Jordan Crawford started at shooting guard for the Celtics on Tuesday and had 14 points, four rebounds, six assists, a steal and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes, hitting 5-of-11 shots.

Courtney Lee was out with an ankle injury, but is leaning toward playing in the next one. And if that happens, Crawford's fantasy value will be much more volatile in a return to the bench. He's not a must-own player right now, but is probably worth holding until we see how things go once Lee is back.

Amare Stoudemire has dealt with back spasms in the past and given the amount of pain Melo is currently in, paints a not-so-pleasant picture of what Melo might be dealing with.

"Back spasms is nothing easy to deal with,’’ Stoudemire said. "Your whole body shuts down, it affects your central nervous system. It affects your entire body. It takes time to get over that spasm. It takes a lot of rest and recovery and a lot of rehab to get over that particular injury.’’ Not good. Melo's owners should probably start making alternative plans for not only this week, but potentially the next month or so, if Stoudemire's assessment is accurate. Speaking of Stoudemire, his role should be greatly increased in Melo's absence, while J.R. Smith is expected to start tonight.

Thaddeus Young is expected to return to action on Wednesday, although his role still hasn't been confirmed.

The team will wear pink shoe laces to honor Young's mother, who passed away from breast cancer recently. We should have an update on whether he's starting or not, but you can get him back in your lineup after missing the previous six games.
Nov 26 - 1:32 PM

Mo Williams missed shootaround Wednesday and is a game-time decision against the Bucks.

Williams has been sick for several days now and while it's possible he'll play tonight, it would not be surprising to see rookie Zach LaVine running the point for the Wolves tonight. On a side note, the Wolves will be wearing pink shoe laces as a tribute to Thaddeus Young's mother, who passed away from cancer recently.
Nov 26 - 12:58 PM

Dwyane Wade, who has missed seven straight games with a hamstring injury, was taking part in "explosive drill practice" on Wednesday.

The Heat are off until Sunday at New York and if Wade is doing those kind of drills, you'd have to think he might be ready to go four days from now. He says he's "hoping" to play on Sunday, but there's no way to tell given Wade's injury history.
Nov 26 - 12:39 PM

Dwight Howard (knee) and Patrick Beverley (hamstring) have both been ruled out for the Rockets for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

Beverley didn't have a chance of playing in this one and Howard will now miss his fourth straight game with a knee injury that didn't seem too serious initially. DeMarcus Cousins should have his way with the Rockets tonight, while whoever starts at PG for the Kings (Darren Collison is iffy) won't have to deal with Beverley's pesky defense.
Nov 26 - 11:49 AM

Evan Fournier will be a game-time call on Wednesday due to a quad injury.

He finally cooled off on Monday and suffered the injury in that game. If he can't go, it should mean more goodies for Victor Oladipo, who played 36 minutes on Monday and had his best game of the season.
Nov 26 - 10:59 AM

J.R. Smith is expected to start at forward in place of Carmelo Anthony (back) on Wednesday, according to coach Derek Fisher.

We'll have to wait and see who makes up the starting unit tonight, but Smith gets a boost in value with Carmelo very unlikely to play again before Sunday, at the earliest.
Nov 26 - 10:43 AM

Tobias Harris sat out the early portion of Wednesday morning's shootaround due to his calf injury.

He's listed as a game-time decision but the fact he wasn't an early participant this morning is obviously a bad sign.
Nov 26 - 10:40 AM

The Lakers are on the verge of signing F Earl Clark to a one-year contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

He'll help make up for the loss of Julius Randle, as well as the current injury to Carlos Boozer, but might also hurt the strong play of Ed Davis. Then again, Clark has never really lived up to the hype, but is averaging close to 30 points in the D-League this season.
Nov 26 - 10:15 AM

David West is hoping to make his season debut for the Pacers on Friday after dealing with a severely sprained since Oct. 18.

"(Coach Frank Vogel) will make the call," West said after practicing Tuesday. "The ankle is healthy which is important." It sounds like it's now or never for West, who has already missed 15 games. "We've exhausted all options in terms of getting it healthy. It was a bad sprain," West said. "I got really lucky that it just did what it did and didn't go any further. I got really lucky." Luis Scola will take a hit when West is ready to go at full speed.
Nov 26 - 9:30 AM

Derrick Rose (hamstring tightness) sat out the second half of Tuesday's game as a precaution, and he "didn't feel anything pop or pull" prior to his exit.

Tom Thibodeau asked Rose to sit out the second half and Rose agreed. The Bulls' former MVP was very tentative during the first half, as he was during Monday's game, but Thibodeau is hopeful that a few days of rest will have Rose ready to go for Friday's game in Boston. When asked if Rose would require an MRI, Thibs replied, "I don’t believe so. I think he's fine." Fantasy owners have played this game long enough to distrust the Bulls' injury updates, however, and we're unlikely to learn Rose's status until close to tip-off on Friday.
