Year-2 in Denver.

The Knicks reportedly have "legitimate" interest in re-signing Derrick Rose as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The Knicks reportedly aren't looking to pay a large salary to an incoming free agent, which could prove to be a sticking point for Rose, but at the same time, Rose's value is pretty depleted at the moment after yet another one of his seasons ended in knee surgery. If Rose does secure a deal with the Knicks this offseason, that'll put a damper on rookie Frank Ntilikina's fantasy potential.

The Celtics reportedly are reportedly pursuing a plan that would net them both Gordon Hayward and Paul George this offseason.

The Celtics will have the cap space to make a legitimate offer to Hayward, and the assets to present the Pacers with a competitive offer for Paul George, so they have the pieces in place to potentially put together a superteam of their own this offseason. Also, if the Celtics aren't able to secure Hayward via free agency, they will reportedly look to Blake Griffin as a plan B. If Boston is able to bring in another star player this offseason, Isaiah Thomas' value would take a slight hit.

Carmelo Anthony has reportedly recently tried to engage Knicks' management in talks regarding a buyout.

To be clear, Anthony's preference would be to remain in New York, and the Knicks have thus far resisted the idea of buying Melo out of his contract, but this is the first report we've seen indicating that Anthony is at least considering leaving the Knicks. The Knicks obviously would prefer to trade Anthony, but the no-trade clause in his contract complicates that situation. If Melo is able to work out a buyout with New York, Cleveland would be one of the early favorites to secure his services.

The Hornets announced on Tuesday that Malik Monk is doubtful to play in the Orlando Summer League due to a sprained left ankle.

Monk initially suffered the injury during the draft workout process. He will miss the Hornets summer league training camp in Charlotte, which begins on Wednesday. Per the team, Monk’s rehab is expected to last two to four weeks, and he's expected to be ready to participate in training camp prior to the start of the regular season. Although Hornets fans would like to get an early look at him, Charlotte has no reason to rush his rehab. Thus, it would be very surprising to see him suit up in Orlando.

Russell Westbrook was named the league MVP for the 2016-17 season.

Kevin Durant's departure set the franchise back several years, but Westbrook kept them relevant in the West by helping his team finish sixth in the West with a 47-35 record. Westbrook averaged a triple-double with 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 10.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 2.5 treys and 5.4 turnovers, breaking Oscar Robertson's record for most triple-doubles in a season with 43. Westy seems pretty happy to be the man in OKC and could be looking at an extension this worth $200+ million over five seasons this summer.

Draymond Green won the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year.

Rudy Gobert and Kawhi Leonard are every bit as deserving, but Green was due for one of these after Leonard took home the last two awards -- Green was the runner up the last two seasons. The two-time NBA champion's production slipped with Kevin Durant in Golden State, but he still was a top-25 player in standard leagues with averages of 10.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists. 1.4 blocks, 1.1 triples and a career-high 2.0 steals per game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo won the 2017 Most Improved Player Award.

Giannis led the Bucks to a sixth place finish in the East with a 42-40 record, earning a spot on the Eastern All-Star starting five in the process. The Greek Freak was a top-5 asset in standard leagues with averages of 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.9 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers on 52.2 percent shooting, becoming the first player in NBA history to finish in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Entering his age-23 season, you can make a strong argument of taking him with the No. 1 pick in fantasy drafts.

The Wizards have reportedly extended a qualifying offer to Bojan Bogdanovic.

This means Bogdanovic will become a restricted free agent along with Otto Porter. The Wizards will prioritize re-signing Porter, so Bogdanovic will only be back in Washington if his price doesn't get out of hand. After his mid-season trade from Brooklyn, Bogdanovic averaged 12.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 triples.

The Wizards have reportedly extended a qualifying offer to Otto Porter, making the forward a restricted free agent.

The Wizards have the ability to match any offer he receives, so it's hard to imagine them letting him go even though he could be looking at a max deal. The Nets are expected to make a strong push to pry him away from Washington, but several other teams should surface as we approach July 1. Porter averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.9 treys on 51.6 percent shooting, returning top-25 value in standard leagues.

Eric Gordon was named the 2017 Sixth Man of the Year, becoming the first Rockets player to win the award.

You could make a strong case for both Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams, but Gordon was the favorite all along. He had one of his best seasons in years and thrived in coach Mike D'Antoni's run-and-gun system, averaging 16.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.6 steals. He was able to stay healthy and appeared in 75 regular season games, and he was third in the NBA in 3-pointers made per game (3.3). The Rockets are rumored to be shopping Patrick Beverley and Williams, but Gordon likely isn't going anywhere with three more years left on his deal.
