Jason Maxiell will miss the rest of the season due to a detached retina.

It's a disappointing end to Maxiell's season, in which he averaged 6.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 25 minutes per game. His absence makes Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe even more secure options down the stretch, and Jonas Jerebko figures to pick up extra minutes in a reserve role.

Kevon Looney is getting another start in Game 6 on Saturday.

He'll be out there with the other four All-Stars for the third time in a row as Andre Iguodala (leg) recovers). Looney likely won't have as much defensive pressure on him in this game because he won't have to get switched on to Chris Paul (hamstring), but the Rockets almost certainly will try to put him on James Harden when they can. Looney has scored four points in each of last three games with little else, so the bar isn't very high in DFS.

Chris Paul (hamstring) said he's "hopeful to return to the court this postseason," according to TNT's Kristen Ledlow.

He's out tonight and he is going to be re-evaluated once the team is back in Houston while getting daily treatment. The Rockets did rule Paul out early on Friday, and there really hasn't been much optimism of him suiting up for a potential Game 7 on Monday. With him out today, Eric Gordon starts while Gerald Green and Luc Mbah a Moute handle the vast majority of the bench minutes.
May 26 - 8:15 PM

Luc Mbah a Moute will return to the rotation on Saturday against the Warriors.

The Rockets were basically running a 6.5-man rotation before the Chris Paul (hamstring) injury, so now it looks like Mbah a Moute will be stepping in as the seventh man with Gerald Green on the bench. It's possible that coach Mike D'Antoni keeps LMAM on a shorter leash given his struggles, but he could get 15-20 minutes at Oracle this evening.
May 26 - 7:39 PM

Andre Iguodala (leg) will not play in Game 6 on Saturday, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

He is still day-to-day, but the team still has concerns about how he's healed from his injury in Game 3. With him out, the Warriors shouldn't be in dire straits with perimeter defense this time because Chris Paul is out, as well. We should still see Kevon Looney in the starting lineup while Jordan Bell, Shaun Livingston and Quinn Cook help out on the bench.

Taurean Prince said he'll focus on his handles and on-ball defense this summer.

"Turning defense into offense—that seems to be a key," Prince said. "But most importantly, ball handling. If you tighten up your ball handling, everything else becomes easier." New coach Lloyd Pierce also said that the Hawks haven't played their best ball yet, and it sounds like he's going to ask Prince to do even more. Needless to say, Prince will be a hot fantasy target after a really strong offensive finish last season.

Andre Iguodala (leg) remains questionable for Game 6 on Saturday.

There's still some concern on Iguodala and he is day-to-day. The Warriors haven't been doing a shootaround, which means we likely won't get an update until 7:30 EDT. The Warriors were hoping to have him for Game 4, but he has been out since his injury in Game 3. If he's out, Quinn Cook and Shaun Livingston could see run along with Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney up front.
May 26 - 3:45 PM

Jayson Tatum was evaluated by doctors on Saturday, and there's no concern of a concussion.

He felt great after the game and today, as well. "Nothing there to be concerned about," coach Brad Stevens said. Tatum did take some contact to his head from the Kevin Love collision and he didn't look like himself for about half the game, so the team will evaluate him again before Game 7 on Sunday. For now, expect him to get 36-40 minutes in Game 7.
May 26 - 3:15 PM

The Warriors are planning to activate Pat McCaw (back) for Game 6 on Saturday, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

He's officially being called questionable. This is great news after McCaw suffered a scary fall against the Kings on Mar. 31. He's been doing some on-court work with the team and was getting shots up during shootaround on Thursday. He probably won't be in the rotation tonight, but maybe that'll change. Regardless, this is a pleasant surprise today.
May 26 - 2:25 PM

Kevin Love (concussion) has been ruled out for Game 7 on Sunday.

He was just placed in the concussion protocol, and it would have been almost impossible to clear that if he is still dealing with symptoms at this time of day. Love does have a history of concussions with his most recent one coming in March, so it's possible he would be out beyond a possible win on Sunday. It should be Jeff Green starting with more Larry Nance. Tristan Thompson may also have to play a little more in this game.

Spurs assistant coaches Ettore Messina and Ime Udoka interviewed with the Raptors for the franchise's head coaching job on Thursday and Friday, respectively, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

The Raptors went to the Texas assistant well the last time, but it was with Dwane Casey and the Mavs. Messina and Udoka are two of the top three assistant coaches with Messina taking the head job while Gregg Popovich was away from the team in April. The Raptors have also looked into internal options with Nick Nurse, Rex Kalamian and G-League coach Jerry Stackhouse. Hopefully, they have a hire well before the NBA Draft.
May 26 - 12:21 AM

Jeff Green scored 14 points with three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

He started the second half for Kevin Love (head) and gave the Cavs some of his best minutes of the series. Green had been playing well against the Raptors, but he was losing minutes up until today. He was terrific in the post on offense to take at least a little pressure of LeBron James, and he was in the right spots on D. Coach Ty Lue would almost certainly have to extend Green's minutes while Love is on the shelf. He'd be a DFS play on Sunday.
