Larry Sanders scored a career-high 24 points in Monday's win over the Bobcats, adding 13 boards and two assists on 11-of-19 shooting.

It's the best matchup for big men and the Bobcats give up big lines to frontcourt guys like nobody's business. Sanders also only committed one foul, but didn't have a block for the second game in a row. Since the All-Star break, his minutes, scoring and rebounding are up while his fouls and blocks are down, so he's playing with a little more control these days. He's still a beast.

Norris Cole (finger) will not play Sunday vs. the Hornets.

Chalmers will draw the start at point guard tonight with Cole sidelined, and he has a favorable matchup vs. the Hornets. Shannon Brown will likely draw another start at shooting guard, and Shabazz Napier will also get some additional run off the bench. Chalmers is looking like a must-start guy for Sunday, and Napier is coming off two solid games making him an attractive plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Brown logged 36 minutes in his last outing, but was only able to turn in seven points and two assists, making him a risky daily league option.
Nov 23 - 4:28 PM

Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Hornets.

That's six games and counting for Wade, and he remains without a definitive return date. Mario Chalmers has been the main beneficiary of Wade's absence, and he's currently averaging 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers with the starting unit. Norris Cole (finger) has also been ruled out for Sunday's game, so Chalmers is going to get all the minutes he can handle.
Nov 23 - 4:23 PM

Roy Hibbert (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Dallas.

Hibbert sprained his left ankle during Saturday's game and did not return. Owners will want to check back for an official update on his status closer to Monday's tip, but if he's unable to go, Ian Mahinmi would draw the start at center. Mahinmi put up 12 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, one block, and one assist during his last outing, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues if Hibbert is sidelined.
Nov 23 - 3:53 PM

Carlos Boozer (shoulder) is being listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Nuggets.

If Boozer is unable to go, Ed Davis will draw the start, and depending on how Davis fares the move could become permanent. Scott has grown tired of Boozer's uninspired play on the defensive end, as he's currently sitting on a +/- rating of minus-90 on the season. Meanwhile, Davis has been racking up the defensive stats in limited playing time and is currently a plus-6 on the year. If Boozer is unable to suit up Sunday, Davis could see his minutes in the 30s, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues.
Nov 23 - 3:06 PM

Jeremy Lin said that his back is fine and he will suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Nuggets.

The injury was never considered serious, so go ahead and get him in your lineups. Lin is not getting a lot of FGA this year playing next to Kobe Bryant, averaging just 8.0 attempts per game to go with 11.8 points, 4.8 assists, 1.1 three-pointers, and a career-worst 0.8 steals. He's not a must-start guy on a nightly basis, but as the only true starting-caliber point guard in LA, he's worth owning in standard leagues.
Nov 23 - 3:00 PM

Brandon Jennings (thumb) did not practice on Sunday, and is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks.

The good news is x-rays were negative, so Jennings is just dealing with a sprain. If he's unable to go on Tuesday, D.J. Augustin will get all the minutes he can handle, and Spencer Dinwiddie could see some extended run off the bench. Augustin makes sense as a speculative add in standard leagues, but just know his value will be short-lived.
Nov 23 - 2:51 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) was sent home to Chicago to be evaluated by team doctors, and he will not play Monday vs. the Jazz or Tuesday vs. the Nuggets.

Nikola Mirotic will be the main beneficiary of Gibson's absence, and he is coming off a 24-point 11-rebound outing vs. Portland. If Pau Gasol (calf) is also unable to suit up on Monday, Mirotic is going to get all the minutes he can handle, and he makes for a decent speculative add in standard leagues for owners with roster space. Just know that Mirotic's value could be short-lived with Gasol nearing a return.
Nov 23 - 2:44 PM

Pau Gasol (calf) was a full participant during Sunday's practice, and is hopeful he'll be able to suit up for Monday's game vs. the Jazz.

Gasol said that he's feeling much better, and he hasn't had a setback with the calf strain so far, so things are looking positive for him returning to action on Monday. However, if Gasol is unable to go Nikola Mirotic would be in for a heavy heaping of minutes with Taj Gibson (ankle) already ruled out for Monday and Tuesday.
Nov 23 - 2:35 PM

Derrick Rose (hamstring) will practice on Sunday, but he remains a game-time decision for Monday's game vs. the Jazz.

It's a constant guessing game with Rose, so owners will want to check back closer to Monday's tip for an official update on his status. With both Rose and Kirk Hinrich (chest) headed for game-time decisions on Monday, Aaron Brooks could be in for a big game, although Brooks has failed to capitalize on the increased opportunity a couple times this season.
Nov 23 - 2:25 PM

Andrea Bargnani will be out indefinitely after straining his calf muscle during Friday's workout.

Bargnani has been pretty awful for the past couple years, and he just can't seem to stay healthy. Until he can actually suit up for a game, Bargnani belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Brook Lopez sat out the entire fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to San Antonio, finishing with a mere six points, four rebounds and one block in 25 minutes.

Lopez has been very inconsistent since returning from foot surgery, and his fantasy value has relied solely upon 15.3 points, 1.0 steals, 1.7 blocks and solid percentages. He's averaging a mere 5.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists and has struggled defensively, which is part of the reason he's playing under 30 minutes per game. Fantasy owners won't complain as long as he's healthy, but it would be nice to see him find a groove before the New Year.
