David West (back) and Danny Granger (knee) are both expected to play on Thursday.

It will be West's first game back after missing six straight games, but he's not expected to be on a minutes limit. His return means Tyler Hansbrough's ride in fantasy lineups has come to its conclusion as he'll shift back to a bench role. As for Granger, he'll be eased in off the bench to determine just how far he's come with his troublesome knee and fantasy owners should have expectations firmly in check.

Robert Covington (lower back contusion) will play vs. the Thunder on Friday.

Richaun Holmes started in place of Covington on Tuesday, as the Sixers went big, but he'll return to a backup role vs. OKC. There's no suggestion of restrictions for Covington going forward, so make sure he's back in your active lineups.
Dec 14 - 2:07 PM

Draymond Green (shoulder) will not play on Thursday vs. the Mavericks.

Green wasn't spotted at the morning shootaround and was originally considered doubtful. The Warriors will have the next three days off before Monday's game vs. the Lakers, so hopefully the soreness in his shoulder subsides. Jordan Bell is a candidate for another start and is a strong streaming option vs. the Mavs. David West and Kevon Looney could be more involved as well.
Dec 14 - 1:51 PM

Jonathan Isaac (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday.

He's been out since Nov. 11, but the promising rookie should be back any day now. His status for Friday's game vs. the Blazers is still up in the air, but he does have a lot of stash appeal with the Magic banged up. He also has considerable upside, as he averaged 1.3 blocks in just 19.9 minutes per game.
Dec 14 - 1:44 PM

Lauri Markkanen (back) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Coach Fred Hoiberg did say that the rookie is feeling better, so hopefully he's ready to return after a two-game absence. He's not going to take contact at Thursday's practice, so we'll have to see how he feels after the morning shootaround. With Nikola Mirotic playing really well, Markkanen's minutes could be in danger.
Dec 14 - 1:15 PM

Danilo Gallinari (left glute contusion) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Wizards.

He's getting ruled out a full day before tip-off, but this isn't a surprise considering coach Doc Rivers was expecting him to miss additional time. Jamil Wilson could make another start in Gallinari's absence, but he's a poor fantasy option. Sam Dekker had 12 points, four rebounds, one assist and two triples in 26 minutes on Wednesday, so he's on the radar as a low-end streaming option.
Dec 14 - 1:05 PM

Allen Crabbe (left knee soreness) is questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

The Nets are one of the most cautious teams in the NBA, so there's a good chance we won't see Crabbe tonight. Brooklyn also plays on Friday, so this puts Joe Harris on the radar as a quality streaming option for owners in need of triples. If Crabbe sits, this would also give the Nets a chance to take their first look at Nik Stauskas.
Dec 14 - 11:51 AM

Dwight Howard piled up 26 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks in a losing effort vs. his former team on Wednesday, as the Hornets fell to the red-hot Rockets in Houston.

The loss dropped Charlotte to 2-11 on the road this season, and their 10-17 record leaves them 13th in the East, behind teams like Orlando, Brooklyn, Miami and New York. The good news is that six of their next seven games come at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. As for Dwight, he's simply rolling at age 32, and he even made 8-of-11 free throws tonight (13-of-18 in his past two games combined).
Dec 14 - 1:29 AM

Chris Paul racked up a season-high 31 points on Wednesday, making 10-of-18 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs with 11 assists, seven rebounds, five 3-pointers and two steals in 35 minutes.

The Rockets have yet to lose with CP3 in the lineup, going a pristine 12-0 including 11 straight victories. They pulled away tonight with a 25-0 run in the first half, and cruised to an easy win despite a human performance from MVP candidate James Harden, who had 21 points on 8-of-22 shooting, eight assists, four rebounds, three 3-pointers, one steal and one block. Friday night's showdown between the Spurs and Rockets should be required viewing for NBA fans.
Dec 14 - 1:27 AM

DeMar DeRozan matched his season-high 37 points during a 115-109 win over the Suns on Wednesday, adding seven rebounds, four assists and one turnover in 37 minutes.

The Raptors are playing some good ball these days with seven wins in their last eight, and it's all about their offense. In their last eight games, their starters have played the second most minutes together among all NBA combos (Wolves starters) and their 123.2 offensive rating in those 133 minutes ranks first in the NBA among the 26 combos with at least 48 minutes. As for DeRozan, he's been awesome in the pick-and-roll this year and he's on pace for his best field goal percentage since 2009-10.
Dec 14 - 1:23 AM

Serge Ibaka scored 21 points with 13 rebounds, one assist, one block and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.

His minutes are soaring these days with 31.2 per game over his last five, and his coach likes what he sees. "He had a pep in his step," head coach Dwane Casey. "I know we look at his points, but my thing was his rebounding. He was quick to the ball. He had three offensive rebounds, kept it alive." Ibaka was absolutely rolling even before this gem this month, averaging 18.4 points, 5.2 boards, 2.0 blocks and 3.0 treys on 55.4 percent from the field. He probably won't be this good, but Ibaka's high-floor game could make him flirt with early-round value the rest of the way.

Dec 14 - 1:14 AM

Troy Daniels scored a career-high 32 points with three rebounds, one block and seven 3-pointers during a 115-109 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday.

The Suns played yet another close game as their bench closed the gap, but the Suns are tied with the Hawks with their 21 losses -- the Suns have played an NBA-high 30 games along with the Celtics. As for Daniels, he tied his season high with seven treys to join Wesley Person as the only Suns players with multiple seven-plus trey games off the bench in a season. Daniels may be earning more late minutes while the Suns are trailing because Josh Jackson has some serious work to do. If you're hunting treys, Daniels may help you there, but he won't do much else.
