Elliot Williams is away from the Blazers following the death of his mother.

Coach Terry Stotts told Williams to take as much time as he needs. Williams is already out for the season with an Achilles injury.

Hornets waive G Briante Weber.

He destroyed the G League, but Weber didn't do much with the Warriors and Hornets. Reading between the lines, this could be a sign the Hornets are OK with the idea of playing Malik Monk at point guard. Weber should get a non-guaranteed deal for an NBA camp.

Ramon Sessions and the Knicks have agreed on a one-year, $2.3 million deal, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

There's a decent chance he starts for the Knicks. Frank Ntilikina is a serious project and the Knicks likely don't want to start Ron Baker despite his contract. Sessions has been very durable in his NBA career and his claim to fame is his 83-game season in 2013-14, so he could actually be a name to watch in fantasy.

Brandon Jennings has accepted a one-year, $1.5 million deal to play for China Shanxi.

He hopes to play in the NBA after the Chinese season ends, so he'll be a popular name in March. Jennings should be able to light it up in China and will probably have some record-breaking performances. His NBA career has been on the downswing after his 15.4 points per game in 2014-15, but he projects as an NBA backup.

Nets waive G Archie Goodwin.

He had a solid summer league, but the addition of Allen Crabbe likely sealed Goodwin's fate. He has an NBA body and can get to the rim, but his lack of a jumper has been a thorn in his side for his career. He'll likely get a camp invite in October.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Heat "are willing to part with Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow as centerpieces" in a trade for Kyrie Irving.

It's a strong offer from Miami, but Wojnarowski notes that, due to the strained relationship between Miami and Cleveland, "there's little chance for a deal unless the Heat offered an overwhelming package." The key to the trade would be how Cleveland views Winslow, who is a promising prospect but has had a rocky start to his NBA career. Woj also reports that six other teams have submitted formal offers for Irving: San Antonio Spurs, L.A. Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks.

Terrance Ferguson agreed to his four-year rookie scale deal, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

It's unusual for a first-round pick to take this long on signing a deal, but he finally received clearance from FIBA to sign with OKC. The rookie's outlook doesn't look as great today as it does when he was drafted because the Thunder added Paul George. Ferguson will likely be spending most of his time with the OKC Blue in the G League.

JaVale McGee has agreed to re-sign with the Warriors, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.com.

Nick Young and JaVale McGee are together again. McGee had a simple role with the Dubs as a rim-runner, rim protector, and catching some lobs. He had some very important minutes in the postseason and will look to get some backup minutes again. After winning the title last year, the Warriors sure do know how to keep their team together.

According to Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily, the word around Brooklyn is that Allen Crabbe will start at small forward.

If true, this means the Nets will likely roll with a first unit of Jeremy Lin, D'Angelo Russell, Crabbe, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Timofey Mozgov, with Caris LeVert, Sean Kilpatrick and DeMarre Carroll seeing significant minutes off the bench. Crabbe was 3rd in the NBA in 3-point percentage last season, but he's looking forward to an "expanded role" and hopes to prove that he's more than just a shooter. Crabbe's fantasy arrow is pointing up and he's now on the radar in the later rounds.

The Wolves have interest in Ian Clark, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

This report adds that Clark has turned down minimum offers. A report from Tuesday said that the Lakers aren't in for Clark anymore, which would've made a ton of sense with his former coach Luke Walton. Clark is arguably the best point guard on the market and he would be a fantastic fit as a backup with the Wolves for his shooting.

When asked if the Cavs intended to trade Kyrie Irving, new general manager Koby Altman called the situation "fluid" and that the team has been in touch with Irving's representation.

Owner Dan Gilbert said it wasn't appropriate to discuss the details of the team's meeting with Irving, but he does expect the All-Star guard to be at camp. Gilbert also addressed the narrative of the Cavs having a tough offseason. "This thing is not broken," Gilbert said. When Altman was asked if Kyrie and LeBron James could co-exist, he talked a lot about the past, and said some reports of animosity between them have been "overblown" recently. Basically, the Cavs aren't going to be able to ignore this elephant in the room and the Kyrie trade talk won't be going away any time soon.

LeBron James will be working out with Derrick Rose, Eric Bledsoe and others in Las Vegas, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

This will probably help fuel the Bledsoe for Kyrie Irving trade rumors. Although, Bledsoe and LeBron have been close for years, they have worked out together before, and they both have Rich Paul as their agent. In other words, this is not a surprise and there's a very good chance this has nothing to do with the trade rumor. Bledsoe has said he'd like to win now and the Suns would probably like to move him to focus on their player development, so expect plenty of rumors to follow.
