Greivis Vasquez returned from his ankle injury on Wednesday and played 28 minutes, but missed both his shots and failed to score.

He finished with just four assists and a steal, and Brian Roberts also played 28 minutes off the bench. Vasquez is still the starter, but it looks like Roberts could have snuck in during his injury and set up a timeshare the rest of the way. Roberts had 10 points, three dimes and two 3-pointers, and is probably a good handcuff for owners who already have Vasquez.

Evan Turner struggled yet again on Sunday, scoring zero points on 0-of-6 shooting to go with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one turnover over 19 minutes of action.

Turner is now a combined 2-of-16 from the field over the past two games, and he was benched in favor of Marcus Smart for the entire second half. While the thumb issue may be affected his shot, his game in general just doesn't translate very well to fantasy basketball. He's averaging 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.7 turnovers as a starter on 43.0 percent shooting, and he's not a great asset in standard leagues.

Tyler Johnson had a terrific game off the Heat's bench during Sunday's win over the Celtics, putting up 13 points (4-of-9 shooting), nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks, one 3-pointer, and one turnover over 27 minutes of action.

Johnson put up career-highs across the board during this one, and he looked like a guy trying to earn a contract for the rest of the season. However, Johnson hadn't done much up to this point, and it's worth noting that he had plenty of opportunity tonight with both Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and Luol Deng (calf) sidelined. We'd like to see another few outings like this before recommending making an add in most leagues.
Feb 1 - 4:39 PM

Luol Deng (calf) said that he expects to play Tuesday vs. Detroit.

Deng said that he's felt good enough to go for the past three games, but the trainers have told him no. It sounds like he'll play Tuesday, and his return to the lineup will send Danny Granger back to the bench. He'll have some more opportunity on offense with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined, so make sure you have him active on Tuesday with a favorable matchup against the Pistons.
Feb 1 - 4:21 PM

Hassan Whiteside finished Sunday's win over the Celtics with 20 points (10-of-17 shooting), nine rebounds, and three blocks over 29.8 minutes of action.

Whiteside had another impressive showing today, knocking down mid-range jumpers, while pulling out a variety of low-post moves, and he looks to be the waiver wire pickup of the year. With the way he's been playing, it's insane with how many teams past on him, and congratulations are in order if you beat your league to the wire to land Hassanity.
Feb 1 - 3:44 PM

Jordan Hill left Sunday's game against the Knicks with a right quad strain and he will not return.

Hill will finish Sunday's game with just two points (1-of-3 shooting) and five rebounds, and he will be re-evaluated on Monday. We'll be sure to pass along updates as they become available, but Carlos Boozer, Ed Davis, and Ryan Kelly will all have some increased opportunity for as long as Hill is out.
Feb 1 - 2:41 PM

Anthony Davis (groin) is being listed as probable for Monday's game against Atlanta.

Davis' groin strain was never thought to be serious, and if he does indeed play on Monday, the injury will have only sidelined him for one game. His return to action will send Ryan Anderson to the bench, and Alexis Ajinca will go back to being a negligible option in most leagues. Stay tuned.
Feb 1 - 2:33 PM

Rajon Rondo (face) has already been ruled out for Monday's game against Minnesota.

The team's doctors are still evaluating Rondo, so we should have more details soon. Devin Harris will likely draw the start following this news and would be worth a look in deeper leagues, while Monta Ellis will have to carry even more responsibility on offense for the Mavericks.
Feb 1 - 12:54 PM

Joe Johnson missed practice on Sunday for personal reasons.

There's no word about a possible injury, but we should have more details on his absence shortly. There's nothing to suggest that Johnson wouldn't be available to play against the Clippers on Monday, but his owners will have to keep their head on a swivel for an update. Alan Anderson and Bojan Bogdanovic figure to benefit the most if Johnson misses any action.
Feb 1 - 12:44 PM

Deron Williams (ribs) practiced in full for the first time since his injury on Sunday and is officially listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Clippers.

D-Will is likely going to be eased into action upon his return, but Jarrett Jack will likely remain in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. However, D-Will is more than capable of putting up good numbers when he's active, so make sure he's not floating around the waiver wire in your league. We should know more about Williams' status following Monday's shootaround so stay tuned.
Feb 1 - 12:43 PM

Nick Young (ankle) will be active on Sunday against the Knicks, but coach Byron Scott said that he wouldn't play.

Coach Scott said that he wanted Young to go through a practice before he returns to action, so there's no cause for concern here. Consider Young day-to-day for now, while Wayne Ellington will continue to see increased production in Young's absence.
Feb 1 - 12:36 PM

Carmelo Anthony will play vs. the Lakers on Sunday as expected.

He wasn't listed on the injury report, but his owners will have to verify his status prior to every game due to all the concerns over his knee. Anthony will be a stud almost every time he's active, so feel free to pencil him into all lineups.
