Brandon Rush (left knee) expects to begin running and light jumping in approximately three weeks.

He has been off crutches for nearly a month and it sounds as though his rehab is progressing well enough that he'll be ready to go for training camp. Rush has a $4 million player option for next season.

Terrence Jones started in place of Anthony Davis (quad) against the Cavs on Monday and went crazy, hitting 13-of-18 shots, 3-of-4 3-pointers and 7-of-10 free throws on his way to a career-high 36 points, 11 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in an impressive 124-122 win over LeBron and company.

Wow. TJ probably takes the title for most baffling fantasy player to own this season, as he bounces in and out of the startling lineup, while his fantasy lines are up and down like a yo-yo. He's scored nine or fewer points in two of his last five games, had 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on Friday, and then had the game of his life tonight against Kevin Love. With Davis banged up and his rich injury history, it's officially time to grab Jones and just hang on in hopes that he can permanently crack the starting lineup. But unfortunately, if he wasn't in your lineup tonight, you missed the biggest game he'll have this season, or probably ever.
Jan 23 - 11:14 PM

Kyrie Irving hit 15-of-28 shots, 8-of-14 3-pointers and 11-of-11 3-pointers for a season-high 49 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in Monday's 124-122 loss to the Pelicans.

The 49 points were a season high for a Cavs' player, while Kyrie's career high is 54 points. This game was an offensive bonanza and Irving is hot, scoring at least 26 points in four of his last five games. He's starting for the East in the All-Star Game and after tonight's performance, it looks a little better on paper, although Kyle Lowry is still having the better season. The Cavs have lost five of their last seven games, which is hard to believe after Irving's 49, Kevin Love's big double-double, and LeBron James' triple-double tonight.
Jan 23 - 11:08 PM

LeBron James hit 11-of-21 shots and a 3-pointer for 26 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and six turnovers in 44 minutes of Monday's surprising loss to the Pelicans.

This was LeBron's fourth triple-double of the season, but this was a tough loss for his team, facing a New Orleans team that featured Anthony Davis in street clothes with a quad injury. The Cavs are reeling right now, losing five of their last seven games, and while they're probably not too worried about it, our guess is they've gotten the wake up call and will get hot again, starting on Wednesday against the Kings.
Jan 23 - 11:01 PM

Isaiah Whitehead scored a career-high 19 points in Monday's loss to the Spurs.

He scored six points in nine minutes during garbage time of the fourth quarter, but this was one of Whitehead's best games of the season. He finished 6-of-15 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line with a pair of 3-pointers, adding three assists and one rebound in 29 minutes. Whitehead will have a chance to log plenty of minutes going forward with Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out another 3-5 weeks, but keep in mind that he was averaging just 6.6 points and 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in his previous 11 January games. Owners in deeper points leagues can just keep an eye on him for now.
Jan 23 - 10:33 PM

Dewayne Dedmon started on Monday vs. the Nets and scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Dedmon drew the start in place of David Lee and he helped limit Brook Lopez to 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting. The Spurs only have one legitimate rim protector right now and that's Dedmon, so we could see him pick up more starts in certain matchups. The Spurs face Jonas Valanciunas on Tuesday and he will likely be a featured part of the offense with DeMar DeRozan (ankle) out, so starting Dedmon again would make sense. With Pau Gasol (hand) likely out 4-6 weeks, give Dedmon a look if you need help in FG percentage, rebounds, steals and blocks.
Jan 23 - 10:00 PM

Austin Rivers (ankle) is available to return on Monday vs. the Hawks.

The injury looked pretty bad and Rivers had quite a limp, but the Clippers finally get some injury luck with this report. Rivers was the best player on the floor in the first half, so his owners are very fortunate right now. We'll let you know how he fares after the game.
Jan 23 - 8:51 PM

Terrence Jones is starting in place of Anthony Davis on Monday vs. the Cavaliers.

The last time Davis missed a game on Jan. 12, Jones started and went bonkers with 24 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one triple 38 minutes. Jones is an elite handcuff for Davis' owners, but he also has some standalone value which makes him worth owning in standard leagues.
Jan 23 - 8:15 PM

Marvin Williams (right big toe contusion) has returned on Monday vs. the Wizards.

He briefly left the game and went back to the locker room, but he returned to the bench moments later and quickly checked back into the game. We'll have an update after the game, but this sounds very minor. Frank Kaminsky will benefit if this issue lingers.
Jan 23 - 7:44 PM

Steven Adams (concussion) will play on Monday vs. the Jazz.

He returns just in time to face Rudy Gobert. The matchup is brutal, but season-long owners can activate Adams in lineups after a two-game absence. Barring a surprise, Jerami Grant will return to the bench with Adams back in action.
Jan 23 - 7:41 PM

Dewayne Dedmon will start in place of David Lee on Monday vs. the Nets.

It makes sense. The Spurs will need Dedmon's defense against Brook Lopez and this move should keep Lee somewhat fresh for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors. Lee still looks like the better pickup in standard leagues after coming off two straight double-doubles, but Dedmon is worth keeping an eye on if you're searching the wire for blocks.
Jan 23 - 7:32 PM

Kyle Anderson will start at small forward in place of the resting Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard will be back on Tuesday vs. Toronto, so Anderson is not a viable fantasy pickup. In nine previous starts this season, Anderson averaged 3.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steal. We should see a heavy dose of Jonathon Simmons as well.
